UniKorn Tiger Rosemary Zwick in Cape Town, South Africa says she saw this in her evening newspaper: Overheard: She's not overweight, just chocolate enriched. LOL. *Throws a yeast roll at Uni*

Hi! I thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. I'm kmaritza, better known as Tetravus's wife around this guild. I hope to hang out and contribute more here eventually, but right now getting settled into our new place is taking most of my time.

UniKorn Tiger yum, yum, want to share your recipe for these? I've been trying to get the recipe from my aunt for 4 years now. She says that she'll give it to me, but she never does. Thing is she still has her recipe that she won nationals for 4-H bread baking with, but the one that I remember most that everyone loved was after that.

icebrat Would anyone be interested in a thread on canning/preserving recipes? It's what I'm doing a lot of right now I posted a recipe for fruit preserves. I think it was in the "Msc" thread. I really do need to make an index thread. I thought I had somebody who offered to do that, but I found out that I misunderstood. I am going to have to do that perhaps this weekend. Hope everything goes well for you with canning/preserving. 3nodding

Sorry I've been MIA. Gaia's still being slow to load for me, but no critical errors. I've really enjoyed our week of vacation. My husband's surgery got pushed back a week, so I have some time. I'll try to post some tips and more recipes ASAP!

Whoa, I didn't know Julia Childs had died. eek I was just watching Food Network yesterday and they had a little commercial montage to her. She will be missed, I used to love watching her shows (or reruns I don't know) as a kid.

Hopefully Julia Child is being welcomed into heaven with a "Bon appetit!" from someone up there.

Thank you.
I just was watching this place die. And there were a couple of great ideas that I wanted to let everyone know about. Uni and I (mainly Uni) are cooking up an idea for this guild, but it will have to wait till there are more people active because it is a competition.
Now only if I could PM the entire membership at once without having to spend over an hour each week in the mail system to get the newsletter out.
