Wynaro I told this story once before XD In Finder. Me and my best friend joined a Star Wars roleplay and were being Sith invading a city. During this time there were two Jedi making out. After we had murdered most of the city, killing the civilians door by door, we bombarded the city. Only after we had pretty much leveled the entire city did one of the two (who had been posting the entire time) stand up and say the magical lines "I sense a disturbance in the force.." XD I left the rp the next day.. Maybe he meant some other kind of disturbance, like a moth breaching a security gate

Why would one getting the other pregnant get either banned from being Jedi? I'm no Star Wars expert, thankfully, but I don't recall any mention of them getting banned because they have children.

I'm no Star Wars expert, thankfully, but I don't recall any mention of them getting banned because they have children. Jedi aren't supposed to have true relationships like that. That rule is actually the main reason that made me laugh so much. Their too busy breaking the code to know that the Sith just leveled an entire city.

But I suppose it does explain very nicely why they get their butts kicked all the time. Have to wait for things to manifest completely at random in someone, rather than letting it continue through the bloodlines.

Anakin and Amidala knew their love was forbbiden, and because Anakin couldn't control his emotions he was more suceptable to the dark side

I still don't get that. I'm not a hardcore Star Wars fan but I like it and well I can argue why chapters 1-3 were messed up besides the addition of Jarjar.
But was it always like that in the Star Wars world or was it something that was made up after the originals or something they came up with to cause drama for the new movies?

dunno if it was in the original series, the Jedi order had already died by then, but the rule makes a lot of sense.

Not really. If the relationships were not taboo, they wouldn't have anyone turning traitor so they could keep the relationship. On top of that, what little I know about the series points out that the children and grandchildren of Jedi are more likely to develop powers than families that haven't had any Jedi. Besides, even if none of the kids do become Jedi, they would likely still be loyal to them. Helps in recruiting a military force to support the Jedi.
