EpitaphEpitaph fell silent after she finished. Now she just watched the ill Gardevoir closely, trying to figure out where his eyes were leading though she dare not look. She felt like just taking her attention off him would cause something bad to happen. She didn't know what, but the feeling sunk in her stomach and thoughts of why he was here-- or even how continued to flood the Flareon's mind. She was panicked, but kept a calm aura. Her motherhood stained eyes likely begged otherwise. Nothing was easy to hide once you were a mother. What Alfred was thinking had gone right over her head. His feelings likewise though she clearly begged for answers. What was she supposed to do?
Her ears perked attentively when he smiled. They fell in sync as his expression changed.
The entire time the Gardevoir stared off, she sat silent. Watching him... waiting. When he finally looked back at her, Epitaph felt a spark of joy when he looked back at her, but it faded instantly, grave when his expression lost her identity. Something was off. What happened?
"A-Alfred..." The Flareon's voice was almost a squeak. He sounded happy, he looked happy, but it wasn't normal. Then, he changed again. The Flareon's ears lowered. He returned, but, where did he go? Epitaph carefully raised a paw, resting it on the Gardevoir's leg as she stared at him. Her expression likely went fearful, but she didn't know. She wasn't really there, being so panicked. "No. No, don't apologize. It's fine-- you're fine." He probably wasn't. Probably was putting it nicely. "Alfred?" She paused, as if allowing the Gardevoir to process the address. "Alfred, would you like to go back to bed, or stay here?" She couldn't force him. Force would lead to stress, stress would lead to issues. Her own issues became second priority. Sai would be fine, she would be fine, what happened happened and nothing can change that.

 Alfred
Alfred wasn't listening, he heard his name, but didn't react to aside from the faintest flicker of movement from his ears which seemed to be laying permanantly down at this point. The Gardevoir kept his head down his eyes closed as though thinking over her suggestions, but the moment passed and he opened them to stare at the Flareon once more in obvious confusion. Anything she'd just said didn't register. She may very well have not said anything at all. The tears he'd kept at bay steadily streamed down his face but if he even noticed them he didn't move to brush them away. Her earlier words came back then, more specifically the 'go back to bed' part. Sleeping did not appeal to him, sleeping meant nightmares. Horrible, bloody, nightmares that stretched on and on through his throughout the night. No. He didn't want to go to sleep, but...going back inside would be fine. The childish instinct to hide under the covers was very strong. A strangled whimper-like sound escaped him and he nodded rapidly, lifting the heel of his hand to rub at his eyes and wipe away the tears there.

EpitaphEpitaph continued to watch him. He was all about motion-- remember that. He talks through body language... So why is it so confusing? It's so simple. Her panic was interfering with her thought process. It might not have even been the panic alone. She was worried about the Gardevoir and trying to figure him out. This change wasn't helping. The last time she actually spoke to him, Alfred was more or less entirely rational... Yes, things just started going wrong back then. Or so it seemed.
Epitaph felt her heart sink when he nodded. She stood then and poked at the side of his lowered head in gesture that it was time to go. Her head lifted then, looking around... But, how far could he go? He was small, but not small enough for her to carry. Epitaph looked back down at Alfred, her ears weighed down. They'll take however long they need then. "Let's go then, Alfred." She tried smiling, trying to sound upbeat though she crash and burned as she came close to the Gardevoir's side with a shaky voice. She couldn't hold him, but he could use her for support easily. If needed, he could easily walk and keep all his weight on her. She almost wanted to ask where he wanted to go, but going back to Nova was the only option. The Flareon would take any faults. Alfred couldn't handle anything as is. She wouldn't let him take any sort of blame.

