Demetri froze and glared at his wife. "Way to kill a mood," he said, hugging Lunora.
Kai resisted the urge to laugh at Hakaru's expression, not because it was funny but because it was cute. She was just glad there was no aversion to the whole mermaid thing. That had been her issue since she'd come on land. Most people didn't like the idea of a fish tail, she'd noticed the first time she'd tried to live in a human town.

"Oh shush you. You know you like kids. Now stop being such a sourpuss, Mr. Kitten." she said, sitting on top of him and kissing his forehead.
Hakaru rested his head on Kai's shoulder, having regained his breath. But he just wanted to hold her and be close to the mermaid. He didn't want the moment to end.

Demetri rolled his eyes and looked up at Lunora. "If we have more children, I vote daughters."
Kai was a little surprised as Hakaru rested against her shoulder, but she didn't move. Since the incident and her leaving the sea, she had been pretty miserable in her own right. But right now, right here, she smiled, hugging Hakaru.

Lunora laughed softly and kissed the wizard sweetly. "Then let's try, shall we?"
Hakaru just relaxed against the mermaid, calming into a very relaxed state. He kept his arms around her, holding her to him before sitting up and smiling tiredly and sheepishly. "I should move before I fall asleep on your shoulder."

Demetri raised his eyebrow and sighed dramatically. "Alright, though I'm sure we're already halfway there," he said jokingly. Kissing Lunora back, he gently rolled her over to her back.
Kai tilted her head at Hakaru and shrugged. "It's fine. I've had an octopus that fell asleep on my head," she said, laughing a little at the memory. "You don't seem all that shy anymore," she pointed out.

Hakaru laughed with her about the octopus. She then brought up his lack of shyness now. He thought some, scratching his head and smiling. "That's interesting. Didn't think it would just go away..."

Hakaru whimpered some, resting his head back on Kai's shoulder. "Please don't make me think about that..." he said, nestling up to the mermaid, hoping for cuddles.
After a bit of walking, Luke sighed. "Apparently your parents don't want to be found.... Why don't you go back to the cabin. It's getting late."

Kai glanced down at Hakaru as he nestled into her shoulder, and she tightened her grip on him and smiled a little. It was strange, she thought, but she didn't mind. She began to comb her fingers through his loose red hair, messing up his braid a bit, but not too much. He's so adorable, she thought to herself with a smile.
Damian nodded, his ears twitching as they caught the smallest, yet most horrifying noise: His mother moaning. "Oh, gross!" he shouted, clapping his hands over his ears. [OOC:] I couldn't resist scarring him for life.

Hakaru's tail swayed happily, feeling Kai run her fingers through his hair. He wrapped his arms around her waist loosely as he nestled against her comfortably.
Luke's ears caught it as well and quickly put his hands over Damian's. "Alright! Time for bed!" he said quickly, guiding Damian swiftly back to his cabin.

Kai watched Hakaru's tail with a smile. Having grown up with only sea creatures, fuzzy tails were strange to her. She smiled as he nestled against her, resting her chin on his shoulder and keeping her arms around his neck. "I must say, I'm glad you're not dead," she said jokingly.
Damian didn't protest, just tried to keep his mind focused on happy things... Like puppies... Chocolate... His parents being old and unable to move... The other people had left the bonfire and were all divided into cabins, playing games and talking. However, the cabin that he'd left Hakaru, Kai, and a sleeping Mina was suspiciously quiet.

Hakaru gave a small yawn, nodding some. "It's a good thing... If I died then... I'd never... gotten to... kiss.... you..." he mumbled, soon asleep cuddled up next to the mermaid. His ears kind of flopped lazily as he fell into a nice thick sleep.

As Hakaru fell asleep, Kai smiled. After the year she'd had, this was a great night for her. Carefully, Kai moved Hakaru to the bed he'd picked earlier, pulling the covers out from under him to tuck him in. She smiled wider and leaned down to kiss his forehead.

Hakaru laid where Kai had tucked him in, sleeping contently. He smiled some as he felt Kai kiss his forehead. His ears twitched a little before flopping against his pillow lazily as he dreamed of great things. One of those being Kai.

[OOC:] Went ahead and skipped to wakey wakey time, if you don't mind. Kai was up right before the sun rose, and she grabbed a jacket from her bag before sneaking out of the cabin as quietly as she could. Which wasn't all too quiet, since she kept tripping in the dark. Finally she made it out and climbed back up the cliff she'd been sitting on the night before. Again, she sat on the edge with her feet hanging over the edge. She watched as the waves crashed against the beach and sighed sadly.
