L walked over to InuYasha and looked at his ears. He grabbed one and pulled it down to get a better look at it. "Hm...Now that you think about it they do seem sort of like dog's ears...".

(Shirou could tell what materials swords are made of and what special properties they possess by just looking at them.)

((I don't know about that but Access 'dies' or achieves status for reincarnation in the manga, and is reincarnated and his human name is Shinji..and he's really a really cute 4 year old biggrin Oh..yeah and Maron's passed out in Chiaki's arms..so she probably wouldn't respond to L...))

"OWOWOW!! LET GO!!!" InuYasha slapped L's hand away and he held his ears protectively. "They aren't made to come off!" he snapped. "And Tetsuiga was made out of my father's fang but when it broke, it had to be remade using my fang and since then it has gotten a lot more powerful." He grinned as he thought of all the attacks he could now use.
Kagome went over to L. "InuYasha doesn't really like people touching his ears. The only person he allows to touch his ears is me." She explained.

Tsuzuki and Hisoka looked at L when they heard him talking about Kira, "Actually, we're also trying to investigate who this 'Kira' person is," Hisoka explained, "That's why we're on Earth."
"We know what causes the death, but who is doing it is the big question, seeing as there are hundreds of other shinigami- the ones who don't pass the tests- who have the means of killing people. But maybe we can work together, Kira could be either human or Shinigami, or both," Tsuzuki pondered.

L rubbed his hand from it being slapped and nodded at Kagome then whispered "Hes a bit of a jerk isn't he?" then he heard Hisoka and his eyes widened and quickly turned to them looking a bit ravanous and suprised "What have you learned so far about Kira? Anything usfull?". He back off a bit and said in his normal tone "I'm sorry...This Kira thing gets the best of me now and again...What have you learned if anything?".

Tsuzuki looked at L in shock, but Hisoka didn't seem to really care, but he could feel L's emotion, his want to catch Kira.
"Well, all we know is that this Kira person has the Death Note, which is a notebook for the other shinigami. You write someone's name in it and envision their face, then it kills them in 40 seconds of a heart attack unless otherwise specified. That's the most we know. Right now Kira could be a bored shinigami or a human, or like we said before, they could be working together," Hisoka explained.

Kagome tried hard not to laugh at the part of InuYasha being a jerk but small giggles escaped her lips. "It's true. . . he is a bit of a jerk . . ." she calmed down a bit. "But he has his nice side too." she added.
InuYasha growled. "I can hear you ya know." He called over his shoulder. "Demon's fangs are not like normal fangs." He tried explaining. He had never had to explain this before and he was finding it awkward. "You know what . . . how about I show you?" he asked. as he tried to pull out the Tetsuiga. He had completely forgotten that it had been sealed. "Come on damnit." he growled, frustrated as he glared at his sword.

L blinked twice when he heard of the death note and his eyes widened "A book that kills people?..." Heput his thumb in his upper lip and said "Thats...Unbeleivable..." he was really thinking this over. He was shocked to hear of such a thing. He nodded then said "Thank you for your information...I just hope Kira doesn't find any of our names out...". He looked at Chiaki "We should find somwhere to spend the night...An apartment of yours maybe?".

"Well, Tsuzuki and I don't really need to worry about him finding out our names," Hisoka said bitterly as if angry that he was dead, "If you can't find a place to stay, the Count probably wouldn't mind if we stayed at the bureau, or even his mansion...."
"No! We aren't staying in his mansion! Last time I got sucked into that book!" Tsuzuki exclaimed.
"You are such a baby, how old are you?" Hisoka glared at Tsuzuki.
"I'm 98, but he made me a WOMAN in his book so he could MARRY me! I am getting no where near him," Tsuzuki shuddered, remembering the plot of the Count's book.

InuYasha finally snapped in frustration at not being able to draw his sword. It disabled him greatly. "L!" He yelled and jumped in front of the man. "What the ******** did you do to my sword?!" He snapped. "I haven't been able to draw it since you had me put in that cage!"
Kagome sighed. "Sit."
InuYasha fell into the ground.
"He means that he wants to know what is preventing him from drawing the Tetsuiga and if you can change that." she translated InuYasha's yelling into a politer form.

L scratched his cheek and said confused "You...Were a woman?...". He looked at Kagome and said "I have no idea why his sword won't open...All that happened was that he was thrown in jail.".

Hisoka just rubbed his head and looked over at InuYasha and Kagome, but didn't really know how to help. "He did keep them to himself, you just ran off after Tatsumi hurt your feelings and was sucked in," Hisoka said flatly.