 Alfred
One, two...he kept his head lowered even after the Flareon had nudged him. ...three four. He counted meticulously, trying to see if he could time the black outs. That's essentially what they were, he supposed. His memory just blanking out of existence and having to be rewritten repeatedly. He pulled his knees up to his chest, Epitaph all but ignored, and a weary expression crossed his face.
Sleep. There was a time all he could do was sleep. He felt the grey fog of worthlessness cresting in the back of his mind, ready to curl over him again, drag him under again, turn him back into the broken shade he was. He was waiting for his world to change back.
Alfred shook his head to some unspoken question, the shaking carrying down into his shoulders and back, his shallow breath catching. "No," he mumbled, burying his face in his knees.
It's dark with his face down, all he can do is focus on breathing, one shallow breath at a time. The courtyard fades away. Pain has begun eating through his numb state, pain from his ribs and deep inside his chest. If the world has ended, how can he still be breathing? Maybe he should just stop. It hurt too much not to just stop. "Go away!" He said suddenly, voice broken. It was unclear if he was talking to the Flareon of something else entirely. Then just as quickly it was figured out he didn't mean Epitaph as his next action was to throw both arms around the Flareon's neck and hide his face in her silvery mane before dissolving into a sobbing fit.

EpitaphEpitaph remained still for a moment. When Alfred still refused to move, she took a step back and waited. She couldn't expect anything and he had to move at his own pace. She only hoped for progress. Her ears made slow. jerking motions up and down, searching for sound until he finally spoke. Then they just stood for seconds. No? But he was doing horribly out there... They fell then as he went silent again. His crying became more obvious and Epitaph began to feel uneasy. Then, he shouted. The Flareon jumped in alarm, her body ready to jog back, but was instead stopped by Alfred as he clung to her. She stared at the wall before her wide eyed, what just happened? Not like there was an answer for it, but she couldn't help but wonder like time and time before. Her head lowered slightly as her eyes quickly locked back on the Gardevoir. Quiet sobs turned into a full bawl and Epitaph felt her eyes begin to burn, holding back her own need to cry. This was horrible. She didn't even know what to tell him. Epitaph finally took a breath, clearing her mind what little she could before raising a paw to hug Alfred. The other remained on the ground so she wouldn't fall back-- assuming she was holding his weight entirely now. She had to be strong for him though and she needed to act like she knew better because no one else might take the role for him. What type of relationship he had with Tolin was blurry. They were close though, that was good. It was a relief. She smiled weakly, resting her head on his. Just take your time. Epitaph felt her eyes grow weak again. It's sad, isn't it? This is what happens to you when you go too far. It wasn't fair. He didn't deserve it-- he couldn't have. She would wait it out, silent. Alfred didn't want to talk. Alfred couldn't even think clearly enough to talk. He just had to get it out and that was progress enough for her.

 Alfred
The world slowed to a stop, everything seemed to stop shaking and he realized it was because he'd stopped shaking. Warily he lifted his gaze from the silvery blue pillow he'd buried his face in only to recall that, no, it wasn't a a pillow. He wanted to apologize again, but held his tongue as he remembered being told not to apologize before. His grip did not lessen from around the Flareon, though he fortunately had the sense not to choke her or anything dreadful like that. What was he doing outside? His memories faltered, crumbled into pieces and he was left with a sense that he'd missed something important. His face was wet, why was that? The Gardevoir's head started to hurt again, face felt hot. He lowered his head back down on Epitaph's back and in moments all his weight was on the Flareon, though luckily for her he wasn't that heavy, to sigify he'd fallen asleep.

EpitaphEpitaph's head moved quickly as Alfred came to, making eye contact with him for but a moment. Something was wrong though. He looked clueless. Was he there?... Maybe he wasn't. It would answer a lot. She inspected him carefully as he continued to motion about before finally collapsing on her. She responded by lowering her body, confused for but a second before realizing he fell asleep... It was relieving. Epitaph sighed and looked up at the sky. The sun was still strong and bright. He couldn't be out in it for long and any needed heat she could supply easily. As is, she wouldn't be surprised if he were running a fever. He probably was to be so out of it. Epitaph finally squirmed beneath him, getting the small Gardevoir on her back before trotting back close to the wall for shade. She carefully dropped to the ground with Alfred still securely on her and rested her own head on the ground... The first time she met Alfred, she really wish she knew how to teleport. The second real meeting she had with him, she again wish she knew how to teleport. Maybe she should look into that, but for now, he would rest. When he woke up, she'd think of some way to get him back... Now wasn't the time to worry about it.

