"Rocks don't give you water." Chorin states cryptically shooting a confused look at Gaorin and then resuming his gaze upon the goblin whom seemed to settle down. "We saved its life but at this rate were just going to sit here till that air elemental returns. Perhaps with more of its kind, or perhaps with these 'heretical creatures.' Steven your leader, we need to get this guy to talk fast or to give us some direction here..."

Steven nodded in agreement. "Let's at least head back to camp. We might be able to see them coming if we're there." Steven stated, still waiting for the goblin to respond.

The goblin slowly manages to calm down. After he thanks you, he pants heavily some more, and says "beasts not gods. Pretenders." He then relates in disjointed Trade that though most of his tribe believe the elementals to be divine messengers of the revered creator gods and have been directing the tribe to make war on some underground tribes and species, stealing some shiny rocks from them.
He says he discovered one of the elementals, that air elemental, conspiring with a demon. Demons, you gather, are just as reviled by these goblins as they are by everyone else.
He manages to gather himself and follows you to your camp if you still wish to head there.

gao contemplated for a minute, "Im not one to impose on another culture's beliefs, enough people have imposed upon my own, unfortunately with demons involved we have little choice in the issue, we need to find out where their base of operations is located."

On this principle chorin agreed whole heartedly. "Yes I'm afraid theres no avoiding it. The demon and elementals are whats starting this if we destroy them the whole thing will fall apart."

After reaching your camp site, you consider that perhaps it is still a bit too close to the battle site if you are worried that the elemental might be back with allies. The forest around you is thick and would be difficult to navigate, but the canopy would protect you from being spotted by air.
So your immediate concern is one of course of action: Risk getting lost in the forest, or risk getting attacked on the river. Of course, the third option will be to move on the trail through the forest, where you will still be hidden from the air but down a path that is easy to follow.

"my vote is with the river pass, villages need water to survive, so having the village near the river is convenient. unless our goblin friend says otherwise."

(Okay, we'll just assume he agrees with whatever actions you take.)
You move down the river in the direction your new cohort instructs you that the village is towards. While you may be visible from the air, at least you are putting distance between yourselves and where they'll look for you first.
It looks like you find them first, however. While walking down the path, you stumble upon what must surely be a confused war party of five Goblin Warriors and a goblin sergeant of some sort. They look shocked when they see you, but their leader chitters something to his warriors in goblin tongue and they charge you shouting.

Shaking his head he assumes a guard hoping his shields stave off the goblins, so far plans seem to have just flown by ear, hopefully with the defeat of this lieutenant and its brigade some morale would be restored and people would come to their senses.
