((OKAY! POSTIES NOW!!))
Dash laughed lightly at Amleth's nervousness, but focused on the more interesting of what was going on. Dragon and Lok seemed to have decided to stay. Sally was happy, but Amleth seemed more than just a little wary. Dragon, of course, seemed a bit on edge too, but who wouldn't, when the one who killed you countless times was sitting just a few feet away?
It had been a long day.
Lok was busy grumping about Sally's overzealous welcome, but there was something about it that made Dash smile. As much as the wolf hated it, he really did enjoy knowing that they did want him around. Sally had even thought to get him a steak, as she said she did.
"I know this is a nice little reuinion," Dash said lightly, covering a yawn with the back of his hand, "But it's been a long day, and it's time we all rested... As Red said, we can take a look at that beanstalk tomorrow... Perhaps on our way to wherever we're going, we can help a few people out... They all look sullen here. Maybe we can fix that." Ach, his Princeyness was showing.
That said, he slid into his own bed (Red's suggestion the girls sleep together couldn't be ignored, and so he figured that Dragon would indeed take up her offer) and tugged the covers up to his ears. Before anyone could protest to his sleeping idea, he was doing just that.
((Haha someone can make it morning. <3 And I apologize for this CRAPTASTIC post... Ahh *tugs at hair*))

((Sorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorry.))
Amleth let out a yelp as Lok taunted him, the squawk truly resembling a pig's squeal. "Pleasestopthat we'retryingtochangeandIwishyouwouldstopbecauseit'sscary andifyoucamebackthatmeansyouhavetobegoodnowsodon'tdothat Idon'twanttodie." As hard as the fat man tried to accept the Wolf's company for Sally's sake, the fact that Lok had yet to show any real proof of being a good person was making trusting him an impossible feat for the pig.
But before he could truly ascend to a state of pure fear, Sally bounced to him and grasped his hands, positively beaming with glee and seeming ready to explode from her sudden burst of energy. Amleth managed to force a smile that looked more like a grimace, or like he was about to cry. "Y-yeah, y-you knew it. It's... it's a-all g-good now." He gulped as Sally gave Lok a doggie bag. "We'll...we'll have lots of f-fun n-now," he mumbled.
Sally asked the Dragon to share the bed with her, and the Pigman made the tiniest noise of protest. He honestly had no true reason to dislike the newcomer, besides for the stories he had heard, but the idea of a powerful, man-eating creature sleeping in the mattress next to him filled him with apprehension. She claimed to be breaking away from her story as well, so perhaps she was a nice dragon, but...
As the party was brought to a slow, Amleth made a squeaky grunt and pulled his blanket back up without another word. He doubted he'd get much sleep that night, but he had the feeling he'd need as much energy as possible to get through the upcoming days.

((...hahahaha, Oh Amaleth :9))
Lok made an rather half startled expression half annoyed one as he was hugged quite firmly about his chest. "Wha... what ARE you doing?!" He growled at her, arms high above his head as though touching her would have completed the hugging process and thus would have made him something less of a man...er... wolf. Something... either way he didn't like it.
"Bah!" He said when he was finally released, a bit red in the face at how enthused she was about him being there. He found it horribly embarassing. He rubbed at his face miserably. "Stooop... enooough already!" He moaned, but his failing mood was improved easily by the offering of a fine steak.
Lok gave the pig a look as he sat on the floor, pulling the basket into his lap. He only laughed at Amaleth's hurried words; a cruel barking laugh. It was usually the sound he made when he was pleased. "No worries, swine." He said while unwrapping his meal. "Your brothers were always much plumper than you anyway... you're like the runt, am I right?" He grinned a mouth full of sharp teeth and in a rather grotesque show of manners gulped down his meal like any wold wolf... in a very, very gross way and with his claws and teeth.
That done everyone seemed to like the idea of sleeping. Lok shrugged his shoulders and wiped off his mouth. "Whatever you say, Percy..." He replied, though he didn't much like the idea of helping anyone but himself.
With that said he glanced at his own bed. He frowned at it. He didn't much like beds, but Sally didn't want anyone sleeping on the floor. His frown deepened. The last thing he needed was her upset.. AGAIN. So, with a sigh, the wolf crawled ontop of his comforter, circled a few times, and lay curled up by his pillow. Lok then lightly shut his eyes and waited for sleep.

