"I'm not sure," Isiah answered.

Braeden leaned back while Tsurai screamed, throwing his hands up, pushing himself up from his haunches to walk back to his little hovel.

Isiah watched him go and returned his gaze to Tsurai.

Tsurai turned back toward Isiah. "Sorry. But I couldn't stand him laughing at me.."

Connor wiped his face, blinking heavily. "How'd you get those scars on your back, kid?" He asked, gruffly, slowly returning to his old demeanor.

Tsurai took a step back, "Well, I, uh.." He hesitated. "Stab wounds. Bad knife fights. But I don't do that stuff anymore. I don't even fight anymore."
"Most people get stab wounds in the front. What kind of fight gets you in the back?"
Tsurai gave a pleading look to Isiah, before looking back at Connor.
"I... Don't want to talk about it."

Connor, finally back to his old self, reached out and grabbed the dogtags, pulling the DuPloy forward. "You're going to have to start wanting to talk about it, DuPloy."

Isiah spoke quietly. "Connor, stop. Please." He didn't know why Connor was being so aggressive all of the sudden. It was uncharacteristic of him. He briefly thought perhaps it was because he was being the overprotective boyfriend, but Connor didn't seem the type for that, either. He must have had some.. past issue.

"It's unnecessary."

Tsurai closed his eyes, only resisting enough to stay standing while Connor yanked his tags again.
"You never told me he was a DuPloy. Whatever he did to you Isiah- WHatever it was, I'm sure it's worth all the hatred you can muster."

Connor looked down at how pathetic Tsurai was looking. It must've been another act. Duploys were like that- unrighteous pieces of crap.
"Don't play dumbw ith me, DuPloy, you look at me while I've got you."
Tsurai did as he was told, frowning.
"Quit it. I know what these tags are for and I'm not afraid to use them, kid."
Connor slid his hand up the chain, so his fist was against Tsurai's throat, making it hard to breathe.
"I'm not... Please..." Tsurai hoarsed, closing his eyes.
"Shut up and look at me!" Connor shot back.

Isiah grabbed onto the back of Connor''s undershirt, yanking him back. "Let him go, Connor! He''s not like that! Leave him alone!" Kaegan''s head popped up.

Great, he mused. How long did it take? A half hour? He stood from his place and began to mosey over to where the excitement was going on.

Tsurai leaned back, pulling his chain away from him, as if the weight of it would still choke him, even though Connor had let go.

Connor took a step back with a growl. "Don't you know what he is? I'm sorry for not entirely believing you before, Isiah. But now that I know he's a DuPloy, he deserves whatever punishment we can give him!"
He glared down at Tsurai. "You should quit acting so guilty, kid. It doesn't phase me."

Tsurai swallowed. "But.. I've never met you..."

"Doesn't matter. What you and your family did was wrong, and you should pay for your sins," Connor glowered.

"I didn't do anything, not to you!" Tsurai put a hand to his face.

"Isiah, I am sorry. I'll come back later if you feel like talking to such a lowlife." He was referring to himself, of course. With that, Tsurai turned to go.

His eyes went to Tsurai and then to Connor, back and forth before turning to Connor.

"Listen, bud. Whatever you think he did, he didn't. He never killed anyone out of cold blood while he was under my wing, and I don't think you have the right to tell him that he's a ******** just because his family was ********. The reason I was ******** mad at him, buddy, is that he ditched me after I carried him around by his ears for some two bit whore who drugged him and raped him." He felt like he was .. undressing Tsurai for everyone to see, doing this out in the open. As if moving into a brick hut would make much of a difference, but..

"Let's talk about this inside, okay?"
PostPosted: Sat Aug 06, 2005 8:51 pm

Connor's eyes were filled with hatred as he turned to watch Tsurai walk off, watching his back. The kid looked like some mad scientist's project.

His fiery gaze finally tore away and he followed Isiah in the hut. "That's just as bad, if not worse, than killing someone."
Who in their right mind would go with the person who raped them? That made no sense.

Tsurai, by the time he had gotten to Braeden's "house", was so ashamed of himself that he laid on the bed without thinking about the stains. He ignored whatever Braeden said for the most part, and only a minute passed before Tsurai was up again, pacing in the enclosed area like a caged animal.

