Kumizu came to the springs looking horrible. His clothes were dirty, he had some scrapes on his chest and arms, and it looked like the cane was going to break trying to support his weight. He still managed to laugh. "It must be the song that keeps bringing me back." He started to pause, then stopped. "Um... let's talk through the wall."
Kumizu hobbled into the men's changing room. He got out of his clothes as quickly as he could, grabbing only a towel and his cane. He was never bashful, and he certainly didn't want to waste time struggling with a bathing suit. He went out to the middle spring. It was closer and, again, he didn't care who saw him. Besides, it was empty right now.
As he limped toward the water, his cane slipped out from under him on the edge. He ended up falling, landing on his bad knee. Kumizu couldn't stop himself from screaming out, "DAMN YOU, KAGAHN!" He dragged himself to the spring and literally dropped in. After a minute, he came back to the surface, up to his neck. His eyes were closed and he rested his head against the rocks.

Rake followed Kumizu in but doddled in the changing room a bit longer, he didn't have anything to change into here, so he had no choice but to snag a white towel and tie it around his waist. He wadded his cloths and stuffed them into a square along with his shoes.
He heard a muffled yell, but he couldn't make out what was said...just that it was Kumizu. After he finally found where to go he carefully steped into the hot water.
"Ah, ok this feels good...we should have went straight here and skipped that cruddy belltower." He sat down towel still wrapped around his waist, and relaxed as best he could against the rocks.

Kumizu opened his eyes, and although he tried to appear calm, inside he was still in pain from the fall. "Yeah, we should have skipped it." As he reflected on it, he realized he didn't know where his cane was. He looked around and eventually found it on a nearby rock with his towel. "Alright, well, I'm gonna close my eyes for a bit. If Seiya comes, just wake me up."

"I'll try...If i'm not asleep too..." Rake moved out further in the warm water and submerged himself, then came back up, and pushed his hair out of his face. He didn't feel as selfconcious in front of Kumizu anymore, which was nice. It was like being around his old friends again.
Rake went back to the side of the spring and laied against the rocks, looking up at the sky which was slowly darkening. The sunset was rather beautiful, and he allowed himself to feel a bit sad again, as he thought about his friends Miette and Kamisori.

It wasn't until a little later that Seiya showed up, calmy walking in that 'I have all the time in the world' way of hers she sat down in a chair close to the water.
"Hello, boys." She pulled out a book and began to read, "I got bored."

Rake looked from the sky to Seiya. "Welcome back. Not gonna join us in the water? It feels pretty good..." He has a very relaxed expression on his face, and his hair is all wet and pushed back, and you can see his right eye is orangish...with a slightly lizard look to it. He closes his eyes and rubs his face against the warm stones of the hotsprings.

"Don't push your luck," She didn't rasie her glance from the book she was reading,
"I usually don't even talk to guys beneath me on the social food chain." Once again, her tone refused to reveal whether she was joking or not.
"So, what's with your eye?"

Kumizu stirred when he heard Nasnan's voice. He turned towards her, even though he couldn't see her through the bamboo. He let out a small laugh. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. I didn't expect that we would go... where we went. By the way, I never got your name. Mine is Kumizu."
Kumizu looked over at Seiya when she came in. "Aw, after all we've been through you're feeling self-conscious?" he teased. He was about to reply to her next comment when she mentioned Rake's eye. However, by the time he looked over, Rake already had his eyes closed.

Rake had a slight smile, "We weren't the ones who suggested that old belltower~ Just think we could have went to the playground and had ice cream." He opened his eyes just slightly and turned around.
"I don't usually like to show people this eye..." He opened them all the way. "Most people find it to be sort of...creepy." Rake sank further into the water, nearly to his nose. "But...its just a racial trait I was unlucky enough to get."

"I know how you feel." Seiya said looking sympathetic. "I've got some weird traits of my own."
"Eating ice cream would have ruined my diet."
She grinned, "Besides, I think your eye is kind of cool; being normal is overrated."

"I don't think anyone has ever said it was cool before." He leaned back against the rocks yet again. "I think I'm the only living person in my family with it. The eye is just the beginning of it i'm afraid." He sighed, thinking about all the embarassment it's caused him in the past.
"Not to mention costs me tons of money in cloths..." He frowns, irritated.

Kumizu dipped his head underwater and the shoe splashed next to him. "I don't see you in this pool with us. You must be bashful about something."
Kumizu did keep quiet while they were talking about being normal. He didn't have anything he felt he needed to say at this point. Nothing he would tell these people, anyway. Kumizu smiled. The only person who he'd talk to probably wouldn't come to springs very much. Or the playground. Or the greenhouse.
