Corbin DeSeer Vice Captain

Midian only grinned with his blackened lips cracking and splitting before vanishing, leaving him with a lippless maw of carnivouress teeth that stretched back past his ears. This however was still concieled by the bandana wrapped around his face.
As Quint vanished into the ground, he knew what would follow, it was instinct, though he had no option in the matter. He could see. Soul sight, Aura perception, Gleam of red eyes, Clairvoyance, Eagle's sight, Melange and soul scan, among other visually attributed disciplines were in constant effect through the eyes of the ortus. They saw all, and so Midian saw nothing less. He had been stabbed in the back once. Never again.
"Vicissitude Fourth ring. Degeneration."
This spoken, Midian stood still, and waited.
Scenario 1
Providing Quint went ahead with his assault, Midian would take the hit to his 'ribcage', though Quint was in for a shock. Corbin didn't have a ribcage, instead, he hid beneath his scales a solid mass suit of Keratin armor, or atleast that was the closest kine known material. More like marble, to be exact. Bones were made up from calcium, and depending on its compressed state, could be frail as wafer, or tough as marble. Marble was after all, a substance morphed from Calcite. Calcite, was Calcium carbonate. Sea shells, snail shells and eggs. Guess which end of the scale Midian decided to reach for.
This alone would prove a sufficient enough defense, however Corbin never was one to settle for being simply..Sufficient. Midian sported the similiar attributes to Corbin, however alone with a solid mass skeleton of marble like material, his scales on the outside were the same!
Quint would be lucky not to shatter his knee cap on the seven foot monster's side. That was far from the end of his defenses however. Degeneration was an advanced discipline art under Vicissitude which gave the Cainite the uncanny ability, to destroy chromosomes in a target. Genetic building blocks of form and life, even unlife. If Quint hit Corbin's scales with even leather, they would slice through it in an over exhaggerated manner like the 'skin' of a shark. He might narrowly avoid having his knee slashed by the scales, but contact would be made. However if there was armor over the knee, that would be dented, but possibly not cut through completely, Midian would whip his tail up at Quint from behind to make the contact.
However contact was made, whether it be Quint's knee/leg, or somewhere else, Chromosomes would be destroyed.
Depending on the severity of the contact, Quint would immediately feel fluxuations in his heart, whether it be dead already like a Cainite's, or not. His vision would blur, senses tremble in confusion and pain would hit his entire body like a frieght train. The rest, would be gradual, but would happen eventually. The heart fails, and the brain goes catatonic. Eventually Quint's bones will crumble, his organs will shrivel, and his flesh will melt away, leaving only a puddle of waste that resembles a melted candle. This, was not an illusion.
Now, due to the weight of Midian's body, it being comprized of a conciderable amount of Marble, among other still hidden features, Quint's attack would be like a tennis ball playing chicken with a moving car, he wouldn't so much as shudder against the force.
Corbin's specialties were the mind, and anatomy. As a master of anatomy, he mastered both defensive, and offensive. Strength and will power. He was a wall. He was Roan's weapon of choice, her heir..Her perfect monster. Midian however the monster let free in this form.
Something maybe not Roan, and possibly not even Ice would know, was that Degeneration was an art, that could only be used in Frenzy. This would give them, if they knew to notice, a key feature of Midian Vs Corbin. They were both VERY different beings.
Scenario 2
Should Quint decide that a full frontal assault was a bad idea, and instead move away from Midian, and evade the Degeneration, Midian would Rip drop the fan into his left hand and with his right, as the Rune for Tyr lit up on his left hand, rip the bandana away, revealing the two excessively scaled and vicious looking serpents heads that rested on either side of his neck. One crimson, one obsidian. The pair of serpents then launched from Midian's neck, their marble scaled bodies emmerging from the monsters neck endlessly, apparently without a restricted length as they weaved with such gravity defying agility through the air/ground after Quint, useing earth meld in the case of the latter. They would try to catch him, though once within a few yards of Quint, if in the air, they would open their maws, and a thick ploom of gas would rocket out at him from both, this an air born variant of all venemous snakes known to mortal man. hyper-necrosis, circulatory problems, heart problems, blood clotting problems, every effect attributed to venemous snakes was an issue with this fatal gas. Instant death in the case of mortal men. The problem was, even if he didn't breath it in, the fumes were still corrosive, and toxic to flesh, and through open wound made by it, would gain access inside the body, if not through the pores.
If the snakes had to chase him under ground, they would make an attempt to bite him, and through that means, inject the venoms.
Regardless, of which scenario played out, the rebounded electrical energy served only to replace the energy lost in expelling it, not even warranting notice from the monster Midian, as he opened the japanese fan with a loud snap. On it, a beautiful design of an eel, entangled with a viper, struggling in a background of storm clouds, lightning and water.
With the Rune of Tyr illuminated on the top of his left hand, Midian would seep the fan through the air, forcing against the air to send a solid wall of wind rushing towards the barrier of water Ryu had made, pushing against it, forcing it to strain and bend, before Midian would then rather then go against the air with a fanning motion, slice through it, going 'with the grain' in a sense. This motion encouraged a blade of air, rather then a wall, that would hit the wall of water Ryu created whilst it still strained to retain its shape, and hopfully, slice straight through and toward the pair of Shinobi. The blade of air was perfectly horizontal at waist height to a six foot tall man like Ryu. Now providing the blade managed to slice through the weakened wall of water, the wall of air pushing against it would now have a focal line to worm through at the same time as the blade. This ment, that the Blade would have behind it, a blunt force blast with the hitting force of a truck.
"Pick who ever you like Dagoth. I dont care. None of them interest me yet."

