What Program do I use?
hokays.
For the headshots I'm doing here, Open Canvas 1.1 + some adjestments and saving in photoshop.
For alot fo the CG work in my dA gallery, Photoshop 7.
Annnd. I sometimes use Painter 10 <3
What Tools do I use?
Open Canvas: The Pen tool to sketch the rough idea out, and then the water colour tool to colour. I then use the pen tool again to define shapes and to do some out lines + high lights.
Photoshop: I use the pen tool 98.5% of the time in photoshop. To blend colours, I use different Opacitys (normally apply a base colour, and then build on it with 4% and up opacity colour layers) and then just repetivily go over areas with the different hues.
On the Colours:
I generally just go by what I think looks nice. I didn't lean anything about colour theory until early this year (I know, I'm slow), and I still don't like what alot of it tells me.
So. yah.

Please don't feel pressured into making art for me just 'cause I did for you. I did that one 'cause your art inspired me. Don't commit yourself to making art for me, and if it happens then that's cool. If not, then I consider it a fair trade already.
I've never really thought much about wanting art. Well, that's a lie. I watched a movie once, and someone said that a good rule about buying art is to never buy something unless you can't live without it. I live by that rule, and pretty much never buy art. In fact I've only bought one work of art in my entire life. It was a print actually, and I really bought it because of what the artist had to say about herself.
Anyway, maybe what I'd like more than receiving art from you is just to get to know you and become your friend. I know it's not something you can give, but something that developes over time.
(I'm being way to corny.)
But in all honesty, I'd like to try it out.
What kinda stuff do you do on gaia? I used to be really into Gaia when I first started. I'd post everywhere and RP all the time in lots of different threads, but now I don't find the motivation. I can't seem to get into the RPs anymore or find anyone I feel is worth talking to. Mostly all I ever do here is make art or watch other artists.
