I guess it varies from class to class and teacher to teacher.

That makes sense, and everyone learns differently.

Yup.
Though I gotta say, I really envy auditory learners.

What do you mean by auditory learners exactly?

Like... I'm a visual learner. I learn best by seeing things, like graphs, tables, images, whatever. I think this is the category most people fall into.
Auditory learners are people who learn best by hearing things.
And then there are kinisthetic learners, who learn best by carrying out physical activities (hands-on stuff).

I didn't think anyone learned just by hearing, don't we learn in all three of the ways?

Yes, we do all use all three, but most people are predominantly one or two out of the three.

Does music fit into auditory?

Only curious. I knew what you were trying to say before you explained it but I just couldn't wrap my head around it for some reason.

Don't worry, that happens to me all the time.
It's like I get it, but I can't precisely define it in my head.

It's infuriating isn't it?
I got hit in the face by a ball in tennis today and it knocked me over.

Especially when people - like teachers - say something like, "Well then, you really don't understand, do you?"
Literally knocked you over? o_o Holy crud, there was some power behind that ball.
Were you okay?
I don't know how many times I've hit myself with a tennis ball. It's actually quite rare that I get hit by a ball someone else hit.
I guess I'm a danger to myself rofl
But it's never been "severe." Nothing gets hurt [except my pride/dignity].

I also hate when they assume you already know it then speed on with their lecture.
Well I remember it hitting me and then I was on the ground.
How do you hit yourself with a tennis ball?

My calc teacher does that all the time. Kind of ticks me off.
Whoa o_o That must have been some crazy force behind that ball, because I've -never- seen a tennis ball hit so hard it could knock you down. Unless you were already somewhat losing your balance/in a precarious position?
I either (1) somehow smack the ball with the frame of the racquet into my face or (2) bounce the ball too hard before I serve and miss it with my racquet, allowing it to slam into my face.
It always provides some sort of comic relief.
