(You're a novice. There is no way in flaming hell you'd be able to beat a superior dragon fighter. Even as an adept, it's just about impossible, lol.
Since they're S ranked, their stats are increased by 1 rank in each for the difference between your ranks.
So...
S> A = 15/12
S> B = 16/13
S> C = 17/14
S>D (you) = 18/15
You'd get annihilated. )

(That'd be more like an A ranked mission. o_o
You can add -a- C-ranked mission to your completed list, but not beating an S-ranked OP dragon fighter. I think perhaps you should edit your post to say you fought something else of worthy prestige. I dunno, maybe an average-to-weak A-ranked monster. It just doesn't make any sense for a novice to be able to beat one of those dragons unless they were quite literally half-dead, and had downs lol.

Hey, you could totally say that it was half-dead and had downs. ;D)

((im not arguing with you here, I figured the same thing but said ******** it, the captain gave me the okay, so its okay. I asked him which dragon I was to fight, and he specifically said the "superior dragon fighter" lol. Who knows, maybe the dragon did have downs... though that technically means Greed just beat up somebody mentally handicapped.xD))

(Sometimes, our beloved Hiro can be a little mentally challenged silly. That's why VC Shane is here as his seeing-eye dog or maybe his helper. ;D
As long as we acknowledge that there was something extremely, seriously wrong with that dragon's physical or mental state, then it makes sense, I guess. o_o
Carry on.)

Shane, remember how we all agreed that a typical C Rank (Adept Rank) mission wasn't a real mission unless some S Ranked monster was in it?
He fought something A or S Ranked.

Wait, was he seriously just going to give her a fang? From his own mouth? The mouth of a vampire?!? This was truly the greatest day of the young Chimera's life. She had found a hopeful teacher, but this little token...this meant he was serious. She wasn't just some cattle to him; she was a true progeny, or at least that's what she thought of it. Excitement overtook the young girl, and before she even though of how she might assimilate the fang into her own DNA, the tooth seemed to liquefy and seep into Exava's hand. A quick surge of pain ripped through her body as her genetic material was rewritten. Instead of loosening her grip on Azazel, she only gripped tighter as her old canines were slowly pushed from her mouth, being replaced with the iconic Vampire fangs. As the pain faded, her grip loosened and her tongue prodded her new teeth. "HA! See? Now we are the same!" she jested at the king. Exava continued to prod her new teeth when the sudden thought hit her...Vampires who turn others often think of their victims as offspring. "Oh my god! You are like my dad now? Cause that'd be sooooooooo cool!"

When Elizabeth had tried to shove into Alistair from behind, he barely budged. It was one thing to say a bunch of annoying things, but his weird friend was actually touching him. This was perhaps the third occasion that the mentally impaired kiranu had touched him, neither of which he had actually enjoyed. When he began to speak once more, a look of apathy seemed to quickly grow on Alistair's face, becoming more and more disinterested as the man spoke. Azazel was obviously one to talk a lot. Well, he didn't exactly find a suitable listener. Perhaps Exava would continue to listen to him since she was totally in love with him. Perhaps only a few seconds after he began talking, Alistair walked away, already bored with the conversation. "The truth is that I have no need to be good at 'this social thing'. My job is to make my army powerful and ready to strike at a moments notice. I do not have time to play friendship. But since neither you or that girl of yours lives in this city, or are even in my militia, neither of you are any of my concern." Seeing that Greed had returned from his mission, Alistair nodded his head in approval. "Good. Now rest up. You're going to need that rest for your Adept Rank mission. It's not going to be easy." With that, the King waved Greed off.

The vampire stared silently, a small grin placed over the corner of his lips. It was apparent that Alistair wouldn't listen; perhaps he was naive. Maybe the position of 'King' just wasn't as dangerous as it used to be. Didn't matter, he didn't find the need to press on that point. He only really said it as a sort of threat, anyhow. He didn't like him insulting Exava, not when Azazel had practically claimed her. "If I joined your little band, then would I be your concern?" This guy was intriguing to him, and he had a strong desire to assist Nocturne. Plus, Exava really had no way of ranking up unless she fell under some nation's banner. It would be convenient for them to declare themselves as loyal to the country. "I'm quite powerful, as I'm sure you know. Stronger than you, actually." Azazel was only taking a wager, but he'd assumed he was right. With Elizabeth, and his own capabilities, the guy was a monster. "My loyalty doesn't cost anything, either. I have an interest in the fate of this nation. I'm the rock on which the city was built." Although the werewolves were the ones doing all of the heavy labor. Oh well though, right? Survival and joy for the fittest.

I know you may have no desire for friends, but I can be your... friend. And I can assist you when I'm needed. Wouldn't things be so much easier if we could cooperate? He preferred to say some things incognito. Telepathy was quite the useful power. As for the whole dad thing... "I have no children," Well, that probably wasn't true. He could feel that he had one, somewhere; an impossibly strong connection. A real progeny. "And I don't intend to have more. I'll be your mentor. Master. That's all." The last children he had betrayed him, anyway. He'd rather treat her like a student than someone to raise and treat with love. Just so her eventual betrayal, which he was sure would come eventually, would be easier to deal with. "What do you think of joining Nocturne, Exava? It'd be very helpful to your studies. I assume this nation has more knowledge on the dark arts than the others combined."

