Fifi dismounted and walked over. "I think these two go together..." she said, reaching for two scraps. They fit! Fifi set them back down, using the pebbles like Anise had.

Katori shuddered as he looked at the blood stained page. "Guess the pokemon got him after all" he muttered, mostly to himself. He picked Danae up and held her close, not wanting her to wander off and pick a fight with something that may or may not have killed a man.
"That'd make a lot of sense" he said to Anise, "puttin' 'em togther i mean, I got this bit from earlier, does it fit any of yours Anise?" he asked then looked down at her bits.
"Hey this bit matches here.... looks inbreeding caused the mutations?" so if that was why.. the answer would be simple. expand the gene pool again but... if it was that easy why was he talking about a cure? ... you couldn't cure inbreeding just like that... could you?
(posting a completed page since Anise has the other half to the part Katori has.. if i'm wrong please forgive me and slap me with a wet magikarp)
The twins had had a hard time keeping up, and it had been all Sperra could do to keep them going with the group and not lose them to the horrible desert. They had struggled onwards, the rest of the group just barely out of sight, or just around the corner. They had been so busy trying to keep their heads above figurative water, that not even Jan was having fun.
"Jan... I swear..." said Delah, as they caught up. She drooped with exhaustion, "I am not...going... on...another adventure. Ever." She collapsed into camp, followed by a concerned Sperra.
"Del, come on, its still fun." they had caught up with the group hadn't they? That counted as still fun in Jab's book.
"How are we related..." mumbled Del into Sperra's fur as she fell into an exhausted half-slumber.
Jan was tired, but not really. He'd missed all these people. He walked over to where Anise was poking at the pages. He'd been very far behind and had missed them being revealed, but now. "Ooo! A puzzle! A story-puzzle!" He frowned at the pages being stitched together. "Wow... I'd never have gotten any of these!" he said, feeling impressed and more than a little stupid.
(Was going to post something but nevermind. I misinterpreted everything.)

Remmy Look at what everyone was doing. He ran around everyone. "Can i help? Can i help?" He ask everyone that pull out a paper. He wanted to help but he didn't have paper so he felt unhelpful. He didn't know what to do but he wanted to help.
Anise looked over at the little boy who was running around asking to help. He seemed very energetic, but energy wouldn't help much here, they needed to think. Not to mention him running around was a little bit distracting. So she suggested, "Why don't you gather up some pebbles we can use to keep the pages weighted down? They're very light and fragile, and I'm afraid they might be blown away in the wind if we're not careful." She pointed to her and Fifi's pages, which had a few pebbles on the corners to keep them in place. "Make sure they're big enough to be a good weight, but not so big that they tear the paper. Something about the size of those would work well. Can you do that?"

He found a spot where other where not standing at and started picking up rocks for the nice lady.

David looked to Seppucrow and then to the group. "But doesn't this seem a little sickeningly eerie to you guys?" he asked. His pidgeotto fluttered down beside him and looked toward David in worry.

Eros slowed as they entered the abandoned campsite. There was very little doubt that this had belonged to the writer of the journal pages they'd been finding.
When he realized that the others were organizing the pages, Eros bustled up with the one he'd been clutching since he'd snatched it up from their own firepit. "Here, this one! This is the first one we found, and I'm certain it's the first in order, as well." He laid his page importantly before the rest, placing a few pebble paperweights with a flourish.
Michelle looked around with a sad frown at the campsite before looking back at the others. Time to fit the pieces together? She moved over to where they had the scraps, looking over them all. "Hey, doesn't this page and this one look like they got together?" She said while pointing to the two pages Katori and Magnolia found. She then shifted them so they were lined up.
(Not sure if I could do this yet but I'll change it if not ^^")

Anise looked over the pieces they'd found. She didn't see any more that looked like they'd fit together, though she wasn't sure if anyone else had pieces to contribute. But one thing stood out as obvious to her.
"It seems pretty clear that the page we found here is the end of the journal," she remarked. She carefully moved it a short distance away from the first page, with enough space between them to line up the other pages in chronological order. She carefully re-weighted it with pebbles to keep it firmly in place while they pondered the rest.
Gepardo looked over the pinned down papers and frowned deeply. "How long was he here? Inbreeding to point of aggression and mutations takes time...it wouldn't take years the way pokemon breed, but it certainly wouldn't take just a couple of weeks..."

Vana peered over at the pieces people were holding, and looked at them for a long time. She wanted to be helpful, she hadn't found a single clue unlike a lot of the others. "It seems like this piece happens a few days before this one" She said uncertainty. It seemed possible after all it seemed like the first price he wasn't happy with the idea of eating pokemon but the latter piece seemed to confirm that he had started to. "Looks like he didn't start off eating pokemon." Vana wondered if they were still missing pieces."What do you guys think?" She asked referring to her idea about the time line. She stood close to Eros, she was starting to get worried, that seemed like a lot of blood on the paper and the pokemon who attacked the guy was most likely still on the lose. The other pokemon had been aggressive but over all they hadn't chased them down and tried to kill them.
Anise read over the pieces again, considering what they said. "Maybe mutation from inbreeding wasn't the answer after all?" she suggested. "The writer does say one one page that they think the pokemon are mutation from inbreeding, but on another they says the pokemon are definitely mutating but they're not sure of the cause. So maybe they found something that render their initial hypothesis of the cause invalid? That doesn't tell us what the problem is, but it does give an idea why there'd be a way to cure it."