*whistling with amusement, Roan shook her head, impressed with her Beast. Idly, she found her mind reaching out, reassuring her she wa still entrenched enough in his mind to PREVENT him from going off the raisl over the ENTIRE local populace heading back towards home, but she checke dthe reaction and le him be. Trust mattered and no matter HOW much more brutal Midian was to Corbin, she accepted he was clan and would respect that. Her own neck pulsed as she observed him, the ortus on her own neck happily letting her see in a unqiue way just what Disciplines the general was using*

Dagoth had sat himself down watching the fight with great glee it seemed Corbin had become more primal these days, it suited Dagoth he was tired of getting all the crap for just being himself he would have gladly taken Corbin's offer of one of them however. Something had caught his attention it was Roan's own eye darting about independently looking confused towards his mistress, knowing full well this didn't bode well at all for anyone. He instead shook his head grinning towards Corbin.
"Far be it from me to interrupt your fun dear brother, there does seem to be someone more interesting coming though."

As the ground broke in front of Midian and Quint brought forth his limb to strike, he noticed the creature didn't budge an inch, both unaffected and unamused. However, to what Quint hoped was his opponent's surprise, he hadn't attacked to cause damage at the moment. During his rise through the ground, Quint had preformed a touch of Alchemy below, which caused the earth beneath both to sink in a circle. Midian would be square in the middle, like a tee at the golf range.
Of course his knee was shielded. With the same rock he used to capture Corbin he welded to an outer layer of bats on his extremity, and used it to attack. There was a faint sizzle as the creatures natural toxins eroded his protective casing, and Quint broke away. Well, that's certainly new.. As he was flipping back, keeping a steady eye on Corbin, the man's tail found its way up and around to our protagonist, but was quickly met with Quint's OWN tail! Lacking feeling from being an unnatural addition, Corbin's own operation came to put a stop to his strike, Quint's tail wrapped taught.
While the two were 'stuck' together, Quint smirked. Midian was actually right where he wanted him, and now Phase Two could commence.
In a quick motion, Quint's tail would unravel, and he'd jump to about five feet above Corbin, both hands high above his head, charging a ball of a yellow color that only grew as time went on. When he felt that it was properly finished, Quint would use the energy and blast it at Midian. Inside the sphere were both strength from his person and a touch of Alchemy, not unlike the Destruction technique he had just seen. In Alchemy it was possible to simply break down any substance that was touched, and that'd be used in a hopefully unique way to destroy his opponent.
Here's where it'd get a bit..wonky. The attack itself wouldn't do any damage as that wasn't his intent, but it would very quickly push Corbin deeper into the rock, and Quint's plan was to force him down to the layers of rock that weren't rock, but lava. Regardless of what a creature was made of, 1200 degrees Celsius of molten mass would prove crippling. Now, depending on if Midian could prove to break free of his waist high, solid stone and masses of iron around Midian's ankles prison, Quint would reassess his target and fire appropriately, but instead get much closer to point-blank range, he assuming that Corbin had the same Celerity technique Lady Roan had.

