yeah...read below:
when she was born, she had a tattoo of a dragon on her back and was born with small fangs as well as small horn nubs. frightened she was a demon, they had to wait a few years until someone who could exorcise the whole village could come up. until then they kept her in a dark cave. losing the nubs and fangs when normal babies were getting their teeth (but she kept the tattoo), she learned to walk really early, and her senses were heightened from living most of her life in the dark. one thing she wasn't exceptional at was speaking, though people always knew what she wanted through emotional telepathy. eventually making it out from the cave on her own, Vera was blinded by the sun and cried. a kind man who was new to the village (and who happened to be the priest) saw her and took her back. he couldn't understand why the people were terrified, since she looked like a beautiful enough toddler to him...but it had only been maybe three years, and she looked like she was at least five, or six. not understanding their tale, he shrugged and exorcised Vera...with no real effect. this however wiped out her emotional telepathy and triggered her to speak...in dragon. now kind of freaked, the priest left and the people tried to convince her to go back into the cave. afraid of being alone since she had been shown kindness she refused, her cries still able to be heard mentally to an overpassing dragon who had smelled weird scents in the cave which had been a sort of "pit stop" rest area for his clan.
razing the village until he could find the child, he didn't care that most of the people fleed and some died. he couldn't find her since she was COMPLETELY silent by now, until she walked out from a house that was on fire, unscathed. convinced she was part dragon he took her home with him....this is the beginning of her memories, her past life in the cave and village unremembered
they brought her up, teaching her how to control her dragon half. she could handle mundane fire easily, and showed an affinity for wind as well. happy at such a pairing, the dragons taught her wind magic too though it was a little slower going for her than fire. her hair turned from its original black to silver as she handled more raw elemental magic. she knew some earth and water spells too, but not too many. she was also able to morph into a dragon slightly, but not full bodied; either she can cover herself with blue scales, grow claws and/or fangs, or just wings...that's all. slightly disappointed, she would fly by herself, drifting on the friendly winds she enjoyed controlling for a better flight experience as she tried to remember her blank past. seeing her start to pine away though she always kept a smile for her adoptive family, the dragon leader took on a human shape to enroll her into the school, and explained all they knew of her and her past to her before sending her off. she also left with a few precious gems she had picked out from his personal hoard, and a silver pendent of a stylized flying dragon. she was followed by a small drake that was at least as intelligent as a cat and can communicate to her either in dragon or in her mind...he's a sort of "familiar" that chose her and makes spells easier for her to use, and she also has a mountain lion that's larger than normal as a friend. they can't talk but she has a connection to where she knows how he's feeling and what he wants...kind of like her earliest communication
to this day he is still in his 'human' form, unable to return back for at least a thousand years, so he will check up on her every now and then as her "father" since he had adopted her...however it's obvious he's not actually human since he's a muscular six feet with small horns coming from his head and long luscious hair and gorgeous dangerous beauty no human could match. not to mention he can still breath fire...
that's her bio ^^; sorry about the length...and why one of the powerful sirens??? 0.o poor vera indeed...lmao. meaning to say, thanks XD i hope dawn can deal with moody animals with a light hand XD

you like vamps? below im starting a story that's also gonna be a one on one role play with a friend of mine:
Being emotionless is key to every successful hunter, whether for food or money. In a world full of darkness and the monsters that hide inside it, there can be no such thing as emotion or sympathy for those that reside inside it, killing unnecessarily for fun and the thrill of bloodshed. They have lost all they have once been, and so no longer have human emotions. Or any vestige of humanity for that matter. They kill emotionlessly, so no emotion must be wasted on these monsters...
...even if you are one.
I looked down from the half moon as the mark moved fluidly beneath me, my slit eyes tracking its movement fairly easily despite the shadows it was wrapping around itself. You may wonder why i keep referring to the mark as an "it"...to me, it lost all humanity with the first innocent human it fed on. I smiled a harsh grin of death, pointed canines shining in the moonlight. Running through the trees without turning a single leaf, I was as silent as the grave, and as invisible as the vampyre below. With inhuman speed we raced under the misty moonlight with me slowly gaining. Finally I leapt down to land on its back. Hissing, the vamp tried to throw me off, calling shadows with a dusty raspy voice to yank me off. Resisting the deathly chill clawing at the fragments of my splintered soul I hissed back in response, my pale skin beautiful as porcelain under the moon reflecting in its dark eyes as I raised the giant splinter of wood from my thigh holders...and ended its second existence.
Leaving the undead thing to its consuming shadows, I opened a funny-looking container that resembled a large cigarette lighter. Only instead of flicking it to start a flame, I flipped open the silver cap with the habitual slight hiss of discomfort on my part and watched as the essence of the vampyre left the delicate remains that would disintegrate into dust once the sun hit it...and was caught into my little device. It wasn't so much a soul; that left once it had turned and killed its first innocent child and used its unholy magics from that ruinous strength. Brushing the remaining clingy shadows off from my arms, I shivered at the near brush of nonexistence I had to risk to take down the stupid vamp. One advantage is, vampyre attacks don't normally affect other vampyres....yay, lucky me. Woot.
But it did hurt the other half, leaving me feeling drained and slightly hollow, like i haven't eaten for a while. I figured it was time to go home and see what I could force myself to choke down. Walking away, I left the opulent clothes the beast had been wearing for anyone who would have wanted them, for whatever reason. I left all that, and my paycard...an elongated opal with an open end all in silver with a black blade against a creamy background. Yeah, it pays to be badass.
A shadow with a gleaming cross regarded the retreating hunter from a distance, and with a thoughtful look walked forward to pick up the business card, smiling slightly at the picture shown as he flipped it over. Tucking it into a pocket, he smiled a little and said a short prayer honering God above for another erasing of a dangerous being that was a blight to His creation. With this, he walked away, a knowing look in the deep green eyes as the reflection of the half moon shone in his glasses. "So that's the Hunter i have heard tales about..."
