*Lifts an eyebrow, feeling a wave of Cross-induced dread wash over her at where this is going.* ... 'Pressure?'
*Rips her gloves off of her arms, getting ready for the surprise.* You know killing your apprentices on the first day is generally frowned upon, right?

"Get prepared," He gave her a serious look. He wasn't planning on letting any real harm come to her, but he didn't want this to be easy, either. His apprentices were never whiny little twits like some of the others. She has to learn to hold her own early...
As he said the words, the lid lifted as a large, bulbous level one Akuma squeezed it's way out. It had that same sinister grin that they all held, as it focused its gaze on Sillie, cocking its guns with a "chachunk" sound.

To be honest, the first thing that went through her mind when she saw the Level 1 akuma squeeze out of the trunk went like so: first, how the hell did Cross get a level one akuma in a trunk? Two, this isn't good. Three, “You're insane!”
Luckily her flight-or-fight instincts were decently honed just from the sheer amount of crazy happenstances that had occurred in the Order over the last few months. Instead of standing in the way of the purple energy-based bullets of the level one, she took off on a dead sprint, barely managing to avoid the promise of immense pain. With a shift on her side she slid behind the couch, taking cover for a moment as she looked at the Innocence shards twinkling in her arms, willing them to activate or do something. “Come on guys, give a new comer a break, huh?”
She squeezed her hands into fists for a moment, feeling a surge of power and connection flowing through both of her arms. Mentally she grabbed hold of it, and soon a layer of sharp, silver, large sized scale-like armor took over her right arm like a glittering elegant glove hiding a dark secret. Silver spikes inched out from between, making her eyes open wide. Feeling more assured, she leapt from over the couch and took the direct approach-- the protruding spikes grew and she moved to strike the Akuma directly in its hideous smirking face. The second she swiped the back of her arm against it, though, her innocence deactivated and she shouted a rather colorful, unlady-like word to express her feelings.

Cross watched the fight, looking lazy, but actually alert. This may be just a level one, but it was still capable of some damage. He was proud when Sillie managed to activate her Innocence. It looked like it was going to be easy, until she struck, and her Innocence deactivated. The Akuma was struck in the face with nothing but human flesh of Sillie's backhand.
The Akuma let out a groan, and floated back a little bit, before directing one of its guns directly at Sillie's forehead. Cross began to mutter some incantations under his breath, calling forth Maria. She rose from the casket that he had so conveniently placed in the corner earlier. She lifted her arms above her head in a small stretch, and began to sing a serene tune, forming a shield in front of Sillie. The Akuma took its shot, but the bullets just exploded against the shield.
"Hurry up and regain yourself! Activate again! In 5..4...3...2," Cross counted down until Maria let the shield fall, giving Sillie a second try at activation.
