Kasen stood there as he was apparently insulted. "Cocky bugger, when have I ever been such a thing?" Kasen asked as he spun his blade in his hand as he waited. Kasen heard Reikai's warning of his blade, while Nexo had told them of his arrow ability. "Well, I guess I shall get the ball rolling on this one." Kasen said as he raised his blade and slashed downward in an arced movement as it moved around his body.
Kasen held the blade back by his side, however he was now on the move towards a single target, Reikai. Turning his blade around so it was held in the opposite direction, Kasen held his blade in a reverse grip to complete his plan. Kasen suddenly dropped to the ground sliding under Reikai, however he held his blade out to slice off her left left as he slid.

Trusting in Reikai's ability to dodge or block such an unsubtle and easy to counter attack, Maikeru threw the heavy dagger, leading, so that when it struck it would be where Kasen IS, not where he WAS. Being such a heavy dagger, and not meant for throwing, it wasn't the prettiest throw in the world, however, at this short range it could easily cause major damage going at that speed with that much weight behind it. Maikeru had aimed for Kasen's kidney's. However the weight distribution in the dagger through the throw off slightly so it went slightly to the right, heading straight for Kasen's hip.
As soon as he threw the dagger he was sprinting at top speed, following right behind it, his sword arm drawn across his body, his Zanpacto still in the reverse grip, similar to Kasen's current grip. Just before he reached Kasen, Maikeru used his current momentum and speed, to help him jump up and forwards, coming down so that the tip of Maikeru's Zanpacto is aiming for the base of Kasen's neck, with a quick and strong backhand motion, Maikeru stabbed.

Reikai reacted quickly, flipping over Kasen, being ever so careful to avoid the blade while she cleared his attack. Or so she thought. The very tip of the glowing red sword cut her left sleeve and she landed on the other side of Kasen a tad unsteady. The cut sleeve revealed her bracelet that was glowing a little, but no one seemed to notice. They were more focused on the task at hand. She took out the explosive card and flung it at Kasen.

Nexo decided to strike quickly once Kasen made his move as he released the reiatsu in his finger immediately. "Hadou #4, Byakurai." Nexo chanted as the attack unleashed its potential power as a the reiatsu became reiryoku in action as the charged power became a burst of white lightning. The lightning surged towards Kasen as Reikai and Maikeru made their moves.

Kasen slashed downward at the dagger which came at him, creating sparks as Kasen never felt such a heavy blade thrown before at him. Kasen brought his reversed gripped blade at Maikeru as he pivoted his feet to block the stabbing which struck the side of the blade, however Kasen had more problems to worry. Reikai had moved behind him and had thrown the card at Kasen while Nexo had chanted a kido at him. Cursing in his mind, Kasen had no time to choose as he unsheathed his zanpakuto and sliced at the kido as he took the card full on using Maikeru to take the pain with him.

Hunh what do you know, teamwork has its advantages afterall.
well this is going to hurt Maikeru thought when he saw Kasen block the Kido but let the card explode in close proximity.
Luckily the force of his own stab and Kasen's block had sent Maikeru moving back up a couple of feet, he would still be caught in the blast, but only the fringe of it would catch him instead of the epicenter of the blast.
Maikeru flew strait up into the air, a combination of Kasen's block and the explosion sending him far higher than he had anticipated. He managed to control his fall and looked directly down as the smoke began to clear. I really hate Kido but if this works...
"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat! Bakudo #9 Horin!"
A tendril shot down into the smoke just as it cleared. Maikeru was ready to redirect it if Kasen had been moved by the explosion to much, but Shinigami always had a tendency to try and stand in the middle of explosions While they happen.

Reikai grinned as the card made contact and felt even more relieved as she saw Maikeru only caught the edges of the explosion and not the full blast. "Well now that he's alright..." She muttered and held out her own hands. Just in case Kasen was able to break out of the first one, she would cast the second.

