((Meh, let's just say the mention of the Freeze Ray didn't happen.))

[Enter from Wayne Manor]

Brenda re-entered the Batcave and moved over to Brigade.

"Hey Tin Man, you found the Bat-kid yet?"

"Yes. We have managed to triangulate the 'Younger Bat's' location by latching on to the signal Wayne-Bruce had sent out earlier and using a process of elimination. We have yet to locate Brown-Stephanie, Cain-Cassandra, or Todd-Jason however. We also wish to know what to call you. Our retinal scans identify you as Wayne-Bruce, but you are not him." Brigade said.

"Call me Brenda," the Batwoman said offhandedly, moving over to the Batwave and accessing it. "Now give me this kid's location."

Brigade did this, and on the Batwave an overhead map of Gotham appeared, just like it would in Brenda's universe. Brenda accessed the radio channels and found the one Terry was using. It was secure, and as a result, anyone he may have been near wouldn't be able to hear Brenda speaking to him.

"Why hello there," she said in a falsely-cheery tone. "So, you're that younger Bat I've been hearing about..."

((Okay, so, E's told me that "Bruce" wouldn't actually know of Terry's real name, and he's not in the Batwave, so we'll have to disregard all previous mentions we've made of Terry's identity.))

There was a moment's pause, and then the younger Bat's voice came back over the channel, so quietly that the Batcomputer had to compensate to make it audible. "Let me guess... Batwoman? Fantastic. Let's be sure get acquainted some time that isn't now. If you aren't in immediate danger, clear the channel."

"The channel's secure, nobody can hear me. And you make astute assumptions. I thought you'd be a delinquent or something, but I'd assume that you'll make a good Bat after all with such quick thinking." Brenda said. "So... I'll call you 'Bat-boy' for now. Care to fill me in on what you're doing?"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:21 pm

"Working," was the terse reply, "Batman out." And then the channel went dead. His location's signal was still coming through loud and clear, though; he clearly didn't mind her knowing where he was.

Brenda smirked as she looked at the signal, and rested her chin on the back of one on her hands. Oh, I like this kid... she thought wryly to herself as she brought up another screen, that she saw was linked to the radio signal.

It was a set of vital signs. Linked to this kid's Batsuit, it appeared. Like how her husband's Batsuit was linked to "her" Batwave. The kid's heart rate was up, his adrenaline was spiked a bit... The only time she had gotten like that was when she had been pissed off.

With another keystroke, she contacted Terry again-- or tried to. She couldn't contact him; did he have some sort of override protocol in his suit? Dammit...

What the Hell are you doing, kid...? she thought, staring intently at the screen, her brow furrowed. Then she got an idea: If this kid's suit was connected to the Batwave, then she should be able to get a live feed from his-- Oh Goddammit, he turned that off, too?! Jeez, this kid was smart... A lot smarter than she had initially thought. She didn't like being kept in the dark on this kind of thing, but she felt her respect for this kid rise nonetheless. She just hoped that whatever he was doing wouldn't wind up getting him killed due to not having someone to help him.

She sighed, and turned her attention to the Watchtower-- signals of intrusion were there... as well as evidence of some one or something hacking the JLA databases.

Ohhh, no. Oh, no no no no no. That wasn't possible. Shouldn't have been possible. She-- Or rather, the Bruce everyone here knew-- had designed those security systems within the databases... And she figured they were more or less the same as in her universe. So far as she knew, nobody could get in them through hacking... and yet, someone already had. What the Hell...? She'd need to work with Bruce on updating them even further, if possible.

Now feeling quite irritated, she proceeded to go through more of the personnel files in the Batwave. The Rogues she knew were all there. Richard... Tim... Jason Todd-- that name Brigade had mentioned. Who was that? The "second Robin" Tim had told her about? Yeah, the file confirmed that. Wait, the Joker had... killed him, and he was brought back?! Yikes... Tim may have glossed the details over, but actually reading about it... Anyway, moving on... Damian Wayne; the boy she had seen earlier... Jean-Paul Valley? Didn't know him. Barbara Gordon, formerly Batgirl, now known as "Oracle"... Oh wow, the Joker shot and paralyzed her? b*****d...

Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown... But... Where was this kid? This so-called "Batman" who was so pissy? She couldn't find him, so he must not have been on-file. Dammit, if only she could contact him...

The transcending, unshakable whiteness filled his vision in an instant, and kept him blinded. It sounded. And loud. But quiet, too. Like a ringing that goes away the more you try to think about it, and then comes right back. Castle couldn't tell if he had landed right on the ground, or if he had fallen; but he was pissed, and he knew that for a fact. Holding his head with one hand, he found the purchase of a table to balance himself out. It was... dark now. Or maybe he was just blind. That certainly wouldn't calm him down.