Rioushu also looked up first at Midian, but it was mostly because he was sure he had seen him before. He recognized Dagoth immediately, but Midian...could he be Corbin? Such a large transformation in such short time didn't sound too good to Rio, he didn't even know what Corbin could do before, but now...and then Rio started noticing the motions he was making with his fan. He couldn't see the sparks, but he could immediately feel the air and rain, and the ground itself conducting some electricity into his body. He paid no mind to this, as he merely put his hand on the handle of his katana, slightly unsheathing it as he transfered the electricity to the blade, sure it would come in handy later.
Rioushu at this point was staring at Roan, having noticed the flames coming towards him but paying no mind, in the rain, muddy ground, and Ryu's jutsu, it would take massive amount of fire to even catch his concern. He stared intently at Roan, for he was opening the link between them, and he was already put a lot of focus and keeping the link open, he was sure Roan would try and block him out of her mind.
What're you doing Seeing what's on Roan's mind. Oh, by the way, take over for a second. And keep your eyes closed until I said so.
Rioushu closed his eyes as let he Vallmar take control, Vallmar still hadn't seen the fire coming, so with his eyes closed he didn't even know it existed as of yet. The fire past without much difficulty, and Vallmar opened his eyes, looking around.
What was that about? Nothing, just testing something, alright, switch again.
Rioushu opened his eyes again and looked at Midian, wondering when Quint would finally appear and make his strike. Rio didn't plan on attacking until Quint was defeated, that way no screw ups happened between them.

::Broken Cross::
Picking up on the scent of battle and the familar presence of his friends, the chaos was drawn towards the ancient battlefield of Broken Cross. From afar it had seemed like an interesting afair--fire, explosions, rolling thunder, and mists of blood made for a spectacualar show.
Which might have explained bucket of popcorn Gatz was carrying.
The chaos entity seated himself on an outcropping of demolished stonework--likely the ruins of some broken church or homestead--and turned an interested gaze to towards the fight. He gave Roan an offhanded wave, briefly acknowledging her presence before he grabbed a handful of munchies.

Adel had not even taken notice to Corbin, Midian; his attention was abruptly removed from that battle. He might have commented, he might have said something about the DeSeer's arrogance. But it did not come, not this time... "Your boy is right." ...Or maybe he had. The voice came to Roan's mind in response to Dagoth's words, as the eye he now held control over continued moving. "Something is amiss, something is coming. Many things maybe, one big thing, too much... Too much to tell. Be weary..." he would tell her, a slight tint of anger hinting at the way his voice sounded.

.: Hmm? Can you tell me anything else? :.
*Roan was instantly alert, her indolent stance surplanted by attention as she deftly leapt back up the statue, using the masonry of Narok's strong arms to balance as she stood tall and looked off in a wide circle for any hint of what Adel spoke of.*
.: Which group? Truth? Valdris's army? Which way? :.
*She didnt say it, but general approval for Adel speaking up and making himself usefulflowed from her thoughts to him, her tail coiling tight around the statue below while she ignored all else, including Gatz*

"Without more information? No, there isn't much I can tell you..." Almost instinctively, the eye was glancing to the left and down slightly, as if Roan were at his side and he were trying to glance to her. The eye then tilted to the right, then up as Adel focused himself a little, calming his anger. "But the feeling... It is not unlike the shapeshifter from before, but still different. Truth... Or another of these 'subordinate sons' of his, more then likely." Adel's eye looked ahead, straight ahead "Every... Way, it's a mass, surrounding..." Adel's voice grew quiet, a whisper, trying to focus on a single point among the mass that drew the most interest from him.

*making a decision based on Adel's vague murmurings wasnt as hard as it maybe should have been. With Dagoth slightly to the left of the three attacking Midian, and Midian obviously to their fore, she leapt from the statue to the rear of the three attacking her son, thus putting the DeSeer group in a triangle formation to deal with whatever was coming their way without leaving any flank directly open to attack. Her poise and posture should more than communicate trouble approaching to both her sons, but she spoke aloud anyway*
Adel says we got incomings. Maybe shapeshifters. Eyes on me, and keep em peeled.
*In short, she meant to look to her for orders, and in the mean time.. expect an attack form any firection*

