I had the quad laser cannons on the dorsal side, but I'm still worried about a torpedo or missile coming in from the ventral direction. Thats kinda why I was thinking a flak gun or PDLS would be nice down there.

We're a freighter. Not a battleship. If we want more guns, we'll have to earn enough money to buy those guns. As it stands major sacrifices in armaments had to be made to comply with Imperial and BoSS regulations, as well as to be able to afford to keep flying. We're naturally going to have some weakspots. We can only hope our Pilot can maneuver us sufficiently to protect those weakspots.

Right then. Moving on.
It seems that Ive aquired a ship that, for the most part, people seem satisfied with. Now I just have to compose some deckplans to map out the interior. Oh, and Stellar, i'll need a width estimate.

60 meters wide. Here's what I've got so far: Quote: Ruusan modified Mandal Hypernautics Akaan’kad-class Corvette Speed: Cruising (4 Squares an Action) Maneuverability: Poor (+1) Shielding: 210 (DR 40) Armor: 340 (DR 40) Hyperdrive: 2x Life Support: Yes (Capable of comfortably accommodating up to four hundred beings) Cargo Capacity: 2,000 mT Weaponry: 1 Class-7 Ion Turret, 2 Quad Type-6 Laser Turrets, 6 Tractor Beams Normally a weapon of war or a guardian of convoys, the Akaan’kad-class corvette was designed as a Mandalorian missile ship that could engage much larger enemy vessels and have a chance at victory thanks to banks of concussion missile tubes and hardpoint mounted capital ship grade proton torpedoes augmented by quad turbolasers and laser cannons. To designate targets for all those weapons the ship is fitted with multiple sensor systems, a missile targeting boom and a sensor globe capable of detecting targets at ranges equal to those of an imperial line ship. The Ruusan kept the sensor benefits of her history when she was converted for the more peaceful duty of making money. The capital ship torpedo racks have been replaced by docking systems for up to two class-A containers and an external rack for starfighters. Six of the laser turrets have been replaced with tractor beams to speed up the process of loading and unloading cargoes in space. A probe droid launch bay is nestled in the ship, and the large munition storage bays have been converted to cargo bays. Finally the dorsal turret has been removed and the ventral turret replaced with a ion cannon. Comments? Changes?

Its overpowered, badly named, you completely ignored my idea of it not being a Mandalorian ship, and you also did not take into account whatever other modifications I had planned. Appreicate the help, Stellar, but I think I can take it from here.

k, maybe Rendili StarDrive would make more sense. Not many people save Kuat and those that steal from Kuat use sensor globes.

What about Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc? Not every ship has to be KDY, CEC or MandalMotors.

Well to me, the bridge design looks like KDY or Rendili. Plus they're the only guys that pop into my mind that have used a sensor boom or sensor globe.
Course there might be some other one I've never heard off. Star Wars is such a vast place to try and understand.

Yes. The Free Dac Volunteers. The Mechanical arm of the Quarren Separatists. They had workshops on Pammant and Mintooine, where the cooperated with the Techno union and Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. . I think the Ruusan was born on Mintooine.

Also, we can fit five droid fighters, one fighter 20m in diameter, or a similar sized drop shuttle in the ship. Plus 100 metric tons of smuggling holds that were not deducted from the main cargo hold thus decreasing the likelyhood that it will be discovered. ninja