His fist slammed into the table, anger and confusion swirled in his mind. His gaze shot around the room. Computers, gadgets, lights, and nothing to let him know here the f*ck he was or where he had been! Suddenly something occurred to the Punisher; there was another presence in the cave... or whatever. He reached quickly under his trench-coat and pulled off two of his side-arms.

His fingers rested right on the triggers and he jumped right onto the table he hand slammed. Leaping from the edge closest to... whoever... he shouted. "WHERE DID YOU TAKE ME FROM!!!???" Castle yelled, landing right behind the chair where he could see the person sitting. "AND WHERE THE HELL AM I!!??" The hammers of his pistols clicked back.

Brenda had heard the sounds of someone falling and clamoring about, and she glanced in his direction. Someone new. Not good. And by his body language, he was angry. She was about to answer when he started shouting, and then she heard the sound of guns being cocked. Oh, that did it...

She stood up from the chair and whirled around, looking the guy over. Trench coat, black tee with a huge skull... Had she read this psycho's file yet? Probably not as she'd have remembered it. She said not a word, just glared at the man fearlessly.

"Right now, you're in the presence of a very irritated woman..." she said, moving over to one of the tables and stealthily picking up two Batarangs from it.

"And I don't like guns." she said, and she launched both Batarangs with unerring precision at the man's pistols before he could fire.

The woman's words irritated Frank further, but he full-on snarled as soon as the strange boomerangs knocked the weapons from his hands. Without skipping a beat, Castle charged the woman; aiming his shoulder directly for her ribcage for a crushing tackle. As he contacted her chest, he pushed forward, toppling the table behind her, and landing both of them on the ground.

Once the woman was under him, his mind internally complimenting him on the fact that the crude tackle had actually worked, he pulled his right arm back for a swing.

Brenda grunted as she was bowled over, but she quickly recovered. She caught the man's punch, and said coldly: "I allowed the tackle. You're not punching me."

With that, she headbutted him once, twice, three times, and once he was off of her she rolled to her feet, sending a debilitating palm strike to the man's solar plexus, and then an uppercut-palm strike to his jaw, laying him out on the ground after he was sent up into the air.

"Okay, man... I can see you're confused. I was too when I first arrived. If you don't mind, I'd like you to sit down, shut up, and I'll tell you about what's happened. Now..." She helped him to his feet. "If you wouldn't mind calming down, I can actually play a good houseguest while you're here. Had a bunch of people coming through earlier; I was one of them, even though... Ah, never mind. Are you willing to listen, at least?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2012 8:18 pm

Wherever those strikes had come from, Frank was still too fuzzy in the head to defend himself. He got himself laid out like a school-kid... by a woman. Albeit, this woman was obviously highly skilled, but still. He sat up slowly, rubbing his jaw and growling internally. But what did this chick mean? When she first arrived? Some serious sh*t was going on, that much was for sure.

"Fine..." Castle growled, slowly picking himself up. He'd remember this woman. Her face. This whole damn cave. All of it. He'd be back. "What the hell is going on here? I don't... I don't remember anything..."

"Okay, brace yourself, because this is going to be a doozy. Apparently, a god-like being has cobbled together two universes and has thrown in people from each into the mix, sort of like a cosmic jigsaw puzzle. I'm one of them, as are you. I've never seen you before and I assume my counterpart from one of those two main universes hasn't either. So, I was looking through files on some others... What's your name? I don't think I've seen yours yet; it's all on that huge computer. Well, not all of it, but as much as people have gathered and put into it." Brenda said to Frank, before moving back to the Batwave and looking through files on the "Marvel" universe's heroes and villains.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2012 8:34 pm

Frank stood and cocked his head at the woman as she returned to her seat. "Lady, I hope you realize how f*cking ridiculous that sounds... universes merging? This is not what I was hoping for today..." He moved to beside the chair she was sitting in, but kept his guard up, not relaxing in the slightest. "Castle. My name is Frank Castle." His voice held spite, as though he was divulging nuclear secrets. While not sure of much at that time, he was damn sure he wasn't trusting this or any manner of female city-ninja.

"Frank Castle, Frank Castle..." Brenda muttered, scrolling through the files. "Ah, here you are. Oooh, 'Punisher'... How scary," she said with a light smile. "Hmm... Well, you're not the only person who lost people you loved to criminals. My parents were killed right in front of me when I was eight years old, by a cheap thug."

She turned back to face him. "And yeah, this seems pretty damned ridiculous, but I was punted into this mess about an hour and a half ago, met my male counterpart and his apprentices, and some other people too. I'm still trying to wrap my head around all this, so you're not the only confused one. And my name's Brenda, by the way. I'd tell you my last name, but I don't trust you enough for that. Not that it really matters, since this... It's not my universe."