[everyone in the general area hears her thoughts right now...just saying, she has no filter...]

Exava only received half of the conversation. Her mind normally wandered from subject to subject, and her exploring her new abilities wasn't helping much. As her mind wandered, she accidentally, and unknowingly, stumbled across her vampiric powers of telepathy, which she began to publicly broadcast to all present. This idiot king should listen to master. He didn't see the power he has. I dont get why he doesn't just kill him now. We could bring him back as a slave...he's got the body for it, nice tough arms and thick skull. Maybe add a few augmentations on the torso, but then we'd need to strengthen the back...maybe something like a large ape! Ya, remove the flesh from the fingers to simulate claws, this fool would make an excellent tool! Her broadcast stopped, even if only for a moment, as she was adressed by Azazel. "I'l go where you go!" she mused, before broadcasting her thoughts again. Hm, I wonder what kind of things I could learn here. The king seems pretty militaristic. I hope I dont have to learn to use a sword. Fists are for knuckle dragging peasants! I wonder what the people are like here...They seem pretty useful once they're dead. Maybe I can find someone willing to be a fresh subject. I've always wanted to experiment on a live subject. I'm pretty hungry. I wonder if Master will buy me some food...oh, I'm part vampire now! I can drink someone! Her eyes shifted to Greed, then to the King. I wonder if they'd taste good.

In some odd way, Alistair knew what was coming. He almost expected it to happen. Because of this, the nation had two new recruits. If the man was as strong as he and Exava said he was, then Alistair would have no need to train him. So, in a way, they were still of no concern to Alistair at the moment. After hearing Azazel's proposition, Alistair sighed. *Friends are of no importance. I need allies, someone who I can count on. I have no inclination to want to know who you are, as a person. Nor do I care for your feelings, or anyone's in this room. All I care about is how strong you are.* While the training room was devoid of trainees that he had to train, Alistair reached for a book on the shelf next to the wall, but was interrupted by the sound of Exava's voice ringing through his mind. His head slowly turned in her direction, wondering if she actually knew what she was doing. Instead of using telepathy, as she did, Alistair merely spoke outloud. Unintentionally, his voice had grown even colder than previously. The mere mention of being turned into a zombie was enough to set him off. Something that he thought he controlled had nearly been set loose. He turned around completely to face the girl, slowly moving closer as his eyeballs darkened into a pitch black while his pupils remained a bright cyan. "I can guarantee you that I have no intention of being at the whim of another necromancer. You should control yourself before I flay you alive, brat." He sighed and briefly closed his eyes, when he opened them, they were back to normal. Reverted back to their normal state as he calmed down.

Was it really that morbid in her inner-workings? Other than the strange habit of being obsessed with the undead, she seemed like such a sweet girl. Supposed his first impression was more accurate than the later ones. There's no need to kill him, he whispered to Exava's thoughts. He'll be a better help alive. I have leverage on him, anyway. I own his father. It became pretty clear to him that there was something inside of him trying to give him answers. Slowly, these answers leaked into his conscious. He closed his eyes for a moment, a whole world of memories surging into the forefront of his brain. Azrael was the name of the person who brought him back. His connection was with Velox or -- Exitium. Alistair's mentor, the one who changed him. Unfortunately, although he had power over Velox, he had nothing physically binding over Alistair. And I'm not sure if this was intentional, but you seem to be doing the whole telepathy thing wrong. Don't just blurt your thoughts out to all of the vampires nearby. Keep your mind barred, as if you had to hide your thoughts in a closet. It gets easier the more used to it you are. He wasn't really worried about what she blurted out. This guy already knew how ******** up they both were.

"My sweet grandchild," he said, mockingly, "You don't have to worry about me not being strong enough. After all, you might remember that even with a fool at the helm, this body of mine decimated your wise and powerful mentor." He would go further to say that since Velox decimated Alistair, the 'food chain' was quite clear, but... instead, he shifted his focus to Exava. There was no need to poke at the King for any longer. He wasn't important to their progress. Only a means to an end. "It's time to start training, Exava. Necromancer abilities first and foremost. We can also try and help you use that telepathy of yours correctly." There were also elemental techniques, and... scythe abilities? It was hard to figure out where to begin, but they had quite a bit of time.

Greed nodded, thankful for the chance to finally take a short rest. He had been fighting various monsters with little or no chance for break, and had accumulated a few wounds that needed to be healed. After he healed himself, he could go for a shot. Or two. Or three. s**t, the Diabolus might just drink the whole bottle. But first, he needed to heal himself. He sat down and began meditating. As the berserker entered a meditative state, he felt his energy begin to purify his body. Slowly, he felt a cooling sensation begin to wash over him. His deep scratches along his red arm began to close up, as though somebody were stitching it up with invisible sutures. The bruises on his body began to dissapear as well, His tanned skin losing the purple and blue marks spread across his sternum area. As he finished, the Diabolus stood up. He heard the girl's thoughts about drinking his blood, and chuckled to himself, making a light remark that he didn't really care if anybody heard or not. "If anybody tries to taste me in any way, shape, or form... I swear I will break your arms and legs before I make you try to swim in the Great Ocean." He said, not really feeling the need to raise his voice. He was tired as it was, killing another person would probably just drive him to drink even more. Turning on his heel, he strode toward the exit.
