Dorune smiled, "A pleasure to make your aquaintance, Miss Alex. You may refer to me, humbly, as Dorune," he then bowed with a flourish, deeply. He stood again slowly, smiling at her and looking into her eyes. Go get Zachary, Dorune, and stop staring at the pretty girl, the dry voice in his mind said humorously. "That is a very beautiful ferret that accompanies you, miss. We shall get aquainted in a moment, friend beast," Dorune said, looking at Oak, "I must go gather one of our other members. Excuse me." Dorune made his way over to where Zachary stood then.

heart <(''<) <( '' )> (>'')> heart Dancing... Alex smiled a little when Dorune commented on Oak. 'Hear tha', friend? He thinks yer beautiful.' She said quietly to Oak. Oak clambered to her arm. 'Yes, but that woman there isn't comfortable with me all that much.' She chattered comically to Alex, her black eyes looked up at her friend. "Kry, was it?" She looked at the woman. "Y'needn't worry about Oak here. She be as gentle as a flower." Alex tried to smile as warmly as possible. Kry smiled. "That's good to hear. It's just... animals don't seem to like me too much, that's all. I hope I didn't put your friend, Oak, in any... er, discomfort." She was filled with relief that Oak wouldn't... say, bite her? Not that she was afraid of animals, the majority just tended to run away, or bite her. Kry absentmindedly fingered her forearm, where she was bit by a rather frisky horse. There is only hitsuzen

Zachary looked up from his glass to Dorune, who had quietly approached him. He gave a slight start at seeing the man so close without Zachary's own notice.
"Yes?" he said, tilting his head slightly.

Dorune looked at Zachary, "What're you doing over here, Zachary? Is something bothering you?" Dorune lifted his ale cup to his lips and took a small sip and looked into the man's eyes. Make connections quickly, Dorune. You must be leaving before the hour is out, the voice in his head popped in urgently. Dorune nodded slightly, but caught himself. He then returned his attention to Zachary and waited for his response.

Zachary raised an eyebrow at Dorune's seemingly inexplicable nod, before saying,
"Nothing's bothering me. I just don't need to hear the same explanations over and over again." He smiled slightly. "All I need to know right now is that we're going on an expedition, and that we need to stop something big from happening."

Dorune nodded slowly, "Thats a very condensed way to put it, but accurate nonetheless," Dorune set his drink down and leaned back against the wall, "I wonder how this will turn out for all of us, you know? Ashran, the country of mysteries..." Dorune smiled to himself and looked back to Zachary, "So what drew you here? Just the wanderlust, or what?"

After Zachary drained his glass, he turned to Dorune and said,
"Not exactly. I... I can't really explain it. That is, without you thinking I'm entirely insane." He smirked. "So, what's so mysterious about Ashran?"

Dorune nodded, "Aye, I understand that. There may be things about me that may make you think that I am not right in the head." He smiled and shook his head and then lifted up his ale to his lips and took a sip. He let Zachary's question sink in for a moment before answering, "Ashran, the nation of mysteries..." Dorune mused, "there are many tales about that land. The most prominent, known to be mostly true, is that no one has ever gone in or out of the nation within recorded history, that the rest of the world knows about."

Zachary, refraining from ordering another ale, soaked up this information.
"That's... odd," was all he could think to say at the moment. "So, I suppose it's dangerous?" There was excitement in his voice as he turned to a man down the bar that had been gazing at him. Catching his eye, the man winked. Zachary smiled and winked back.

Dorune laughed openly, "Aye, dangerous may be the right word." Dorune witnessed the wink passing between the two men and nodded to himself, with a slight smile. "Well Zachary, do you think it might be wise to go and join the group for a moment? We need to introduce you to our newest member." Dorune smiled and grabbed Zachary by the wrist, lightly pulling him towards the rest of the group.

Reluctant to part company (at least for the moment) with the attractive gentleman at the opposite end of the bar, Zachary let Dorune lead him back to the group to be introduced to the newest member. Hopefully, this party wouldn't get too much larger; he was already forgetting names. And what of this old man called "Time?" He was an enigmatic fellow....

 heart Alex saw the man called Dorune bring over another man. Oak had moved to her bag that was still slung over her shoulder. She shifted her weight and smiled. "'Ello. I'm Alex. Y'must be another member o' this fine group we've got goin' on 'ere." She shifter her bag and forced Oak back out again, she wouldn't be leaving her to hang. "An' this here be Oak." The ferret didn't look to happy about having to come back out of her sanctuary. 'You didn't have to move so roughly' Alex just smirked. heart

There are no such things as coincidence.Kry was about to order another wine when Dorune and Zachary came back to the table. "How lovely for you to rejoin us." She said, brushing the hair from her eyes. Kry wondered how many more people would be join the, ah, journey to Ashran. She was eager to go, and had a difficult time keeping her fingers still. They itched to be pickpocketing, or picking locks. Kry sighed and stretched. Hopefully not too many more people, or she'd be mistrusted in a flash. There is only hitsuzen

Zachary smiled and waved slightly, instantly taking a liking to the ferret called Oak. He had always thought they were adorable animals, and had always wanted a travelling companion. Maybe he'd find one on the way...
As he let the ferret sniff his hand, he addressed the group.
"Hello," he said kindly. "For those of you just joining, My name is Zachary. And I think I'm just as eager to get out of here as you are," he added, noting the slight twitch in the other girl's fingers.
