A quick laugh passed her lips as her cheeks also began to redden. "Thought so..." At least it woke him up. A smile was spread across her lips. For some reason, she did not regret what she did. Though she did look at her lap, hoping he did not see her reddening cheeks. Why was she blushing at all? He was just her friend.

"Hey... you're looking as red as I am."
Jack laughed loudly as leaned back. He simply stared at Takiko with some amazement. He was wondering what made her do that. He was indeed interested. If only he could think of why she did that.
"Well, no biggie. We're sharing the surprise."

Takiko nodded slowly, still looking down at her legs. Her plan did not work as she wanted it to. Takiko began to re-access her original plan. Takiko thought the kiss would bring out JR. Then she could yell at him or something. Well, mabye she did not really have a plan. But she would have been good at improvising if it did work.

Jack leaned his head in towards Takiko's face. She wasn't looking at him. He was smiling when he leaned his head it.
"Hey Takiko... what are you so nervous about? It was... well, pretty natural. And not that I'm not grateful, but why did you kiss me out of the blue?"

Takiko looked up finally, as if she found her way out of the depths of her thoughts. A smile was on her face. "I just wanted to see what would happen." That was the shortest way she could put it without lying to him. When Takiko smiled, her fangs were visible. It was now clear how much Takiko had changed. Before, she never would have thought about kissing him.

"Hah. Well, something happened."
He smiled back at Takiko as he lied down again. He looked over at her and kept the smile on his face. He hadn't had a kiss like that ion a long time. It felt good to feel a woman's lips again. It made feel like he was actually wanted. As he felt this though, suddenly thoughts entered his head. He could see she wanted to find out earlier how he became the way he did. He was uncomfortable talking to anyone about it... but he was curious about what she thought.
"Takiko... do you really want to know how I got like this?"

"Yes, of course. If we can figure it out, we might be able to reverse the effect somehow." Takiko did not know how they would be able to do it. Mabye talk to one of the elder's about it. Could a tainted mage do it? No, no demon would do anything for her now. They would have to figure that out later.

"Right. About a year ago... well, there was someone around who would force me to drink my own blood after he kicked my a**. That will help explain a couple things. Anyway, I came back here, had a fight with my sister and stormed out. I went for a walk just to get some breather time. It was the middle of the night and I wasn't really thinking. There was a vampire looking around. At first, I thought he was a normal guy, but then he surprised me. He jumped me and tried to drain me. I put up a pretty big fight though. I gave him a good blood and he was bleeding somewhere from the head. Some of his blood... dropped right into my mouth. When that happened, I had this urge... to kill him. I had an adrenaline rush I guess and I overpowered the vamp. In an instant, I drained him dry of all the blood he had. That's pretty much how the curse came about... at least it was a major cause for it."
Jack looked over at Takiko and gave her an indifferent look. He sighed quietly as he placed his hands behind his head and looked up at the ceiling.
"Never got a break then either."

Takiko was thinking for a long time. There was no possible way for him to become human again. The only way to go was if he wanted to become a vampire. Takiko shared her thoughts with him, "You could become a full vampire..." It did not seem like a good idea. All it would do was let JR take control.

"No... I don't want to be a vampire. I just to be as human as possible. I don't want to go around having to kill people to live. I want to protect them."
Jack sighed loudly. He stared at the ceiling for a longer time.
"I've heard different ways to cure the problem. I don't know which one works... I'm willing to try out almost anything at this point."

Takiko decided to lay down next to him. Except she was on her stomache. "Well, cheer up! Your still alive, right? Then that's something to be happy about." Takiko said with a smile. Even if it was a fake smile she tried her best to reassure him everything was okay. That one thought was what kept Takiko moving every day. She's thankful to still be alive.

"Yeah."
Jack thought back to different moments of the past. He wondered if that realy was a good thing. At many points of time, he had done more harm than good. That wasn't exactly reassuring. He grunted silently under his breath.
"It's not really good to be alive when you take another's life," he thought aloud to himself.
It took him a while to realize that he said that.

Even the fake smiled Takiko forced across her lips faded. Her face suddenly became sad as she sup up beside him. Her hands pressed against the bed next to her thighs. "I know..." Takiko said softly. She was not really living, and she knew it. To live, she must take the life of others. Which was something she regretted all the time.

Jack was glad that she didn't ask any more questions about that. He sighed loudly as he rubbed his eyes. He never wanted to be any more of a vampire than he was at the moment. He looked over at Takiko. He could that she was practically thinking the same things. He sat up, still staring at her.
"As long as you're sorry for the wrong actions... you can be forgiven. If not by the people at least by some kind of divine being."

"No one will ever forgive me..." The young, rather depressed vampire spoke in a soft tone. It was clear she had times when she was proud of the lives she took away. The futures she ruined. Along with her own. Forever she will be an outcast. Any vampire that does not know her secret of one being a demon gets along with her for a while. Until the secret is revealed. All the demons hate, despise, some may even loathe her with a passion.
