He carefully pawed at the ground, careful.. careful.. aha! His ears perked, skillfully poping a claw under the worm to pull it out and drop it near the boy. And.. to the next rock! Repeating the process. Two more worms
Next rock, another beetle
Next rock, nothing.

The lions ears perked at a slight russle in the small bush. Crouching to the ground he carefully stalked up to it, quickly bounding into the small plant at the sight of color.
He returned victiorous, a moderate sized bird held high in his mouth before he dropped it near the cub. "There that should be good."

Yakuti smiled, large ears pinned foreward to hear the noises. She was oddly proud of her son, it was one thing to be able to survive in nature, it was another to be able to do that and help others. So many had to sacrifice those around them to keep themselves alive... and that had allways been the way of nature. It'd never even occoured to her to help someone else before she found Wokovu.

He began to eat the food. Swallowing the insects rather quickly, he paused before starting on the bird. Tearing away at the feathers, he happily ate what little meat was on the bird. Feeling sleepy, he looked up at the lion. His eyes half closed as he mumbled his thanks before drifting off to sleep.

((Cute sleepy moments =D))
Wokovu watched happilly. Yawning widely as the cub curled up to sleep. Hm. Sleep didn't sound too bad did it? Carefully and quietly he laid himself down near the cub, just incase it got dark and cold before they awoke the cub wouldn't freeze to death in the night.
His eyes drifted a bitslowly shutting to drift off into a light "catnap" of sorts. Yakuti taking this opportunity to move over and curl into a bundle atop her huge son.

Koho smiled softly at the little one. "I won't hurt you, I promise." As the lioness' eyes looked up once more in search of Jasi other movement caught her eye. This time she would not be so hopeful for prey animals.... Lady luck wasn't that charitable. It appeared to be coming from the scatter of trees on the other side of the drying oasis. With carefully swift movements, just incase it was prey, the golden femme padded the short distance around the body of liquid. Dark and light pelted coats came into view, both obviously feline once again.... But the lighter one looked familiar, and a fennec fox too? It could be none other than Wokovu and his fox mother! "Hey there sleepy heads!" A sudden thought after her outburst reminded Koho that the group may be trying to catch some well needed rest, but it also looked like the darker one had had recent hunting success, and that was what Koho desperately needed at this moment. She was a talented big game hunter, but the small creatures that desert dwellers had to eat were much slipperier to catch....

Wokovu woke with a start, silver eyes narrowing at the female. Giving an instinctive growl... It faded quickly as he reconized her quickly shifting to his feet with a huge cub-like grin. "Koho!"

Yakutis eyes shot open as she was flung off by the sudden movements, landing with a soft thud before she was on her feet in less than a second. She quickly calmed herself, eyeing the lioness.

"It's Koho mum!"

"I can see that.."

Kajji awoke with a start at the yell. Peering about wildly he stared at the figure. His eyes filled with the same uneasiness that was present when he met all new people.

A slight grimace flicked across Koho's face, she should have guessed she would disturb them.... "I'm so sorry Yakuti!" With a quick leap over Wokovu's growing mass she landed next to the fox and licked some of the sandy dust off her coat, "I' weawy was a' assident." It was really difficult talking while grooming a fox.... Being reminded quickly of what was important Koho ceased her efforts, "It's just that food is quite difficult to find around here, and I was hoping the Wokovu could help me with getting enough grub to fill the belly of a very sick lioness...." Amber orbs flitted across the oasis at the diluted white form of Amalthea, "I can't find any grass eaters near by...." Normally perked ears drooped into the body of her fur, she hated not being able to help others....

Without even realizing she did not know everyone around her Koho leaped back over Wokovu and started pacing to Amalthea, then halting part way there and coming back to Wokovu, a worried look in her eye, "Will you help me? I don't know the last time she ate anything.... She has water, nearly the whole puddle, but it can only go so far...."

Yakuti nearly had a heart attack, trying to calm herself with "its a friendly action. she's not eating you." mind over matter, right? She smiled, awkwardly trying to keep herself planted to the ground as the rough tongue tried to rip her from it.

Wokovu blinked, listning to the story. His ears drooped as a rare serious expression came across his face. "That's awful.." he frowned, glancing to the cub. A reassuring nudge was giving to the black ball as his smile returned "Course I'll help. And you, stay with mum, okay? She'll keep you warm at night and fed til I get back."

Yakuti grimanced. No... not again. No more playful lion cubs gnawing her in the middle of the night... A forced smile made its way to her face when her son looked to her. "Ofcourse..."

((this is somewhere aways away from wokovu and all that. cause i wanna keep them seperate for a bit atleast <3 ))

Dih-ji seemed to glide across the dunes as he shifted between being there or being the wind gliding across the sand. He was lost deep in thought, wandering aimlessly to try and clear his head.
The firekin were practically doomed now... Their few suvivor's left. His blessed cub was nearly grown, he'd have to intervien in that sometime, wouldn't he? But there was so much work to be done. Things to offer the dwindling blood of the firekin hope that their clan would not die out.
But how?

(XD Yush. No one must eat teh Hasana. SHE IS YOUTHFUL NYAAA.)

"Uh oh..." Arrogant. Brave. Whichever of the two words you decided to use would fit just as well as the other. Even if she hadn't been either of those two things, there was one other thing she was for sure.

Lost.

It had seemed like the right way to go! ...Sort of. Alright, so curiousity had gotten the best of her, but cubs would be cubs, right? Hopefully, everyone around here would feel the same way. She'd had quite enough of being mistaken for food, thankyouverymuch.

Carefully, she slid her paws along the ground, her walking looking rather awkward to anyone observing. She only prayed no one was. Again, the thought of being eaten popped up. What would her stupid brother do if she was? "This looks like the right way...kind of..."

Kajji nodded slightly. As he continued to eye the stranger wearily. His muscles tense, he backed up until he had increased the distance between them. Scanning the sand around him, his eyes widened. A look of pure fear and astonishment crossed his features before he began to run through the sand. Obviously seeing something that the others could not, weither it was there or just a figment of his dreams had yet to be seen.

The god stopped atop a dune, sniffing the air as his wings flexed. Something new was in the area... His silver eyes locking on it. A zebra? no. Not even close. Anyone who though otherwise, atleast in his mind, was quite stupid. First off it was too small to be such, secondly it walked much different, and third it didn't smell anything like the preyfood.

Though a zebra would have been better than another cub, atleast he coul dhave lead it to the way of his people to feed them. Oh well... He faded into the wind, reappearing behind the cub with a small crunch of sand beneith his large paws. His wings folded to his back, no need to let it be known he was a god just yet. "Young one..." he tilted his head impressive mane shifting silkily, as if the harsh sun had never touched it. "What are you doing out here in the land of the firekin?"

Wokovu blinked, watchign the cub bolt off "Hey wai..." too late. His ears settled back against his head. "I hope he'll be okay." the adolesent worried aloud. He didn't want the cub to die... that'd be awful.
He blinked again.. what if he had done something to offend him? He hoped not.

Yakuti blinked. Oh dear, what if he had taken offence to her look? it really wasn't as bad as she made it out to be. "Don't worry... I'm sure he'll be fine."
