"I can do much more than break the jewel." He replied. his cold eyes turned back to Sedric sleeping by the tree. He squeezed the jewel between his fist.
"Aggh!" Sedric cried. He woke up and grabbed at his chest.
"If you let me take him with me...I'll let him keep his wretched life."

He punched Kumi out of the way, and walked closer to Sedric. "You're coming back to where you belong."
"You!!" Sedric said angrily through gasps of air. "Eerrg!!" He staggered to get up. "I'll g-get rid.. of you...right h-here!" he fell back to his knees.

Serene ran out of nowhere and grabbed her staff and whaked the man over the head which left him unconcious. "Sedric? are you okay?" she cried, rushing over to Kumi, Sango, Yuki and Sedric.

"They aren't making this easy." he said to himself. "I'll change that." he gripped the jewel tighter, and disapeared.