((I'm gonna go ahead and post before I try finishing this painting I started like a month ago. D: ))
Sally was quite pleased now. Everything was better than she could have imagined. As Dash began to go to bed she realized how exhausted she was made a hop-skip onto the bed, bouncing a bit on the mattress before scrambling underneath and giggling.
"We're all having a slumber party. I never had a slumber party before! Let's play truth or dare!" But as she looked around with excited eyes, Dash was trying to sleep and Amleth had disappeared under the covers. Even Lok had curled up in bed...which made her smirk even more. He looked cute curled up like a little puppy. She would have gone over and rubbed his ears just to tease him, instead she just whimpered mockingly, if he wasn't asleep he would hear. "I just want to go over there and cuddle you." She said in her most sing-song voice. She moved onto her side and left room for the dragon to take her spot beside her. She pulled the covers up to her waist and hugged the pillow as she drifted off to sleep easily.
That morning she was the first to awake, as usual. She was a morning bird. All the energetic ones tend to be morning people. Deciding to maybe go out and get some clothes for her friends and breakfast, she crawled out of bed, hardly making any noise. Her hands easily slipped into the pouch Dash kept his money and took it all. She'd pay him back. She knew ways to make money. What else would he spend it on? He could probably get everything free just by winking at some woman anyways. This made her roll her eyes as she pulled on her black sandals.
Without another word she watched the group in the doorway, they all looked so peaceful. It made her happy. She had such good friends. They all were special in their own ways, each one could make her grin without knowing it. She was being sappy, sure...but it was the honest truth. After a second glance to make sure everyone was peaceful, she closed the door and sneaked out of the inn.
((Taking it upon myself to bring in my witch...and maybe get something going...I dunno. I'm thinking she could be a bad guy...not join the group or whatever. So if you guys want me to do something with her...let me know. I guess. XD ))
It was still a bit gloomy outside. A few rays of the rising sun making streaks on the sidewalks. The birds chirped, if but a bit less enthusiastically than they did in her woods. The first thing on the list was clothes, no one should wear the same clothes from the stories they were running away from right? She ended up snatching herself some baggy shorts, made for men, and then a fitting top. For the rest she found pants and shirts, all that she thought would look good on each of them. It was as she was looking for some food to fill her basket with that she noticed a gorgeous woman watching her in the distance. Her long white hair caught Sally's eye and she gawked for a moment.
Danger pricked her stomach, telling her to leave and bring the food and clothes back. They wouldn't be up until an hour or so right? What would hurt? Naivety brought her closer to the cold air around this woman, entranced by some sort of scent and sight, something she couldn't place her hand on. Goose bumps rose on her legs and arms, causing her to tug the clothes and her cloak close to her chest.
"You're alone." Came a beautiful silky response to Sally's staring and wandering towards this person. "Too easy."
"You're very pretty...do you happen to know a place that sells good bread and fruit?" Sally asked, not hearing the 'too easy'. "Oh...is this your story? My name's Red...well Sally..."
"Little Red Riding Hood." A smirk made it's way on porcelain skin and she moved close to the younger woman. "I heard you the most naive girl in all stories. One down four to go."
((Hopefully that works. XD ))

((So sorry about not being present the last few days >.< It makes me cry that I couldn't get on the internet. I've been spending the last few days packing for college. I was in WV for a little while, my last family trip for the summer. I tried to do dial up, but my computer kept calling the stupid house phone stare
Anyway, mmm... Glad you didn't really wait, I had no way to tell you this cause the friend I normally ask to was with me... *cough* at the moment I don't have time to post, running out the door to drop my car off at Sears for a last minute brake inspection. I'll post before I leave for Morgantown though, if my dad will let me. I'm hiding from him right now >.>
The next few days my replies will most likely be sparce, I start college Monday and I have all these gay Residence Hall meetings to attend this weekend. I will try after today, but no guarantees, so don't wait up alright? Things should quiet down once I settle in a bit.))

