"This city was the biggest in the U.S.A.," Plasma said still glancing at his power ring. It was still glowing, much to his relief. "It was called Metropolis. The home of the multi-billionaire death merchant, Lex Luthor. The same man that your friend Doom ran off with. This was also the surrogate home of the chairman of the League, Superman..." Plasma was still in a state of shock over the loss of Superman. That's all he could imagine, seeing as how the Manhunter told him he wasn't on the scope of remaining heroes.
"As for cities getting used to it, I doubt it. I'm imagining my home of Star City is going somewhat haywire, but Gotham, on the other hand," Plasma said, "That is of course, if they're still there." Plasma looked up at the young woman he was addressing and realized he didn't make the proper acquaintance.
"Ceres, I presume?," he said, "I'm Plasma. Or as others call me, the Lan..." His attention was distracted as he saw the blonde woman actually hit a working television station. "Stop right there!"
As he watched, he saw a familiar newscaster on a familiar network. It was based out of his hometown, and he felt a wave of relief wash over him. If the city was still standing, perhaps his son was there. He couldn't share the news with the Arrow as he went to the Watchtower along with some of the others. But the more he thought about it, the more he knew they needed to disperse.
"Plasma here. Guys, we need to get out across the country and even the world to try and get everything back in order again," Plasma said, knowing that this was probably the right idea for them. As he said that, he hit the communications unit in his ear and used an open frequency: "To all Justice League members still planetside. If you see some place, somewhere, anywhere you are near, take care of the situation. Calm the people. No casualties." To his surprise, he got one response.
"Roger, Plasma," Question said, "Huntress and I are in Gotham and this place is chaos. Any and all available members should report if at all possible."
"Copy. Over and out," Plasma replied before turning to face the assembled cadre of Avengers and Justice League members. "Everyone, there's chaos in Gotham. We need to go there first. Two friends are in over their heads."

Forellen had opted to stay on the ground. "Welcome to our little corner of the asylum." She said dryly tucking a strand of hair out of her face while she watched Ceres and Ms. Marvel fuss with the computers. "And to think the theme of two of my books centered around something similar to this." She said and shook her head. "Maybe I had a vision of this..." She was just joking a bit. She looked at Plasma. "Gothem?" She asked and shook her head. "Your equivilint to our city never mind...this is going to take a little getting used to...." She said calmly.

Mind Freak used the WatchTower to get to Gotham after it transported some of the Avengers and the JL to it for doing its namesake. He appeared right where he didn't want to be; between a line of riot police and scared citizens acting on mob impulse. His sudden appearance caused the mob that was about to break to do just that.
It instantly became violent as a means to protect itself in a world that it didn't understand. It didn't like the feeling of having the universe stretched and then snapped back into place like a rubber band. It knew what was best, and what was best was to lash out at everything that wasn't it. Cars, buildings, the police.
Mind Freak had to quickly high-tail it out of there, as the tear gas started going, but once he was in an alley, he starting to formulate his plan. First, he had to get to absolute safety, that meant going up the fire escape and getting onto the roof of the building he was next to. Once he was on top, he looked down and saw the mob was pressing forward uniformly. The fact that it was a mob made it very easy. Being a mob, Mind Freak would only have to effect the ring leader and a few of the other more active people in it to gain control of the whole. The hard part was not making them more fearful, he'd have to make the fear go away, which wasn't his strong suit. Maybe if he made it seem super heros had shown up.
The mob was raging against the police, the tear gas did nothing to it, that was until two f-22's flew past them, only 20 feet over head, their sonic signature stopping everything. Then an apache helicopter landed and outstepped a marine in full uniform with a loudspeaker who kept the mob in order with that charismatic glare you can only get after killing someone first hand. "Citizens of Gotham. Go back to your homes. The situation is under control. There is nothing to be gained by taking action into your own hands. The Marines and National Guard of the U.S. of A are here to keep this city in one peace."
And instantly the mob lost its momentum. It was just reassured that everything was right. Some of the people in it, most actually, were at loss of why they knew that, as nothing had happened, but they felt what the mob felt, and that was nothing as the mob was dispersing.

The amounts of information starting to go through her head were really becoming overwhelming. "Gothem?" She asked, "Where is that located?"
"New York state, you know Statue of Liberty and all," TJ answered quickly. She knew her questions were only impeding progress. The mention of chaos amongst citizens made her superhero instinct kick in. Though, her words made her go white.
Gothem... She looked back at the screen that Ms. Marvel had pulled up where a New York City news channel should have been. Instead it was Gothem City, "New York City is gone..."
"Yea, so is our Metropolis," One of the Justice League members said.
"No, it's bigger than that," She spoke, "Most of our country's super heroes lived in that city... these names will mean nothing to you but these people meant everything to this country when they needed heroes... Spider Man, our home base Avengers are gone, part of the X-Men were there..."
The words seems surreal. Heroes were gone.
"We're it people," She said to the Avengers who were present, "Doesn't matter if we're going into their cities or ours... Heroes are needed to stop this chaos. Our role hasn't changed, just the scenery."
"Let's follow Plasma's orders," She nodded to him giving her known support, "Let's go!"
Their worlds changed from Lex Luthor's base to chaos on the borders of the city. People from one world were clashing with people from another. It was understandable, but it was going to get them nowhere... somebody needed to get to the higher elected officials of the country to send out a message... or maybe if two known super heroes from each side could...

