"Yes, He can be. But like I said he is unpredictable, so if he taps the power he has locked away, he could over power you. For instance, without tapping it, he can filter through your shield and access your emotions, thoughts. much of what you pretect. You wouldn't even know it, because you wouldn't feel him nor would you feel the breaking of your shield cause it hasn't. He is an empath, a "special" one." He marveled over this.

*Al allowed Mercy to play with her hair, but stiffened a bit at the part about Eric's abilities* So, basically, even if Eric is not as powerful as Mercy...he can worm into peoples minds undetected and sense their emotions? *This idea disconcerted her because her emotions were her own, and should be left that way.*
