Why would Neb be gothic?
The only reason why I say neb coudlnt' be a kid is because it is if he has no childhood in the first place. Sort of like Batman when turned into a kid to fight Morgan Le Fay's child Mordred in Justice League unlimited.

Well, Neb got his memory wiped after leaving Labrynth. I have told everyoen at least once before that Neb was much different as a child than as a Jedi.
Labrynth's hatred of Neb stemms from Neb's childhood.... in fact his accusations that he was the cause of Labrynth's downfall are not just simple fury, Neb really did have a lot to contribute, and not just from opinioned perspective either. It was deliberate actions.

Neb wanted to join the jedi, but they were unsure of his mental stability. So, to help sway them, he asked for a memory wipe.
He's never looked back since.
