Im holding out with vain hope for CG added effects, and a butt load of smoke/mist/tinted camera fronts to prevent the HORRIBLE brghtness of the clothing coming out. Dante wears red, not RED!

Anyone remember that "rumour" that Tom Cruise was to play Dante? (I say rumour, I STILL WON'T BELIEVE IT! Its not truuue *flails and sobs*)

Apparently you haven't played DMC4. The rumour was floating around, and I was HORRIFIED by it, then DMC4 came out and I was yet again, horrified. They had modeled Dante's face after Tom's, and I swear to god he voice acted for the release. The worst part is, it sounds, and looks alright IN THE GAME. I think I would start chewing on my own wrists if they actually cast him in a live action adaptation.

Tom Cruise was horrific unti I played 4. Then it was only brain stalling. As time has gone on, the idea has grown on me somewhat, but I reserve judgement until such time as I SEE this movie and either crawl under a rock and refuse to EVER come out again, or suddenly have renewed faith in humanity.
Akiko? The question you and I should be asking is... what male can we put with Cruise to make things acceptable? xd Now THERE is a brain stalling thought.

I was far too busy fapping over white haired men to consider who was doing what and when.
I honestly quite enjoyed 4, it didn't occur to me to look closely at facial features and compare, since i'd rather not remember what TC looks like for more than 5 minutes. There's a white haired man with a big... sword? First thought: hump it.
Roany: someone who isn't 4ft tall, religious and actually owns a brain/p***s? Give me Christian Bale with a dye job. Or the guy who voiced Dante in the DMC3. Honestly, I don't mind too much about TC, but at the same time... I really can't comprehend it properly.

I must be one of the only people without a bizarre hatred for Tom cruise, yes he has a stupid religion, and on numerous occasions acts like a t**t, but he had proved on numerous occasions that he CAN act. Couple that with the fact that Dante in DMC4 does look like him, and I'm willing to accept that he may be good in the role.
