so, ancient rome...it's not like home...
and I actually didn't mean for that to rhyme.
And Solon. Except he was Greek. In Athens. Around, oh, I think about 500 B.C. Now I know who he was.
And to think I had the test today...
In any case, I'm nearly done with that essay, and there was a reason study halls were invented. So I have returned.

so far, the reading on rome emphasizes that they''re kinda like greece...
and for precal, i found a site with the federal debt on it. it goes up about a billion dollars a day, so I can put $8 trillion on the graph because that''ll be the federal debt sometime tonight or tomorrow and it''s a nice round number.
and the greece-mesopotamia essay is not working out to be 2 pages. It was a stretch to get it to One Whole Page. Ouch.

(randomness of the hour: ninja ninja ninja pirate pirate pirate )
For all those interested, I just finished my 2-page essay by doing things like replacing "food" with "edible material." (Hopefully the first essay gets graded kindly.)
And I'll finish the history reading and the precal tomorrow morning.
And life is fairly normal over here when I do things like that.
*runs off to add conclusion paragraph to essay*

I have now completely given up on ever finishing any homework. mrgreen (Giving 40 problems that take 3 minutes each as one night''s homework for one math class should be illegal. I refuse to spend 3 hours on math homework. Well, actually, I did. But that was the last time, I tell you!)
Just got on to say hello and reaffirm my existence. (Occasionally, people will ask me if I''ve died because I''m "never" online. So, in case you were wondering, I''m still alive. pirate ninja )
A word of warning for later: if I stop logging on frequently, it''s because my history/english/precal/(insert subject here) teacher is a) evil incarnate, b) Satan, c) cold and unfeeling, d) demonic or e) giving us a lot of homework that''s all due tomorrow. (It happens more often that I think.) (By the way, the above list of choices are complaints frequently made at my school. Especially about math teachers. Don''t know what it is about math.)
...Wow, I rambled. This post was going to be a few sentences...guess not anymore. (Must contain urge to ramble more...)
OK, I''m going to rescue you all from my rambling and end this post before it gets big enough to eat Tokyo. cool I shall return later.

That's funny, because I loved The Brothers Grimm.
(Keep in mind that I like movies other people don't generally like. I prefer character over plot. And I love Brazil, and practically no one even knows what that is, even though it's only about 10 years old. I just like weird movies. And Lawrence of Arabia, which no one I've ever met under the age of 35 even knows what it is.)
The point I was trying to make was, I liked The Brothers Grimm because it was really weird and strange. Even though the plot was sort of "ok, whatever," I thought the characters were (for the most part) developed enough that I liked the movie. Plus, it got bonus points for being "out there."
These were enough bonus points to cancel out the end, which disappointed me. (I mean, is it just me, or is that a cheap ending?)

Ya I go by story alot more then anything else. although bad acting can kill anything. One movie i was dissapointed in, not because of the constant gay stuff cause that doesnt bother me, but cause they built it up as some epic movie, was Alexander, its soo lacking! I was expecting something like Braveheart, Gladiator, or LOTR! even Troy was lacking.. i cant seem to watch it again.. i find it boaring 3nodding

I live in the land of "we don't speak of Troy."
See, when the movie came out, we had just finished reading the Iliad, and we'd heard that they were making a movie of it. The Iliad's a really good book, so we were really excited. And then the movie was nothing at all like the Iliad.
We also read the Odessey, and because of all the people they killed off who lived through the Iliad, if there was a sequel to Troy it would be "The Odessey: with a cameo by Odysseus!" The idea of that was incredibly amusing.
Back to the topic of good...does anyone know when Howl's Moving Castle comes out on DVD? I heard it was good but it was only in theaters here while I was out of town...

He he he... I'm back (for maybe two minutes) and you sound like my evil twin or something. Yay... I exist... and I also have math/history/bio/english/latin/chinese/writting/whatever/whatever/whatever homework and I'm not really sure when I'm every going to be online again. As for math homework... 40 problems each with 3 minutes is fairly okay... try getting a grade on four problems that take an hour or more each... torture, utter and complete torture. Therfore, I am now rambling online instead of finding limits, derivates, and intergrals of random thingies. Okay... rambling too much. *Sigh*... it's addictive.

Hmmm.. Odyssey. I remember that. Odysseus/Ulysseus has a cool dog named argo who totally confused me because while I was translating that part I kept thinking he was talking about the ship in Jason and the Argonauts.

Troy was lacking.. they went epic in some movies of late and fell short. The Brothers Grimm is good, and I hear a certian male member has the hots for a brother in 4 brothers >_<
