"Nice meeting you Kirus." Haku smiled prettily and then suddenly the look went harder, only to smile again right after. "Thats the same here. But thats no problem. Since i'm no female." The black orbs peered at the stranger, waiting to see the reaction.

Kirus was slightly stunned for a moment, his eyebrow arched into an expression of increduality, but he smiled also, unbidded, the smile pulled at the edges of his lips which curled until the sentiment reached his eyes. Shocked yes? Neive enough to think Haku was some kind of hermaphrodite or the kind, no. Stories like that from strange parts of the world were true yes, but not so common. "You cirtenly are beautiful then my friend" he commented and admired, tippin his head a little and saluting softly with his cup before drinking down the remaining contents.

Haku nodded as he looked amused. "Thank you Kirus. Its kind of you to say so. Though most men think different about that when they hear i'm not the female they apearently want me to be." Haku smiled and took a sip of his drank aswell.

Kirus placed his cup back on to the table before him, his fingertips tracing its rim as he spoke, his eyes staying constant within the others gaze, his emerald pupils probably seeming striking enough in a community largely brown eyed. He thought nothing of it, though allowed his gaze to sparkle. Haku interested him, and that was more than he could say for a great many people, including suitors and lovers. There were so many simpering girls that one could take advantage of, they were always boring, always plain in their own way. Kirus cleared his mind of such thoughts.
"I assure you, I would make no such judgements on you, men are quite often fools I admit"

Haku laughed softly. "True. But then again woman can be just the same." He wasn't going to reveil that he disliked woman. Wouldn't be good for his business. "Would you like another drink Kirus?" He smiled politely and stood up to get the other another drink. His own was still half filled, but then again that wasn't strange since he was slow at almost everything he did.

"some water would be divine if you have some?" he replied, a smile still on his face, grinning at Haku's comments. He had had too many local drinks for this evening and it had been weeks since he had had fresh water that had not become stale in barrels at sea. He continued to talk as Haku moved, he felt totally at ease talking to this foreigner, strange he thought, considering how uncomfortable the others had made him feel, just through strength and presence. Then again, Haku didn't yet know he was here on slave trade business. "I assure you, English women are some of the most foolish fops you should ever meet, mealy and meek, hardly ever interesting at all.."

"Ofcourse. One water comming up." Haku smiled and grabbed a new glass and a small bottle. He placed them both down in front of Kirus. "Well woman here, what can i see. I cannot say if they are worse or the same from the woman in england, but they are a pain in the a** sometimes. Pardon my words." Haku laughed softly and put a kettle on the fire to make himself some tea. "Did you visit other homes when you arrived here? Cause it was such a bad weather not so long ago." Haku knew perfectly well where the stranger had been and what his business was here. Seti had wrote everything to him about the stranger. Though he never used that to hold something against the stranger. He wanted to get to know them first before recalling to the information. While the water was cooking Haku took the kettle off the fire and poured it into a large bowl. He grabbed his own remaining drink that was still on the counter and poured it into the hot water before adding another small bottle with a purple looking liquid. This would probebly seem strange to the other but the drink mixed really well with tea.

Kirus smiled widely and nodded in thanks, before pouring himself some water and drinking heartily. He had not realised his thirst until it had been quenched. Listening to Haku talk, he threw his head back and laughed loudly at the others colloquialism, he nodded also, showing he agreed. And in answer to Haku's question, smoothed his damp hair back unconsciously, in the heat of the Tavern they had begun to dry and frizz. "Yes, a woman and her son saw me walking into town in the rain and invited me in, it was lovely of them, they introduced me to your culture a little also. Byoux and Seti, I wonder if you know them?" he asked, and taking another sip of his water "and tell me, I'd be interested to know, how did you learn english, you seem to have a very good grasp on the language indeed"

Haku nodded. "Yes i know them. The whole village knows one another." He smiled, leaving away the little part that he had his little parades with Byoux's son. "Well. English was my mothers first language. She moved to japan when she was young." He smiled brightly as he thought of his mother. "She was such a pretty creature. So opposite from my father. But oh well. They are all lost and gone." He shrugged and sipped his tea. "Do you know the japanese language or did Byoux and Seti talk english with you?"

Kirus nodded solemnly, not having anything to say or ask about the others parents. Perhaps if they were better friends, even then it was not a subject of gentlemanly conversation. The whole village knowing one another, it seemed a strange prospect, but on thinking about it, he assumed that it was probably the same situation in England, he barely knew everyone in his families manor house overlooking the borough. Trips into the village were few and far between, usually to get a horse re-shooed or something of the like.
"I'm afraid I'm ignorant of your native language" he admitted "I was, and still am surprised to find so many well trailed English speakers around. I was thinking of hiring Seti as my translator" he admitted "But I am rather thinking of changing my mind..."

Haku managed to look mildly surprised. "Why change your mind? Seti is capable of alot of things next to just translating. He is one of the strongest from the village. To have him to work for you, since you are still a stranger is like a miracle." Haku smirked. How he would tease Seti with that. And he knew almost for sure that Seti would not take on that request. Haku sipped his tea. "So what is your background? To be just blunt, what is a stranger like yourself doing here?" He smiled prettily at the stranger. His mind informed him with the fact that the stranger was rather attractive.

((sorry hun! Been away, and in three days, will be away again >_<))
"Well" Kirus said, leaning forwards just a little, his lips stretching into a wicked grin "I was rather thinking you might be a more pleasant option, if you were able too?" Thinking about it, Kirus probably thought the charming bar-tender was likely to be running his bar in the day times; but then, enough money could buy anything; and Seti had seemed just a little scary to tell the truth. Kirus' smile stayed, but the light behind his eyes dimmed a little, hardened as Haku asked what he was there for. His background? That was a different question altogether. He'd find his way around this somehow.
"I'm here on business." he admitted freely "I import goods from places of the world other Englishmen are either too stuffy or too scared to venture to"

((but atleast your here now.. the rp's got stuck @_@ ))
Haku purred softly as the man leaned forward a bit. "I will see what i can do. I think it will be possible yes." He moved his fingers over the edge of the counter as he looked at the stranger. "Goods. Hmm i think i don't want to know more, cause you seem a nice man now and i don't want to hear the bad stuff." He smiled once more, the pretty pale face framed by the night black hair. "Would you like anything? A drink, or something to eat?"

Kirus smiled "You're a wise man, obviously" he noted, on Haku's own notation. No more should be known, it was for the best. Everyone had a dark secret he was sure. "I am well thank-you; you have watered me plenty and I ate well enough with Seti and his good mother." He bowed his head slightly, and removed his coat, now he was warming in the heat of the tavern, his shirt that typical of a ship at the time; white with poets sleeves, the front loose and threaded at the neck, not with the usual leather chord, but with emerald velvet ribbon. "I think, a room would be good soon- it has been a long month without a bed that does not swell with the waves"

Haku smiled and stepped behind the bar, pulling out a small book. He flipper through the first pages. "What kind of room would you have wanted? And just let me know if you need anything apart from the room." His long pale fingers where sliding along the room numbers, seeing which where still free.
