WHO'S GONNA RUN DIS TOWN TONIGHT!?
People who like Avatar don't bother me, not as much as Twilight at least. Its the ones that pretend that it was worthy of that Best Picture nomination. No one else but me saw that this was a ploy to get young people to watch the Oscars, cause we don't...not really at least...Heath Ledger winning best supporting actor for The Joker was the last thing I cared about.
Watching a bunch of crappy films lately.
That one movie...with that dude from 300...The Ugly Truth *that's it* should be proof positive that the romantic comedy is dead. Also that Gerard Butler's Career is at least on really thin ice. Gamer was crap, Law Abiding Citizen was mediocre at best. I didn't even really like 300...I seriously wonder how this dude has a job...

Internet meme's and controversy gave him a job. And people's interest in supposedly extreme comic adaptations.

I would be pissed if anything but Hurt Locker won. It would be 2000 Oscars when Gladiator won, I was pissed.
That dude from Dexter is the only reason to watch that movie. I was screaming SHUT UP every time Ludacris was on the screen.

Gladiator was bullshit. Juaqin Phoenix or however the ******** you spell his name was the biggest shitstain in that movie.
"ARE YOU NOW ENTERTAINED!?" No I'm not actually, for something that best picture worthy its surprisingly cookie cutter.

Best picture is just a sham, people are afraid of endangering their careers by disagreeing with popular movies.

This is true. Which brings our discussion full circle. Awards are...nice, I guess. It doesn't tell me what to like though. It just says a lot of people who get paid to nitpick agreed that this was worthy of something gold plated.
No Country for Old Men IS good. I felt that death...you know the one *choke* and just look blankly while on the floor.
Speaking of movies I saw this new Jackie Chan flick, The Shinjuku Incident. This was surprisingly disappointing and Shocking all at once. Shocking because Jackie is kind of a bad guy in this film. Disappointing because there's no awesome fight scenes.
THERE IS HOWEVER a sex scene. I never thought to myself: "you know what...I'd like to see Jacki Chan get laid." It played as awkward as it sounds. That girl looked like she was humping a Jackie Chan shaped plank of wood.

Jackie Chan is purely comedic, can't imagine him as a villian, or getting laid. NCFOM is super good.

I never would have thought id see a silencer on a shotgun. Its nice to see a Mexican bad guy with morals and codes for once not just a drugged up cocaine fiend looking for the next payday. Jackie Chan eeehhh i think he needs to stop for awhile i mean I havent seen the kung fu kid yet cuz im scared ill lose respect for him

You call it The Kung Fu Kid too!? I claim the first to do that!! Karate and Kung-Fu are two different things, Hollywood!!
Dark Knights Joker is the gold standard for villainy for me. NCFOM imo is up there too. Truly a scary dude.
Jackie has made a nice fight scene lately though. This movie...i think it was called Honey. He fights a real world champion of kick boxing...very epic.

It depends what medium you go by, in movies, Darth Vader, Keyser Soze from Usual Suspects, Max Cady from Cape Fear, Jack Torrance from the Shining, Annie Wilkes from Misery, Hal 9000 from Space Odyssey, Alex from A Clockwork Orange, Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Hannibal Lecter, and of course Joker from both movies.

Jack Nicholus as the Joker, is personally my favorite of the two. He better portrayed his true character, while the Dark Knight Joker tried to seem darker, when he didn't need to. There are so many great movie villains, if you never saw Cape Fear, it is so good. Max Cady hunts down the lawyer that put him in jail and stalks him and slowly tries to take everything away from him, brilliant. All the movies I listed are classics, and the characters, master manipulators, psychos, or twisted in all the wrong ways. Oh yeah, and what they did was that they sold the rights to make a movie.
