I just had a completely random FF7 thought. How do you pronounce "Tifa"? Would it be "Tee-fah" or like, "tiff-uh, like the beginning part of "Tiffany"? I mean, with names like Cloud, Vincent, or Cid, which are pretty common, the pronunciation is pretty easy to tell. i've never heard "Tifa" unless it was in a FF7 discussion among my friends, and we can never seem to agree on its pronunciation. anyone out there want to tackle an odd question like this? question BTW- I personally think it's the "Tee-fah" pronunciation, it just sounds better to me.

BigHotz I guess I should start saving also. I will probably keep this look for a few months. I am hoping that the weapons wont be to expensive. Just incase of um... *cough*temptations*cough* I actually was hoping the weapons would be quite expensive. I spend a lot of time in the GD and we get a lot of n00bs there. I don't like the idea of n00bs running around with weapons and making spam threads about how cool/strong/deadly their weapons are
Though newbies like you would suffer from it, because of n00b stupidity.

It is "Tee-fah". It's most likely pronounced in Japanese, which would result in it being so.
Worst pronouncment possible "Tie-Fah" xp

I pronounce Sephiroth "Sep-hi-roth", as do many of my friends here in Vegas, and to me it sounds like that's how they're saying it in One Winged Angel. But it seems more popular to glue the p and h together and say "Sef-i-roth". Anyone else pronounce it like we do? And Yuffie, too. I say "Yuh-fee", and so does everyone here in Vegas, but elsewhere I've heard it pronounced "Yoo-fee", which I admit would be more correct in Japanese. I realize it doesn't matter who thinks they're right, because whoever's wrong will be proven so the day AC comes out. I just thought I'd get an idea of what pronunciations are more common right now.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's the "Sef-i-roth" it would seem to make more sense, phonetically speaking. as for Yuffie, I belive it goes by "Yoo-fee" because I could've sworn that they pronounced it like that in Kingdom Hearts.

I really don't know where these came from, it's just how we've learned to say it. And what the crap is Yu-gi-oh[? Did I miss something in the strategy guide? It's not in the beastiary.
