The other girl looked worried, which was pretty common, but this was a different kind of look, with something more involved than just general fear. One side of Abbi's smile curled up a little higher as she tried to keep the whole thing from her face, but she knew what Noemi needed at the moment.
"Yeah no, not infected wonky. Very confused wonky." Hey! She was picking up English slang pretty quick! Awesome! "But I'm cool now."

Sure to keep their hands together, Abbi pulled the two of them to the various runes scattered around. She grabbed one and moved it closer to herself before she picked up another one.
"I think we're supposed to like... Match them together? I'm not really sure. I think for now just find two that match and we'll figure things out after that!" A laugh popped out, which felt traitorous given the serious situation, but she was going to distract Noemi and help her feel better, so Abbi allowed herself at least a laugh.
"You OK? Not infected or too spooked or nothin'?"

Tuck returned Herryk to the weapon's totem form, the ring snug around his finger. He watched Heidi leave and glanced over her towards Evan and Stormy before turning his back on the whole lot of them.

He didn't want to ******** around with zombies anymore, so instead he worked on the antivirus. The methodical work kept his thoughts quiet, the level of focus demanding that he pay attention to what he was doing.

Even without understanding what had gone on between them all while he'd been separated from them, Gale could feel the thick wall of tension and emotions between Tuck and Evan and Heidi and Stormy. He glanced from one to the other, his face as inscrutable as always, but there was a slight narrowing of his eyes at Tuck especially, because the expression on the other's face made him feel ill at ease. And Heidi, who Gale wasn't too familiar with, looked as though she'd been slapped, her cheeks red as she stepped away from Tuck.

And then it was just him and Stormy again - and, much to Gale's irritation, Evan.

Gale's free hand reached for Stormy's, sliding his fingers gently, loosely through hers. "There's something happening over there," he said, with a nod of his head towards the left, where clusters of people were bent over, their hands glowing green from whatever substance they were working with. "It's an antivirus, apparently; I heard a few of them talking about it - we should go help."

He gave a little tug on Stormy's hand, but it was up to her whether she wanted to come along. Gale took several steps toward where he'd indicated and picked up the necessary equipment, giving it a careful look, brows drawn together in concentration.

Noemi blinked, and offered Abbi a shy smile. "O...Oh okay..this is good. I am glad you are not infected? or wonky anymore." She hesitated, "Oh yes, that is good, you are cool? do you want my jacket?"

They both started to gather runes, and Noemi hoped the one she brought together would make the anitvirus.

"I am spooked, and weak? Scared. Was very scared." She breathed out, "I had to knock out...Finn and it was scary. And they took Tuck and I wasn't able to help.." Her hands shook on the runes, "I am...no good for field. no good for hunter work." She dropped one and stared at it. "So...sorry. I am sorry."

For a moment, Nellie simply stood there and watched the techs work on giving Zascha the vaccine that would help to control the infection. When they were finally done and moved on to the next of the infected Hunters who were being brought down, she slowly went over to settle on the ground next to Zascha without a word, her hands moving to unwrap her scarf to press against his clawed up side to try to staunch the bleeding some.

It seemed like forever before she finally dared to speak to him. "Is.. is Zascha alright now..?"

There were already special places in Arorangi's heart for both Lydia and Oliver, in spite of their short time together. Lydia, because she was fun and mischievous and somewhat peculiar and wasn't afraid to do what she wanted, even if it was ridiculous. And Oliver, because he was kind and gentle and that sort of thing nowadays was rare, and Arorangi found it endearing. They were his friends, and he cared about them a great deal, so learning that they were both safe and sound, even among the chaos, was endlessly reassuring.

"There are too many people here to be sure of anything," said Arorangi, with a glance around him. "There are many who are acting strangely, so it makes me very glad to see that the two of you are the same as always. It is such a relief," he added, grinning broadly at the pair, which, now that he thought of it, was a rather unorthodox pair - in fact, all three of them together made an unlikely trio of friends, but Arorangi found it rather homey and refreshing.

"We apparently must put these two together," he murmured, partially to himself and partially to the others as he stared down at the things in his hands. Frowning, he tried maneuvering one against the other a different way, but to no avail.

Arorangi fiddled with the pieces, turning them yet again; and with a click they fit together, and he gave a little shout of surprise.

"I got it! Look!"

"HA! No um, no I'm good thanks. You keep your jacket, I bet you're cool too." She was hardly keeping the giggles in at this point. It was just an honest relief to have a disjointed conversation like this after all that crazy that had happened.

The smile faded a moment later as they began to sift through the runes, Abbi beginning to frown as she couldn't find any that seemed to match, not even remotely.
Two runes were held up in the air to better inspect, they might look kinda similar? Her eyebrows moved down to inspect them closer, before they leveled out to look at Noemi and listen to what she had to say.

Both runes were dropped, ignored as they clattered against the floor.
"Heeeyyy!" Abbi cried as she whirled toward Noemi, her now free hands reaching out to clap against her shoulders. "You're a great Hunter! Maybe the battle side of things isn't your forte, but that's ok!' She smiled and gave Noemi's shoulders a gentle squeeze. "You did your best today, but you can't save the day alone. I mean maybe one day you can, but right now we need everyone's help. So don't be sorry!"
One hand left her friend's shoulder to pick up a rune.
"If we get some anti-virus junk together we'll be able to help more! So don't give up yet, ok?"

Discreetly, Nora crept away from the hopefully not quite as zombie as before trio, grabbed Cee's arm, and dragged her away from the mess she had decided to get involved with.

"Oi."

Her face was nudged with a foot.

"You alright yet? You turn your back for just two seconds . . ."
