*Hushabye, skiddish of touch still, walked to the river, being careful not to brush up against any of the other four while doing so. He had been brought up in a troubled place and was accustomed to not belonging and being shunned and tortured by those around him.
He belonged to a herd of unicorns who belived that the sky should belong to birds and butterflies, and so they shunned and outcasted any pegasus they came about. His dam became fond of a pegasus stallion, however and in serecy would spend her days with him, until eventually Hushabye was born, he was named before he was born and when he was, all her herd members saw his wings and immediately shunned her for bringing such an evil into their herd, and discracing the lead stallion's name.
They forced her out, and in anguish and misery she lashed out to the young foal. Rarely he ate, just enough to keep him alive, all he could get before she decided to move again or lash out at him. She brought him back to the pegasus' herd but neither of them were wanted, and the foal was abandoned just as he learned to gain sustenance elsewhere.*

((Sorry, sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to take so long. sweatdrop ))
Kipcha turned her attention back to the group and watched Hushabye avoid contact with the others. She shrugged and shook her mane. "Do you still want to join with the herd? They won't be hard to find." She dreaded rejoining the herd as the lead mare did not like her that much and she did not look forward to the confrontation there was bound to be.

Ghost's ears flickered around to each of the horses. "I really don't think rejoinging the herd is the best idea...the lead mare won't like it, and there's sure to be a fight if she wants someone put in their place. I don't want anyone getting hurt.." He snorted and shook his head, then lowered his head to the river and took a long drink.

Kipcha snorted and pawed the ground. She grumbled something about the lead mare but other wise held her calm. Following Ghost's lead she dipped her muzzle into the river and drank. Raising her head she limped from the water to stand next to Freebird. "Then what are we going to do?"

Ghost didn't want to keep them from the herd if it was in their best intrests, so he quickly revised his statement. "Well, I didn't mean you couldn't go to the herd, I mean, I you want to, I won't stop either of you. You'll have a better chance of surviving with them, either way..." he said, pawing the ground. He didn't want them to leave, but if it was best for them, he wouldn't keep them here. He looked over at Hushabye. "So....where are you from? I've only ever seen one other of your kind, but he was just a pegasus..." he asked the stallion, trying to make him feel more comfortable. His voice trailed off as he remember his best friend as a colt, a black winged horse names Nytemare.

*Hushabye stood, feeling a bit tense, sensing a hint of annoyance between Kipcha and Ghost. He moved his eyes quietly to Freebird and watched for a second Casper nursing.* The sky.. *He thought about what he had just said and saw the sarcasticness of it, how that could be taken into offense.* I lived with a hateful herd in a forest as opaque as the clouds themselves but surprisingly real to those of you down here from Earth, though I was born down here in a far off desert. Since I was a yearling I've been living by myself, though. I ran off.

Ghost sighed. "I'm sorry...though I wish I had wings like yours. Their amazing.Your very lucky to have them." He shook his head, has mane flying everywhere again. "So, do we want to go back to the cliff and figure something out?" he asked looking over at Freebird and Kipcha.

*Freebird looked up from grazing here and there* I really haven't got a problem with anything you two decide, I hate to be alone is all..*She looked towards Ghost with gratitude.*

Ghost smiled at Freebird, he cared alot for her. He was glad he had saved her from that lion, she had become a good companion and friend. He then looked over at Kipcha. "I guess it's up to you then, you want to go back to the cliff or...you decide." he said. He really didn't want her to go back to the herd, she too had become a great friend and companion.

*Leaving Kipcha to decide, Freebird followed her playful little Casper around, prancing a bit as she went. The little foal gave her energy, his spirit flowing through her body and into the air, the two passed Hushabye who simply stood, watching them. As Freebird passed, slowly trotting along, she looked into the quiet stallion's eyes, and they seemed more evil and plotting than they once did. She thought nothing of it, It's just theway the light hits them, is all.She thought.

Ghost watched Freebird and Casper play and he smiled. He had grown found of them both, even the little foal. Sure, he had run off and almost gotten himself killed, but he was just young and curious. He had been the same way as a colt. He chuckled to himself. "Freebird, you are such a good momma to him." he called to her. He looked over at Hushabye and he too saw the plotting look in his eyes as he watched Freebird. He pinned his ears back for a split second, then flitted them forward again. 'He better not be thinking what I think he's thinking...' he thought to himself. He wondered if accepting the stallion had been the best idea. 'I'll have to keep a close watch on Freebird and Casper, especially Casper. If Hushabye wants Freebird bad enough, he'll kill off the colt first...' he slightly shuddered at the thought. He would not hesitate to take him down if he even threatened the colt. He went and stood beside Kipcha and whispered into her ear. "Hey...keep an eye on Freebird for me, Hushabye's looking pretty greedy right now...don't let him alone with her." he said, glancing sideways at her with a serious look in his eyes. He then looked up, watching the winged stallion.

*Hushabye Glanced in Ghost's direction, he hadn't noticed that he had even moved and thought to himself, he'll never see it comming, I'm so innocent and timid in their eyes. He dipped his head down to graze just a bit more, a small tug here and there at the bountiful earth.*
*Freebird whinnied playfully as Ghost pointed out her youthfulness around Casper, the still small colt, though he had no grown quite a bit, his body less fat and confused and his actions sharper and his step more sure, he slowed and turned about, waiting for his mother to stop and let him nurse. Though it was getting to the point where the rapidly growing colt would no longer need his dam for nourishment, he had picked at grasses a little in the past, but found them to be nothing compared to what came from his dam, and protested when she pushed him away gently as he tried to nurse. Out of all his frusteration he uttered his first word* No!!
*Freebird stood in awe at this milestone and turned around to face the rest of the herd.* Did you hear!? He said no!!