((Hahaha, forget you guys, okay? *posts just to get things moving for everyone elseee* SLACKERS!!!... *one to talk*))
Lok had growled at Sally's mocking words before finally drifting to sleep.
The wolf had always been a bit of a heavy sleeper, though he'd never admit to it. Who had ever heard of a perfect predator being a heavy sleeper? No one, that's who. Though, despite this, he had always and would always sleep in until something of interest stirred him into wakefulness, or if the sun got in his eyes. In this case, the sun go in his eyes.
Lok gave an irratated growl, a low and dry rumbling in the back of his throat. He threw an arm over his eyes and rolled over onto his back. "Stupid sun..." He slurred, slowly opening his eyes to irratibly greet the morning. The morning responded by cheerful shining more lemony sunlight through the window.
Lok gave another grimacing snarl and rose up into a sitting position. The moment he sat up he knew something was missing. He tilted his head and looked about the room seeing only lumps beneath blankets and hearing only the sigh of sleepers' breathing. He frowned, wondering why he felt as if anything was missing at all.
Lok squinted into the sunlight for a moment before it hit him. He jerked his head towards Sally bed.
Where as the goddamned annoyingly cheerful goodmorning?
She was gone.
Lok leapt from his bed and poked around her blanket. By the smell of it she hadn't been gone too long, but growled. She shouldn't have gone off on her own a place she didn't know. What was WRONG IN HER HEAD?
Lok stomped over to the prince's bed and shook him violently awake. "This is more your territory! Where the hell is Sally?!"

((Haha sorry guys... I suck. The end. No excuses this time. Le blah.))
The Prince had slept quite peacefully that night, as Princes are supposed to do. He dreamed his familliar dreams, laying peacefully on his back, as was the proper way to sleep. The strange thing was, really, that the kiss of sunlight on his face DIDN'T wake him up as it did normally. No, he slept on, perhaps wishing to escape for just a little longer the world in which he lived.
Sure, he'd left his stories, took along with him people who wished the same... But even with these people, he felt... distant. The lone hero (Hah, funny the saying is Lone Wolf, isn't it?), destined to be loved, but that's where the stories always ended, isn't it? The hero or prince or saviour and the princess fall in love, and live happily ever after... But that's where the story ends, and thus begins. He never got to live happily ever after. After the kiss, he simply woke up at the beginning of the story again, playing out his part until it started again.
Perhaps he didn't want to wake up to another story. Perhaps he wanted to wake up to something new; something different. Something he wasn't expecting, and would perhaps enjoy being in... Yeah. his own story. One he didn't follow, but a story he CREATED, a story that didn't have to end and start over and over and over again.
What he DID wake up to was a very violent shaking and a snarling face hovering over his. Percy sat up so quickly he knocked heads with Lok, then fell back onto his pillow again, clutching at his forehead. "Owww..." Yeah, that was probably going to bruise. "Sally?" He inquired, sitting up more carefully this time, and taking a gander about the room. She was indeed gone. "I don't know, my good Lok..." He frowned, it seemed rather wrong, didn't it?
His frown turned into a bemused smile, and he caught Lok's intense gaze with his own troubled blue one. "My hero senses are tingling. Something's amiss..." That said, he quietly climbed out of bed, quickly donning his clothes and buckling his sword to his side. Once his cape was securely fastened around his neck and his boots buckled (an effort that took hardly a minute), he turned toward Lok again, his frown having returned. "I don't like this..." Dash, however, wasn't sure if he should wake the others or not. He didn't want to admit it, but Amleth probably wasn't much help in the way of rescues, and he still didn't really trust Dragon...
"She's probably just out at the market..." He bit his bottom lip. Still, he felt that familliar twinge of unease that always came before an encounter of some sort... An encounter or fight or meeting with someone that was the start to a long and dangerous story. "Let's go find her."
With that decision made, he scribbled a note (in sickeningly perfect hand) telling the others of their whereabouts, and quickly strode out of the room, wondering why his coin purse felt so very light. In fact, upon further inspection, he realized it was empty. Showing this to Lok as they exited the Inn, he gave a shrug, "My guess is that she took it upon herself to gather some things for us perhaps?" He held it out for Lok to take a bit of a sniff. "Has she been in it?" It was odd... Working WITH the wolf, and not to thwart him.
((Haha there, I POSTED and it's LONGISH. Yeah. That's RIGHT. SO THERE. And the others... *thinkles* haha I figure Amleth can wake up and be like: OMG WHUT? Or something... Haha since Dash didn't wanna wake him up and freak him out... Poor Amleth. *rubs his head*))