 Alfred
Alfred shifted, pulling his legs up and out of the sun. The Gardevoir opened and closed his eyes at random, not entirely asleep. There was...a halfway place you could get to where you could drift for hours at a time onthe edge of sleep, but still somewhat aware of the world around you. Not that he was fully aware of it to begin with. It was upsetting. He couldn't remember how he'd gotten here, didn't recall the sudden decision to leave the room earlier, nor the trek out to the courtyard. The confusion met panic and he closed his eyes to try and block the sudden swell of emotions out to no avail. He kept his face down, hiding it in Epitaph's mane for the most part. He didn't want to think at all, he'd sleep if he could ensure that he'd not dream a thing and it'd be comforting blackness that greeted him. Behind closed lids pictures flicked like on a projection, they were broken...he didn't recognize any of it. The pieces didn't fit together no matter how hard he tried to make them. Hell, he still didn't know this Flareon's name. The thought made him feel guilty and he held his breath to smother the sobs that started up. Dammit, he was sick of crying. It was exhausting...

EpitaphEpitaph rested silently as Alfred's chest vibrated with sounds hiccups and sobs above her. This wouldn't do for either of them, but she couldn't walk all the way back with him either. It was a bit stressing and she honestly didn't have the will to. She'd rather just lay here... Have it been anyone but Alfred. He needed medical attention, not... this. The Flareon turned her head off to the side, dragging it along the ground in frustration.
How long do you plan on staying out there?
And she was saved. Epitaph's ears twitched responsively, though the voice merely rang in her head. The Flareon herself couldn't respond, instead, she entered panic and so the Gardevoir caught on. He was silent for a moment though, maybe thinking. She couldn't tell.
I'll get you back to the room, but that's as far as I'm going.
Yes. Yes that was all she needed. The Flareon straightened herself and looked for the voice but he was nowhere to be found... Typical. Alfred was still technically conscious though... He did mention not wanting to encounter the ill Gardevoir too soon but why? ... It didn't matter. The two were teleported without much second thought then, ending up outside the Royal's door. Epitaph gave a heavy sigh of relief. The voice was gone now, it seemed. Her legs below her stiffened in order to keep herself from possibly falling. Alfred was hardly heavy, but she wasn't feeling all that strong.

Singel Uluat❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺A young, coal black Charmander appeared in the Courtyard, trying to find anything worth of value to him or his team. Singel was having a lot of difficulty growing accustomed to the new style of life that the Guild had put him into. He let out a sigh as he continued walking through the garden area, making sure to pick his tail up so that no flowers caught on fire on his account. A quick gust of wind suddenly hit him and the sound of laughter quickly filled his ears. "Will you please stop doing that Uluat? If my flame gets thrown about because of you and burns down the whole garden it will be your fault." He yelled as the sky blue Gligar turned and laughed. "Oh come on buddy. You have got to learn to live a little man. How many Pokemon can say they were allowed to wander the Palace of Eclipse's Courtyard freely like this. Man this is the life!" Uluat proclaimed as he continued doing somersaults in the air. Singel shook his head. It would only be a matter of time before he got dizzy up there and fell on his head.❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺

FangAn odd Raichu lazily wandered into the courtyard, a door far opposite the other two had entered from. Her steps were more even, her ears held high, and her tail waved behind her off the ground. The elder had recovered more or less entirely since the incident with that Eevee, but whenever she flashbacked to it, the thoughts ran through her mind in utter chaos. It made her shudder. It was safe to assume such things wouldn’t leave her be, like many of the others here but it was what it was. Just live for the day and so she did. Fang took a deep breath as she turned the flowered corner of the courtyard and her old, grey eyes quickly locked on the two distant from her, making her stop in her tracks. Her gaze was not one of anger, but mild caution; watching them closely. The Gligar was childish; the Charmander was trying to be settle. They hadn’t been here long, it seemed. She closed her eyes and took a heavy sigh. The Raichu counted to five, compiling composure before approaching slowly. “Hey, be careful out here. We don’t need the place burning down.” The advisor’s tone was stern naturally, though her expression seemed rather laid back. She disconnected from eye contact quickly as she stepped off to the side and sat on the concert side of a flower bed with her head toward the ground. Her eyes rolled up to gaze at the duo before she finally closed her eyes and leaned back. Kids. They were everywhere, weren’t they? At least she learned to drown them out years ago, though she’d never been a mother herself.