Nexo held out his hand as he saw Maikeru escaped from the explosion well, however he heard a Kido incantation and waited as he gathered reaitsu into his hand in case of needing a third Kido to help his group stop Kasen.

Kasen roared as he threw a Queen of Hearts card at the kidō as he saw a rope of reiatsu coming at him which would blow away the kidō rope. Kasen was in the smoke of the flames still as he decided he was going to need more power. "Evil-taicho, help me.." Kasen thought as his eyes glowed dark green while his canine teeth became larger as his body began its change. His hands grew larger as his nails became claws, his feet became bipedal paws, his body disappeared below a sea of green and black fur as he transformed. A tail sprung out as Kasen was now completely transformed, his werewolf state was now ready as he sniffed out the closest target and opened his jaws. Kasen slammed his mouth down one what seemed to be Reikai's arm area, however he didn't know what it exactly was, except that it had the smell of Reikai, and flesh.

Maikeru heard the roar and cringed as he started falling back to earth, he caught a glimpse of some fur and claws and put two and two together.
Werewolf?? S***
As his descent quickened he streamlined his body causing his descent to speed up even more, as always he had another dagger ready, this one was made of silver.
Heh heh heh, I doubt it'll work but it's worth a try right?
he thought to himself as he neared his target, dropping the weighted dagger so only the speed and momentum of his fall would propel it, it would easily still be enough to puncture him deeply aimed as it was to stab the back of the base of his neck.
Right as he hit the ground he caught site of something in Kasen's jaws, Damn, she better be okay, if she's not I'll skin him and use the pelt as a St. Patricks day rug!
Maikeru was pissed, he went for a cheap shot and swung his sword like it was a cleaver strait for the base of Kasen's tail.

Reikai could only yelp as the wolf form Kasen snapped his muzzle where her arm had been a second ago, but his teeth managed to snag a lot of skin and the sleeve. She wrapped her free arm around his neck, gritting her teeth as she directed her fingers at his back. "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo #9 Geki!" She yelled and pointed at Kasen.

Nexo raised his palm as he heard the sound of growling which made him wonder what the heck was happening in that smoke and explosion of theirs that had yet to subside. Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat! Bakudo #9 Horin!" A rope of reiatsu shot out towards the large figure hoping that he would catch Kasen.

Kasen rotated his body as he slashed the dagger downward to bring the heavy dagger to the ground as he used its momentum against it. However Kasen heard chanting as he sidestepped the strike where he was and where his tail was a moment ago. Kasen changed back to his human form immediately as he chanted quickly as the smoke disappeared making Kasen point his palm at Reikai for a moment. "Hadō #1, Shō!" Kasen chanted as he pushed Reikai with a burst of reiatsu to stop her kidō from halting him. However the barrage continued as Kasen looked at Nexo who had chanted Bakudō #9, however he was using the other Bakudō making him release a rope of reiatsu which was familiar. Kasen threw a Jack of Diamonds to counter the kidō, however he was caught by the kidō as the card flew off trying to destroy the connection between him and Nexo.

Maikeru barely batted an eyelash when Kasen countered both of his and Reikai's strikes, he hit the ground rolling in the same direction Kasen had sidestepped. He ended in a low, crouched postion directly behind and perpendicular to Kasen making a normal strike inplausible.
"See now I'm curious, was it the silver that scared you? Or just a large knife?" Maikeru panted right before he jabbed the dagger-length blade attached to the end of his Zanpacto's hilt at Kasen's back ready to twist it cruelly and painfully if it connected.
Hmmm the Bakudo combined with whatever Reikai's about to pull and my own position should make this almost impossible to dodge or block, of course if he does, I have no way of defending myself against a counter-strike, well here's to praying.

Reikai landed unsteadily and gripped her bleeding arm. Still, she ignored the pain that the wounds on her arm shot through her and raised her arms again. "Bakudo # 4 Hainawa!" She sent the yellow kido at Kasen.