OOC::
Technically, Corbins Degeneration attack would still work through Quints tail, as its made by Corbin through existing cells of Quint's body, unless its been changed since, or armored thus not making skin contact. But, I would rather continue then go over little things.
_______________________________
Midian again, apparently found this to be a less then dangerous situation, as he rode out the assault, somewhat impressed at his opponents tactics. Alchemy, he recognized this technique...He even knew a little. Transmutation that is, and metalurgy. That however, would for now, and possibly always, remain a secret from Quint. There were far more effect ways of dealing with this scenario.
Midian gave a wicked snarl as Quint's series of attacks seemed to end for the time being, before he would come in for more close range tactics..The monster however wouldn't give Quint the time, as his scaley form took on a much more, mineral-esque form. His body became a mix-matched puzzle of different earthen colours from sand stone to iron, before he simply sank into the ground completely. This was Earth meld, as the Serpents already had a chance to flaunt.
Meer moments later, there was a rumble, followed by an explosion of Lava, gushing out from under Quint like a geyser(sp?).
Midian's lava caked arm then shot out from the vertical flood of lava, his claws without any more then that moments notice growing out like senbon needle spears that rifled through the air at an alarming speed. Corbin's claws were now roughly tweenty meters in length, harder then diamonds, and sharper to boot, all five aiming to pierce Quint's torso.
"I was born of hell, boy. These fires serve little more as a spa!"
A slight exhageration, though Quint may take notice, esspecially as the rest of Midian's body casually strolled out from the upward flowing stream of lava, that his hide of scales had once more shifted to cerulean, however now flaunted a much cleaner, glossier surface. He looked like a living, breathing diamond. Aggregated Diamond, to be precise.
Quint had missed much in his absence. Corbin had died, some time ago, and been reborn in a body he had before hand modified to his liking, the body he now worked in. One of the key modifications Corbin had made, was introducing a sub-conciously aware Aggregated diamond nanorod system. Artificial diamonds technically. Much tougher then the natural diamond. A single molecule was forged through compressing sixty Carbon atoms to a pressure of tweenty GPa, whilst at the same time, heating to 2500 KELvin. An entire hide of the substance, was an armor to be envied, to say the very least. These almost sentient nanorods were designed to work like countless tiny reversable skin cells. On one side, the hide that came with this body naturally. On the flipped side, the ADNR coated skin. At the subcontious thought of impending danger to his physical being, they were flipped.
"I am Perfect. The ultimate sword. The invicible shield. Fight me boy, bring me to the battle field I so crave. Bring up the fires of hell, break me down till i'm nothing. FIGHT ME, FIGHT ME!"
Norris himself, the behemoth only managed as far as cracking the armor, after hitting him with a running headbut with countless tons behind it. Midian himself weighed several tons.
With that beastial roar, Midian's scales all at once vibrated, vibrating the air almost to the point of being visible, as Quint's own shadow suddenly sprung to life, six tentacles of blackness reaching out for his body. These were the arms of the abyss, what ever they touched, was taken to the void. Should they touch his leg, his armor would be gone in a moment, the next second, his skin, the next, muscle, followed by bone. Not all at once. Thus, even a fleeting brush of a tentacle would look to dissolve armor plating. Should one wrap around a leg, or arm, the limb would be amputaited in a matter of seconds. Bad news if one got to his torso or head.
As for Roan and her warning, Midian may have appeared to be ignoring her, but was far from it. His visual senses perpetually scanned the surroundings, least wastful of all possibly, the art of Eagle's sight, which gave him a birds eye perspective of a two mile radius around them, with which to use his other visual aids, such as aura perception. He had the most effect radar here perhaps.

((From what I understood when he told me, Quint's tail is an artificial appendage wholly made of metal, with no flesh until it hits his spine. I think that's why it seems to be immune to the technique.))
Gatz watched the fight with quiet reserve, weighing the strength and skill of the combatants against each other. It was an amusing fight, but the Deseer's superior attitude was beginning to irk him somewhat--fortunately, that problem was easy to rectify.
"... Quint, Rio, and... 'other'," he called, his voice sounding droll and slightly bored. "You might want to teach 'Mr. Perfect' here a lesson or two in geology and rock-cutting. Like the fact that calcium is a mineral with a base pH, and tends to dissolves in H20; or perhaps that a jet of high pressure water is capable of cutting through solid diamond with ease." He smiled and gave his friends and encouraging wave. "That said, make sure to have some fun out there~!"
His lecture of the day finished, the entity went back to enjoying his popcorn as he watched the fight. Like the others, he could feel the encroaching presence drawing closer, circling them like a shark. Since it seemed to be neither female nor interested in Gatz himself, he ignored it, writting it off as some spot of trouble Roan had stirred up on her own accord. She was someone who could fight her own battles, obviously, and he was content to let the she-devil do just that.

