I'd say the brass in general, but mostly the trombones

Spanish Nerd the saxophones always get yelled at for talking the most 3nodding i agree! they talk the most, and they end up playing the wrong notes when playing!

It seems like the saxophones and the bari saxophones talk more than they play and lately some clarinets won't stop talking either.

It's a contest between the drummers, and our brass line... The entire brass line... Of which, I am in both...

Clarinets, most likely, with flutes and percussion coming in close second.

First Place Talkers in my band are the trumpets.. Ugh! Second Place Talkers are the clarinets, which is most of the band. >>
Third Place Talkers are the flutes! They think they're better then the rest of us... and us saxophones have to sit right in between all of them... Not fun. Especially during marching season. We have to get yelled at too, though there's only four of us and none of us talk..

In our band, it is totally the flutes. They are so cute and wonderful and I love them to death, but they don't know when to shut-up.
Then the trumpets talk a lot, mostly during marching season. The ones next to me would talk INTO the show, it was actually pretty funny.
Sometimes the clarinets talk, but not that often. My section (bass clarinet) talks all the time. There are only two of us, and we are commonly forgotten, so he never notices our common chatter.

I'm in 2 bands: middle school and high school. In regular band (middle school), it's the trumpets. Not the clarinets cause we only have 3 (GAH!! WE NEEEEED MORE CLARINETS!!), and the flutes are pretty quiet in class..... In wind ensemble (high school), it's........just a couple remarks here and there from almost everyone. But not a lot.

The trombones would have to be the biggest talkers in our band. However, the baritones and percussionists aren't far behind.