Era From the sky up above, a glimmer of light could be seen. It was impossible to tell what it was that was making the gleam because it was so far away, but when the figure drew closer it was hard to believe just what it was. A Pikachu flew above the Courtyard, her golden wings spread wide and a blissful smile on her face. Era had taken to finding quiet places to take a morning flight in when she had the chance; she found it good practice, as well as very refreshing. From her vantage up above, she spotted a pair of Pokemon wander into the Courtyard. They weren't a duo that she had seen before, so she decided to head down and pay them a visit. She dove sharply down, her wings pulling up and beating the wind in order to slow her landing as she got close enough. She landed a bit awkwardly on her feet, struggling to steady herself as she did so. Landings still weren't her strongest suit, but she had gotten a lot better. It caused her to shudder slightly as the Pikachu thought of her first landing; it had been, in short, a mess.
Having landed on the other side of the Courtyard, she cheerfully looked over to the others there, and noted with pleasant surprise that Fang had showed up. The Raichu looked rather peaceful, something that eased Era's uncertainty a bit. The last time they'd been together Fang's eyes had held a look of horror which the Pikachu could never forget. She shook her head; now wasn't the time for such thoughts. Without further ado she walked across the area, a smile on her face. "Good morning!" she greeted the group when she arrived, her wings glimmering slightly in the sunlight, "And who might you two be?"

Singel Uluat❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺Singel looked at the Raichu and Pikachu that suddenly appeared around him and he let out a quick sigh. He checked his positioning, moving away from any low to the ground vegetation and flora. He looked at the Pikachu with a straight face and nodded at her. "The name is Singel, and my buddy up there is named Uluat. Also, be warned Raichu. He tend to get dizzy and if I remember the trajectory from last time correctly, you may want to take a step to your left in a few seconds." He said as the Gligar stopped his aerial show when her heard Singel talking about him. He showed an unamused face as he continued flying. "Yeah that is real nice of you Singel. Thanks for the vote of confidence!" Uluat yelled as he once again began spinning in the air, working off all the energy he had from earlier in the day. Singel just smirked and shook his head with a chuckle. "Anyway, is there something I can do for either of you?" He asked as he suddenly changed his stance from very casual to tall and at attention. He was unsure if either of these two were instructors in the guild, and wanted to show the proper respect to the senior members.❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺

FangFang's ears gave the slightest twitch at the sound of Era's voice. Thank goodness. The Raichu glanced up slowly, her eyes resting on the winged Pikachu. Her head tilted off to the side slightly as she stared at her. "Era... You can fly now?" She seemed pretty good at it so far too. The Pikachu's voice changed from far to near so quickly. Fang was silent upon asking before finally smiling slightly. "It's nice seeing you again." Her expression changed then, neutralized as she looked over at the Charmander as he gave his warning... Her gaze motioned up to the Gligar soon after. Finally she looked at him again. He dare come close and he'd blast him.The radiation flowing through the small Pokemon's body was always on standby. That aside, the warning was seemingly ignored. Finally though, she closed her eyes again, seemingly calm. What did she want, he asks? "Nothing at all." Peace. Quiet. Intelligence. "I'm Fang, advisor of the Roaring Thunder Guild." Her attention drew off back to Era rather quickly and her tail gave a slight wag. At least Era was around. It balanced it out.

Era "Yes," Era said cheerfully, "It's...really amazing. It's been my dream for so long and it's finally come true!" She spun about blissfully, smiling with contentment almost like a child. "I won it at the carnival the Guild was at actually. It turned out that it wasn't so bad after all. Instead of fighting we were able to relax. Everyone needs that chance every now and then." Era would never forget that carnival as long as she lived thanks to her wings. She returned Fang's smile with another of her own, "It's lovely to see you again too."
The Pikachu turned about to smile at the Charmander and Gligar. "It's nice to meet you both, Singel, Uluat, my name's Era as you've heard." Singel's sudden change in attitude made her smile a bit, "No, I'm fine. I'm just the Leader of another Team anyhow, I don't need special treatment." The idea of her getting the respect of someone like Tolin or Tempest made her laugh. "So then, you two are members of a new Team yes? How are you enjoying the Guild?"