Kaegan stood midway between where Tsurai had gone, and where Tsurai was, deciding to back out of it.

Isiah grunted, shaking his head back and forth. "He didn''t have control of who he was born to, Connor. And.. I''m not defending his choices. But don''t hate him because he''s a DuPloy. He can''t help that. If you''re gonna hate him.. Hate him cuz he hurt me, okay?"

Braeden began rifling through Tsurai''s dufflebag while Tsurai was pacing- well, not rifling, so much as quietly dragging it toward him to begin rifling. He was hoping Tsurai''s pacing would make him too distracted to notice.

Tsurai was too distracted. He kept pacing. He felt like he should be doing something, and all he could think of doing was to walk around where nobody would see him.
In his bag were two bottles of beer, intended for Isiah, and a meager supply of food.

Connor grimaced. "I hate him for both reasons. I can't see why you wouldn't do the same. All the DuPloys have their little.. Tags put on their kids. It's the tagged ones that do the dirty work, Isiah. I bet that kid's killed more people than you've fought without a second thought. I bet he has beaten people to a pulp more times than you have tattooes, and I know he's given overpriced drugs to people who couldn't pay just so he could off them."

Connor shook his head. "He's bad news. They're always bad news."

Isiah put his hands on his hips, like a soccer mom defending her kid against a ref's bad call.

"To be quite frank, I know him and you don't. And he came from a bad background, I'll give you that, but that's part of why you have to be easy on him, Connor. He went through hell. Sad to say, if it weren't for the fallout, he probably never would have gotten out. And if it weren't for that b***h,"

He said the word with the flourish of that-woman-stole-my-man. "Alex, then he never WOULD have gone back. He ******** me over good, Connor, but that's NOTHING compared to what you're claiming he did, or whatever you THINK he did. He's been through more s**t in the first ten years of his life than we will in our combined lifetimes."

Braeden pulled out the beer immediately, turning them in an attempt to read their faded labels. "Holeee s**t, where'd you get these?" He held them up briefly before setting them down, going through the rest of his food.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 07, 2005 1:19 pm

Connor grimaced. "He's a dog, Isiah, and you know it. If he finds somebody of his own blood, ore related somehow-as I'm sure Alex was- and they said to kill you, I bet he would do it without a second thought. It's just who he is. It's for your own good that Tsurai just.." he threw his arms out, as if he were slicing something. "Dropped dead. It'd be better for all of us."

Tsurai stopped pacing and grabbed the beers from Braeden, "What are you doing?! These aren't YOUR'S!"

Isiah grunted, his countenance dark with anger. "Any human being who was put through what he was would react the same way, Connor. How he is- at least, in that respect- is not his fault."

He didn't want to defend Tsurai but.. he didn't deserve the rap he was getting. Connor didn't know anything about him.

Braeden put the beer back, rolling his eyes. "Nothing. Chill out."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 07, 2005 1:44 pm

Tsurai sat down on the free bunk, hands to his face. "They were for Isiah. I don't know if it's worth it, now.." He muttered.

"Have you gone insane? Of course he can help it! He could've made a concious decision to not do what Alex told him to, he can make a competant decision, now! Let's say, oh, I don't know, his father camer around. Said kill you for some reason or another. Tsurai could kill you, like he would, or he could not kill you.
He's human, sure-albeit a really deranged kind- but he's a monster that doesn't give things a secondthought if he's ordered to do them."

He sat down, hands to his temples. "It's like.. He's a dog of the military, almost. Give him a captain he'll do anything no question, give him a pedestrian he'll be a normal person. It's unsafe to have someone like a two-faced DuPloy simply walking around like this."

"Listen, Connor. I dragged him around all the way from my ******** vault, and he never followed any of MY orders, and I WAS his daddy." He paused. "More or less. Give him a break. He's not gonna kill anybody. Do you think he could take on any denzien here, anyway? I don't."

Isiah wasn't realy sure where he was going anyway. So he decided to stop. "Let's drop it. If you don't like him being around, fine. Ignore him. But he can't help who he was born to."

"He's Irish, kid," Braeden started. "He'd suck your d**k for liquor."