Ghost was teleported onto a building in the Gothem City and he looked down into the crowd he transformed into his ghost form and shouting with the strength that only a supernatural being can get he yelled, "EVERYONE CALM DOWN THE AVENGERS AND JUSTICE LEAGUE ARE HERE!!!!!" the shout bounced all around most of the city as if from a giant megaphone, "IF YOU WOULD ALL PLEASE CALM DOWN EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT THE HEROS ARE HERE!!!!"
He saw some people on the one side begin to panic from not knowing him but people on the other side seemed to lose some of the tension. "Just great i shoulda known some people would panic seeing me." He floated down to the side of people that where used to the avengers and said, "Alright lets calmly head back to where ever you came from alright weve got it under control." Some of the crowd slowly began to disperse but others where more adamant.

William was at a loss, he was getting wrapped up in something he didn't understand, but he was going to get through it. "I do believe that I am in far over my head for this, a more detailed account of what is going on is desperatly needed..." He sighs, then stares at his new surroundings. "However, I guess I can't sit idly by and and allow this sort of thing to happen..." Gel covers his body, forming armor as he moves to stand next to the others.

This city was so terribly strange. It had the grandeur of New York City and yet, it wasn't. It was Gothem City. It was something with new energy. People are people. They were like the people of the cities she knew, but they felt different to her for some reason. Maybe she only noticed it because she knew it to be true. She hit her Avengers comm that was still working,
"Captain America, you're known. You and Batman or somebody from over there need to get on the horn and tell the people across the country to stop panicking... that their heroes are here and we will watch out for them. It's going to be like this everywhere."
"Ceres, we're on it," Captain America said from the Watchtower presumably, "We're trying to get connected to as many World Leaders as will listen to us."
"Gotta go!" She ended signal as she caught smell of a building on fire. She could hear the crowd on the air currents. Yelling back to as many teammates as would listen, "RIOT! The people are looting and rioting down this way. It sounds like it is one block down. We gotta get the innocent people out of here and we have to stop the rioters. Ms. Marvel, Quicksilver start getting people out of there. I am going to try to stop the fires from spreading."
She didn't want to boss around the JLA members. They weren't here teammates really, nor did she have authority. Hell, she barely had any authority in the Avengers. She just was used to being the head honcho back in Niagara.
Trying to pick up the air currents as top speed, she found it to be difficult. The energies were not aligned with what she was used to. It was like her world knew her, was willing to bend with her. Here she had to force it to bend more so. But no time to worry about it really. Things were what they were and there were other people to be worrying about.
As she neared the beginning of the looting in one of the shopping districts, the stench of charring building started to fill the air. At least three buildings were on fire and the fire engines were having trouble getting through the swarms of people. Taking quick stock of her surroundings, she found a fire hydrant. Trying to draw strength from the fire nearby, she attempted to pry it open. She knew she could control the water once open. Unfortunate for her, the elements were still fighting her and she couldn't gain the strength she required.
"Damn it," She muttered to herself. Sweat bearing down on her, she mustered up everything to find the strength to complete her task. Grimmacing in pain, the general AAAAAHHHHRRRRGGGG cry to summon a last ditch effort at strength came from her body. Popping the lid off the hydrant, the water started gushing into the sky.
"There we go," she said tired and hushed. Putting her hands out in front of her, she closed her eyes for one moment. I know you do not know me, but you will do my will. I am one with the elements. I am one with you. Twisting her hands, she made the water take a streaming form and directed it towards the burning buildings.

Forellen was trying to make herself as useful as possible. She honestly hadn't a clue what to do in this situation. She couldn't really help with the fires so she left that to those who could. She couldn't help with the riot since who'd listen to her? So she went after the looters. She patrolled up and down residential streets having snagged a police radio from a helpful officer and now moved to keep the residents who were staying home to wait out what was happening safe from harm and she was surprised at how many home invasions she's responded too so far. Fortunately they all ended without harm. Many of the looters were not prepared to deal with a four hundred-pound grizzly bear in the middle of the city.
She paused a moment and took out the communicator. "Forellen here I think things in the residential area have settled down, I've seen a lot of people heading towards their homes and the number of home invasion and break in calls have dropped dramatically. So I'm available if anyone needs me." She called ready to fly off to help those who needed it.

As Geovani was ushering all the people that he could back to there homes he had reached the outskirts of the city and turned to see another mass of people heading towards him not the city him he looked at them strangley thinking they where rioters then he saw one of them walk THROUGH a telephone pole. They where spirits of people that had been killed in the crossover. Sevral of them where missing limbs probably taken from them when the worlds split it was a gruesome sight and when Geovani opened his mouth to say something one of them rushed him with inhuman speed it latched onto his arm and began drawing him into the afterlife more soon followed.
Geovani was panicking he quickly reverted back to human form and immediatley all of the spirits disapeared from his view he looked around and the few people on the streets seemed not to have noticed them. "They where after me..." was the only thought that he could muster as he activated the comm unit in his badge, "This is Ghost to the Justice League and the Avengers if there is anyone besides me with spiritual related powers i advise you watch out i think i was just attacked by spirits..." he let the last word trail off granted some had died that didnt mean all had, "I repeat i raise caution for anyone with spiritual powers they may target you if its possible when you see them deactivate your powers or run..." And with that he re-entered the city and began looking around and ending roberies only turning into his ghost form partially to avoid bullets or other random objects.
He continued to help while he waited for a reply over the comm from another team member of otherside.