Amleth was an early bird.
He always had been. It was for the sake of his house, mostly; working before the sun got too high in the sky was the smartest method. Then, on the days after he finished his house, he would wake up early anyway--partially due to habit, but mostly because his knowledge that a hungry creature would try to kill him soon didn't let him sleep particularly well.
Perhaps it had been the muted clinking of coins that had roused him from his sleep. Maybe it was the tiny little 'thump' that every door makes when it closes, no matter how carefully it is shut. Or it could have just been the work of his natural circadian rhythm. No matter the cause, Amleth awoke mere moments after Sally's departure.
Eyes still half-closed and blurred from sleep, the Pigman knew that something was wrong. The musty smell of straw was weaker than usual. Chirping birds were muted, as though heard through a solid wall. There was something not quite as natural in his surroundings as he had recalled.
As his brain started to click into place, he came to realize he was very much not in his square of straw-covered construction. He was quite far away, in a building made of wood and brick, which was also not his brother's. There were other people in the room, many of whom he had never met more than twenty-four hours ago, and one of which had been intent on killing him for as long as he could remember. He was not at home. With a heaping of luck, he would never be home again.
This knowledge reacquainted itself with him, and he began a panicked reflection over whether or not he should really do this. Two of these people were bad guys. The person he'd really connected to had some evidence of being crazy. He didn't know what he was doing or where he would go or what would happen because of it.
Amleth was scared. Not the scared that he felt as Lok chased him to his brother's house; that was a sort of resigned fear, wherein he knew exactly what would happen, and who would get the real pain in the end. In his story, everything was set in stone, and though it was frightening, there was never any real danger. Now, there was nothing written that said he would get out of it in one piece. He could very well die. And not come back.
As he sifted through these thoughts, he was vaguely aware of others awaking behind him. Lok was growling about something. There was a brief scuffle, and Dash mumbled something. Amleth realized he should sit up, talk to them--Dash or Sally could maybe soothe his fears... though, the Wolf, of course, would shoot him down, as well he should, Amleth had no right being with these people really...
He heard them get up, muttering worriedly to one another. He didn't hear the content of the conversation, he was too caught up in his own thoughts. Convincing himself to sit up finally, he caught sight of the door closing behind them. The pig gawked, looked about the room, and found himself alone with the Dragon. He squeaked. "Ahm," he murmured. "Dr...Dragon... Dragonyoushouldwakeupbecauseeveryone'sgoneandI'mgoingtogotookaybye." He then scrambled out of bed and out the door, shutting the door behind him. She didn't seem too unkind, so it seemed wrong to leave her alone without warning, but there was no doubt that she scared him.
He caught sight of the two men walking down the hallway. Biting his lip and wondering if he was really welcome to join the two, he chased after. "Sorry I dunno if I should come with you but I kind of don't know where I should really be and I should maybe just go home but I dunno and you two were just leaving so I'm sorry if I should stay back but the Dragon kind of scares me and wait where's Sally."
((Lots of nothing! Woooo.))
