Mikki, awaking from her abrupt sleep, stretched out. That was much more tiring than I expected, she thought. She got up to go down stairs, because who would wake her up other than Princess. As she was on her way to the door, she noticed something glittering in the corner. Well, I see Princess had some fun up here. Why didn't I hear her, though? Mikki climbed down the stairs to find Princess sitting on the couch, face red as a tomato. "Had some fun embellishing my book bag? It is pretty cool, though. What's up?"

"Hmmm? What are you on about? Oh your bookbag? yeah I did have some fun with it. I am glad that you liked what I did with it. I came back down to exclaim that we are so far in 1st place with the House Points. 193 points we have so far! I was really excited that I decided to share it with everyone in the common room.
Have you gone to the quidditch locker rooms yet?"

Carrigan blinked. "Why would I need to warn you?" he asked, but it wasn't really a question so much as a way to fill up the sudden silence. He sighed heavily and sat up, somewhat jerkily as half his body had fallen asleep. Running a hand through his hair, the Ravenclaw stared around the room blearily, one hand still clenching her own in a grip that was probably bordering painful. Finally, he said quietly, "We should probably go down to the Common Room now... get something to eat, or..." he didn't finish his sentence, slowly pulling himself to his feet as he disentangled himself from the sheets.
When he reached the door, he turned back and smiled a little. "Come on."

Mikki grabs her book bag from the dormitory and comes back to the common room, homework a-comin' out. "Astronomy... hope this class is good," she said aloud to herself. She began her work.

"Classes have been going alright. I need to get caught up in transfiguration but good in all my other classes. I am taking 6 this term, I don't know what possesed me to do it though. razz
I will definitely check out your comment in the locker room. I hope Astronomy is a good class myself. I have signed up for it too.
How are classes going for you Mikki?"

"Mikki, that didn't sound very positive. Are you okay with your classes? You know if you want to get a study group together I am more than willing to be a part of it and we could help each other. Speaking of which I was wondering if you would help me expand on my ideas for the Hogwart's Monthly? It would be lots of fun to do something like that as friends, wouldn't it?" Princess is so excited she barely can hold her breath waiting for Mikki's reply.

Miranda pulls over her blankets so they're at least 3 feet above her head. "Lumos," she says quietly. Miranda opens the Defense Against the Dark Arts book that Lonnie gave to her for her birthday and began to read it.

Why would I need to warn you?, the words echoed in her head. It was almost like they were mocking her. She sighed. "Men..", she thought, "I'll never understand them." She really was confused though. Is he teasing me? Does he really not mind it? Wait, if he didn't, wouldn't he have let me kiss him? Maybe I'm overreacting again. He probably just wasn't listening again. "No reason." she said, trying to brush it off.
"He just had to get up, didn't he?" She thought, almost rolling her eyes. But she had to admit, he was right. People would get suspicious if they were up there alone for too long. Reluctantly, she got up and started to follow him down the stairs. Then it hit her. Mikki was never going to let her live this down. Coming down from the boys dormitory with carrigan after they'd been up there for about an hour together. The fact that their faces were probably red as beets didn't help the cause much. "I guess so. I have to do my astronomy homework anyway. But caould you check and make sure nobody's down there first. I think it might get a little awkward if we..." She trailed off. She couldn't help it. She didn't know what else to do. She prayed Carrigan knew what she was talking about.

Princess opened the portrait door and walked into the common room after having a short meeting in regards to the Hogwart's Monthly. She noticed that there was a commotion coming from upstairs, but only saw Carrigan. Her heart skipped a beat and she felt really happy and weird about it. She smiled shyly up at him and walked over to the table to continue her work for the newsletter, hoping to hear Mikki's response to her question soon.

Closing her astronomy book (and finally finished with her homework; it was really long!) Mikki turned to Princess. "I am ok with my classes, I was just engrossed in my work, thats all!" She smiled to make sure Princess believed her. "I'd love to help you with the Hogwarts monthly! I've been planning on writing something for it, too. I just don't know what yet!" She put her book, quil, ink, and parchment into her duct-tapey bag and set it over by the wall. She went over to join Princess at the table.

"All right," Carrigan said agreeably, not noticing Miranda's confusion. He was just oblivious that way. He turned his back to the open door, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet in an almost carefree manner-- but this was Carrigan. Things like that were oddly normal for him, as out of character as the action was. The rocking stopped at Miranda's next words, and all the blood colouring his face drained away like someone had pulled a plug.
He turned wordlessly to peer out into the Common Room and saw Mikki and Princess lounging in the chairs. The latter, older Ravenclaw, was smiling at him, he noticed, which caused him to feel uncomfortable but somewhat pleased. Making friends, maybe? Hopefully.
"Mikki and Princess are down there," he said softly, glancing at Miranda over his shoulder. "What should we do? We can't just... go down..." he mused. "Well, perhaps we could, but..."

[[Hey, Princess and I are in the same year! Although she could be older than me in RL... it's probably not that hard to be.]]
Mikki noticed Carrigan come down, and as he suspiciously turned around quick, she said to Princess, "Well, if you want to follow my advice from before, why don't you say hello instead of just smiling at him?" She winked at Princess.

|| Just a little FYI, I'm probably not going to be here this weekend. We're going camping again. Although I'm pretty sure I could mooch off one of the campers that has wireless.... I don't know. We'll see.||
Miranda debated with herself for a minute. It's not like Mikki doesn;t bug me about it to begin with. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.....Aww, who am I kidding, I know better than that. And what about everyone else? He's the only ravenclaw boy. There's bound to be other girls that like him........Ugh. Why does life have to be so confsing and hard?? "Oh, I give up. Let's just go and hope nobody makes a big deal of it." Miranda wispered to Carrigan. She grabbed onto his hand again, just for a little support, braced herself, and lead him the rest of the way down the stairs.
