(ooc - I've not got a problem with it DestinyWish, stuff like that happens)

"Either way I'm famished." she heard Valerye say.
Jeni looked up and noticed the sky was darker than before.
"It may just be the trees, but it seems to be getting dark too. And the last time any of us ate was hours ago." she heard her stomach growl in response.
The fight had made many of them use precious energy, now they badly needed to replace it.

"Darker?" Valerye asked, looking up. Being in a forest didn't really help, but she soon found the sun in west, threatening to set. "This village is close, right?" she asked Jeni. "I hope Marael is right..."

((Okay, so, I'm good friends with Destinyswish, in real life. And since I've pretty much read the basics of what's happened, I think I'll start, if that's alright with everyone. If I missed something or if you all disagree just tell me and I guess I'll wait for Destiny's return.))

Twilight, Emmia's favorite time to prowl around the village and train. One of her most recent pass times was to hunt down the stray creatures of the night and test her skills against them. As the golden orbs of day sunk low in the sky, she went out into the painted forest to begin her training. She grabbed her blade staff that had been leaning against the wall of her small tree home where it had sat waiting for action all day. She smiled as she gripped the sturdy wood and carefully, silently made her way through the forest.
The night brought many odd sounds and mysterious creatures, and as the darkness intensified, so did the dreaded feeling that crept into ones heart when alone in these trees of magick. Not even in Bredia would one be safe from the shadows that prowled the edges of the villages. But Emmiadora was used to the feeling and thrived on it. Using the fear to push her forward.
But tonight was different. The noises were off. She could here the faint whispers of voices with the most peculiar accents, who had loud obvious foot steps throug hthe underbrush. She crept stealthily closer until she finally spotted a large group heading back towards the village. They still had quite a walk before they would reach it. She kept to the shadows, her blade staff firm in hand and prepared to defend it's master if need be. 'Such odd creatures these are, what type of elf has such flat... round ears?' she thought as she gazed on, full of curiousity.

((Fine with me! Glad to have another elf about!))

"It's not that far." Marael reiterated for the group at the back. Being an elf, she could still hear them perfectly, as though they were standing next to her. She looked at the kids around her and gave an inward sigh. They looked tired and worn out. She glanced up at the sky, wondering if they were going to have to stop and take a rest.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Gabe, who materialized at her side, his shoulders tense and his tail twitching. She looked down at him in a mixture of curiousity and worry. Something was following them.

"What is it, Gabe?" She whispered to the panther. He made no response, and Marael looked around the woods, trying not to alert the group. She didn't see anything. Her hand caressed a knife at her belt casually as they walked forward. As she looked around at her new companions, she prayed that it was an elf taking a walk or even patrols from the city. She wasn't sure if they could handle another fight with one of the forest's dangers.

((Woops. Sorry for not posting in a long time. I'm not sure if you guys even remember me. sweatdrop ))

Zachary sighed as he walked silently and slightly behind his schoolmates. He had been uncharacteristically quiet during all the events that had recently occurred, including the surprising battles. It wasn’t like he could do anything helpful for the group anyways – he was just too klutzy and apparently didn’t have a weapon handy unlike everyone else. “…It doesn’t really matter whether or not I’m here. I’m just taking up some extra space,” he muttered quietly to himself, frowning as he kicked a rock in his path.

Valerye was somewhat reassured at Marael's news. A shiver went down her spine, and Valerye's grip on her staff became harder. There was something else in the forest, watching them, and Valerye didn't like the feeling, especially if it was like another one of those creatures.

She stopped dead in her stalking croach as she heard the familiar voice of one of her own kind. The owner of the obviously elven voice stepped into view shortly after, and Emmia's curiousity heightened even more. A fellow elf was escorting these oddly-eared creatures. She gazed on at the peculiar sight until the panther appeared beside the elven girl in quite a state. Thinking she might have been discovered, Emmia pulled back, furthering her covering in the natural camouflage of the forest floor. Her keen orange-tented eyes swept over the group, examining each face and noting the weary look that lingered upon all of the foreigner's visage. If they posed a threat she knew it would be easy to take them all at once, but the elf, she could tell, would not be so simply taken care of. Though she wanted know why she would be helping these oddities.
Aching to take action, she moved through the forest until she was at the rear of the group, spotting one boy that was lagging behind. A mischevious grin spread across her face as she opted to have a bit of fun with them before revealing herself. She stuck out the end of her staff infront of the boy's feet and whipped it backwards, knocking his legs out from under him. Muffling her joy she silently tossed herself back, away from the group and started moving towards the front again.

((Hee hee, my character is a bit of a trouble-maker... just bear with me, I promise it'll get somewhere.))

((Ok, it's very small and not of too much significance, but would that not be considered an autohit? If roxora has no problem with it, please ignore this...I'm only pointing out, since some people don't take to that sort of thing, even if not in battle. Sorry, but being an RP guild master myself (different name) I can't help but point these things out.))

Luke noticed something strange all of a sudden...Gabe is no longer near him. Looking around, he finally notes Gabe is at the front of the party, with Marael...
...Hm...this can't be good...
Luke's hand slips to the hilt of his sword. In an instant, the look of fatigue leaves him. Come on, being the top fencer in the area, you've gotta be able to decieve opponents...even if you are tired. He continues walking, silently taking in every sound he can (which is not as much as an elf, but you get the idea). Every step he makes is planned out so that he can spring into defensive maneuvers at anytime, as his light golden-brown eyes scan the area.

Valerye noticed some other people starting to tense up as well. She hears a noise behind her, and turns around. Her eyes darted around, but the uneasy feeling started sinking lower in her chest. "Is something following us?" She asked no one in particular.

((Ah, yeah that's what I was worried about, but I was hoping to make him feel more included. But I didn't want to just have her staff hanging there, waiting for him to post and trip over it. It's alright, if you want, I could change that part. Just wanted to do something to taunt the group. sweatdrop ))

(yeah I'm gonna wait for the reaction too, but I'll still post something that won't affect the result)

Jeni looked round quickly, she felt odd, like earlier,
"Something's here." she said quietly, taking a more aggressive stance.
She checked to see where all the others were and spotted Zachary had fallen a little way behind.
"Hey Zachary, hurry up, we don't want anyone to get separated!" she called out, moving towards her classmate