"Seems the real fight is coming, I wonder how long these three last. Its been awhile since, what is he calling himself now? Midian? ******** Ego all right, anyway mistress with your permission of course. I'd like to use full reign of my abilities unless Vengeance wishes to step into the fray."
He knew that Roan would understand what he was asking of her, their bond different to Midian's, Iden's and all the other little rats that followed her around like lost puppies. Dagoth couldn't wait he had no interest fighting those that couldn't see past their nose's, he wanted the true goal in all of this Truth's boys all of them. He'd kill them all and send their souls straight to his mistress, Dagoth almost burst out out laughing as his sense's reached to their very edges he could feel the power racing towards them. He stood there his whole body shuddering with a perverse amusement, his grin ripping across his pale features threatening to consume his whole face.

*turning her head to view Dagoth, she looked almost Viking, with her clear cut jaw, her human eye sparkling vibrantly as she inclined her head, that strong face dipping in acquiescance. She held up a hand, a burst of light flashing over the scene, blinding for but an instant, then there was a terrible heat, caused by the massive bird that appeared on her arm, alight with flame, but managing not to even char Roan's hair. Casting her arm up, she released the bird into the air, where it circled once, then dived for Dagoth, melding into him. On Roan's chest... the tattoo of the animal just summoned was gone*
Fight well. Scorch them in our name, son. This one is yours.

Adel's warnings seemed on the mark, it was becoming more and more apparent something was approaching. Ego would see it, but only a small trace of it... For even with his massive range of detection and the ability to see almost everything; he would still mostly see nothing. He was not aware of what he was looking for, exactly. Like Gatz, the presence would be felt, but only that 'presence' of something. Through the overhead view, and looking out around the battlefield, it would appear as if the area and the sky were darkening. Not unlike the way the day darkens when clouds overcast, the night would become almost black around them. A wave of darkness closed in around them, surrounding them. But it kept back at a certain range, when it reached the point of about five meters away from the center (Assuming the 'center' is a meter away from the statue and the 'triangle' is a short distance to the side of the center) it stopped. Calm was settling over the land, even as the fighting continued. The sound of battle became dampened; where as the sound of the air was heightened. Adel's eye settled onto its neutral position, he did not speak; only listened. Roan would almost feel, perhaps even hear him concentrate, the slowing of his other senses. "Left! Move left!" The eye widened as it spoke up, yelled even to Roan in sudden warning. Almost at the very moment Adel finished speaking, a very brief glint appeared behind Roan; following a metallic hue and a curved wave of air that would swipe from behind her.
Along with the wave were two others, one moving diagonal and at about neck level with her moving to her right; The other moving down and left, swiping at about her midsection to around her thighs. The first, and much longer wave would cause a crescent shaped mark on her back. Though, assuming she would heed Adel's warning and move, this mark would appear on the ground instead. The other two swipes would make similar marks, the one moving right either on the back of her neck or on her shoulder where as the other would make on her waist or left thigh. However, had she dodged, these two would simply swipe the air and do nothing. The longer of the two, however, would hit the ground; as stated earlier. Seconds after the mark was made, it would begin to expand outward, not unlike the way the moon expands as the eclipse passes. However, before it even reached a quarter past, the ground would explode violently. The earth would rise like a geyser, leaving a meter wide and half a meter deep crater that was a perfect circle. This was merely an example of what would have happened to Roan's body, or would happen if she were hit by the strike. The whole of the event lasted mere moments, and before Roan's dodge would even complete, Adel's eye would quickly dart in Dagoth's direction.
"Hehehe..." A low, deep chuckle echoed through the area as a white... Surface appeared behind Dagoth. It was a mask, a completely white mask, lacking any sort of eye or mouth holes. The ebony surface had but one feature on its otherwise featureless form, a rose. A single, etched in design that appeared like a rose, the stem starting at the bottom of the mask leading up to the flower at the top. Another glint, the air swiping across Dagoth's midsection; this strike would not produce a crescent regardless if it hit or not, though it was faster than the attack on Roan. About a second or so after it would follow another swipe like it, going from right to left like the first. This swipe would be at about nose level with Dagoth; at about half a second after that another, going at knee height from right to left. The delay between them was deliberate though, made so that, should Dagoth try to counter attack immediately after he would be exposing himself to the next one. Should he stop that, the next one made at his legs would come, though with a shorter delay to further through him off. However, there was no visible figure to begin with, just that white mask that raised a good three or so feet above Dagoth's natural height.
