No, I've just checked out their website, and I keep seeing something about member discounts and gift shop gear. But that's pretty cool that you caught their attention o: Have you asked around?

Not with real people and online has conflicting stories of it being a scam and not being a scam.

Hmm, well, whether it's legitimate or not, I would wonder if it would still pay off after paying this membership fee.

It's supposed to help get into places like Harvard or whatever and that's not what I'm even aiming for. I think I'll just ask around my school some more just because I'm curious.

I highly doubt the validity of those claims anyway.

There was this one organization that tried the same thing not too long ago and one of the claims was from a former student from my school. That was pretty weird.

That must have been really bizarre. Did that student confirm that they actually submitted that claim?
I remember there was some sort of biology convention thing that even my teacher recommended me to be able to go on, and then my parents found a news article about how it was basically almost a scam.

No idea, I haven't talked to 'em in a while.
If it was a scam then why did your teacher put you up for it?

I said 'almost' a scam. They did actually offer a low-key convention, but apparently they were hyping up the event into something enormously prestigious that wasn't actually worth the $4000 or what.

eek That's quite a lot to pay for pretty much anything. The most anything of these things wanted was like 1,300.

Yeah, it should have been something freaking amazing, but it wasn't. Like how my friend got to go to Disney World for her marketing class for a week during the school year for under $1000.

That's pretty sweet. But how does she learn anything about marketing at Disney world?
School trips kinda make me regret not playing an instrument because my brother got to go to Italy for a band thing.

They're going to some conference/convention the first couple of days, and then they get to spend the rest of week chilling out at Disney.
Me too, I should have played an instrument that could join the jazz band emotion_facepalm Our jazz band goes on a trip every other year.

The language classes in my school do that. My 9th grade english even arranged a Tale of Two cities trip but I wasn't able to go on it.
Where do your band trips tend to go?

Well, last year went to New Orleans. I think another year they went to Disney World (too).
