"No!" he screamed as he tossed his glass and almost hit Nathan. "I want things to go back to the way they were. Mao loved me until you came along! I want him back now!"

"Hayate, calm down before you get thrown out ok?" Nathan told him, ducking past any swinging arms as he wrapped himself around the drunken man so that he could move Hayate to the door.

"I want to see him! Take me to him right now! Mao! MAO! I'll forgive you if you'll just take me back. I love you!"

Nathan kept them moving, his voice soft. "Mao isn't here, Hayate. I'll get you home, then you can sleep this off, alright?" When they had staggered to the door, someone held it open for them. With a nod of thanks, the Angel took them out into the night.

"If he's not here then take me to him," Hayate demanding reaching for his car as if it were right beside them. "I'm gonna drive. Me. Gimme my car and I'll go tell him myself. You'll see. He won't like you anymore."

"Even if he doesn't like me anymore, you're not driving. Besides which, Mao is sleeping: he needs his sleep." Nathan informed Hayate as he hailed a cab.

"No, you're lying! Mao is here. He's just hiding. You're hiding him. Mao! Mao! Come out! I want to see you!. I'm a hundred billion million times better than this guy." Some girls that were passing by stopped to watch the spectacle. They began to laugh as Hayate uselessly tried to push Nathan away by squirming around and poking him.

Nathan shook his head and gently hauled Hayate into the cab, sitting beside him on the back seat as he gave the cab driver the directions to his own home - his parents wouldn't mind, and he had a lock on his door...

"Let me out!" Hayate screamed trying to open the door. The cab driver didn't bother asking what was wrong since Hayate was obviously drunk.

Nathan held onto Hayate, then thanked the driver when they pulled up outside his parents house. Once there he paid the cabbie and picked Hayate up in his arms. "Let's get you inside. You'll have to have my room..."
((What if Hayate falls asleep on Nathan and Mao comes round to find them like that? =P))

((You love envoking the wrath of poor Mao don't you?))
Hayate had stopped struggling and just let Nathan drag him around.

((Yesss xD You can say no to my plan if you like... Nathan could even climb into bed with Mao at the end of his shift - having left Hayte in his room at home - and mention it when he's half asleep.))
Nathan 'escorted' Hayate to his room and wrapped him up in his bed. "Sleep. You make a row, and I won't forgive you - you'll be thrown out, you got that?" he warned as he moved towards the door to his room, key in hand.

((Up to you. I like it when I make Mao angry too.))
Hayate closed his eyes and tried to sleep.

((Mwahaha!!))
Nathan locked him in, went to work and spent hours serving people. He dodged several hands that seemed to want to touch him inappropriately, then sighed with happiness when he could kick them all out and head over to Mao's.
As he walked, he kept an eye on the shadows for threats or people to help. Fortunately, he saw neither and reached Mao's in record time, using his keys to get in.

By now, Mao was well awake. He sat in the living room smoking a cigarette. The smell of smoke quickly filled the room.