As convincing a crowd to split and stay split up takes time, Shane was busy for a while. Once that particular crowd was gone. Shane looked around to see what he could possible due. And then it hit him. The Gotham Asylum. With the power grid hit by the world shift, the doors magnetic locks and all of the other safeguards would be on backup power. And that never lasts long. But not having the power of flight, Shane spoke up through his connection with the watch tower,
"We need to keep the inmates at the asylum on the outskirts of town locked up. It would be bad if they get a chance to break out and take advantage of the discord in the city."
It was amazing to watch. The presense of a whole slew of super heros and even unknown super heros had such a dramatic effect on the city. In Shane's section, he couldn't hear anymore rioting and the police were starting to fan out to protect business fronts.

While Plasma flew back over the over the Harbors, he saw that things were starting to become a bit more peaceful. Riots were quieting down, the home invasions were become shockingly less frequent, and the looting was at a near minimum for Gotham's standards. That was when he noticed some flames shoot high into the sky in the South Side business districts. So far, Plasma hadn't had much action at all. It seemed the sight of the Green Lantern was enough to send the lot of criminals running back to their hide-outs. He was rather welcome of this development.
Rushing his way to the scene, he saw the young woman Ceres struggling to fight the fires. Her strenuous screams told him alot. She wasn't ready for this, was one thought that went through his mind. He wasn't exactly sure what it was she did, but judging by what she was doing, she was some sort of water manipulator. While landing on the ground next to Ceres, he saw the blonde woman at Luthor's building helping citizens to saftey, as well as a silver-haired young man doing what he could to put out smaller fires, but the bigger flames seemed to be growing larger despite everyone's efforts.
"This should help," Plasma said to Ceres as he stood next to her and conjured up a pressurized device which would take the already highly pressured water and amplify it five fold. It'd help fight the fires, hopefully. He held the device there for a few minutes before noticing that the fires were growing in size and strength yet again.
"There's someone behind this," he said absently as he immediately took his mind off of the pressurizer and focused his ring for a search. It was tough looking throughout the masses of fire and flames, but he soon saw something... no, someone standing roughly five blocks northeast of his position. This someone was standing in the middle of a ring of fire, and was using a flamethrower to feed it all.
"Keep at what you're doing," Plasma said to Ceres, "I'm going to stop this at the source." As he finished his sentence, Plasma was already flying up and over the burning buildings. He covered the city blocks in a matter of seconds and was on top of the culprit in two seconds more.
"Hey!," Plasma yelled at the pyromaniac to get his attention. The crazy man mumbled something before turning around and aiming his flamethrower at Plasma. The firebug didn't have a chance as Plasma let loose a heavy bolt at the crazy man's face, knocking the loon out cold. Landing next to the unconscious criminal, Plasma took the the torch pack from him and hit his comm unit quickly. Without a second thought, he grabbed the criminal by the scruff of his neck and carried him back to where Ceres was still directing water to fight the fires.
"Should be done and over with now. Let the fire fighters do their jobs," Plasma said. "And I think this guy needs to be going back to his home in Arkham. The more Plasma looked at this guy, the more he realized this was one of Batman's foes; Firefly. With an unseen smirk, Plasma looked at Ceres for a second. "Care to visit the loony bin?"

Ceres was beyond frustrated with herself, but she chose to keep a stoic face and hide her internal struggle from any other hero. Didn't Tony Stark tell her she wore her emotions on her sleeve too often? She never had a very good poker face. The most damning thing about how she was feeling was that she was putting herself before her duty, and that alarmed her. It was always the people first, and her own well being second. I need to calm down; I will get a grip on this reality.
"The looney bin?" She arched an eyebrow at Plasma, "Wouldn't seem much different from the rest of the world at the moment. From the sounds of the rest of the heroes, it seems to be the place to go." She had been referring to Ghost and the one called Mind Freak, she thought. She had caught their communications on the air currents.
"Avengers, we're moving to a place called Arkham. It seems we need to make sure the criminally insane stay put." Ceres called through her comm to what was becoming her team. Damn you, Tony, you knew I'd fall into this roll... where are you... She started picking herself up into the air currents to gain her own flight movements. "Flying heroes, pick up a non flying hero. We need to move together for those who are not already at our destination." Ceres put an arm out to Shifter in case she wanted to tag a ride rather than transforming into a bird of some form. She also picked up Venin in her wake. Ms. Marvel made sure to carry any who needed assistance.
"Plasma, as unwelcomed as it may be to some, we need to make these two teams gel. We're in a world of chaos at the moment... the people need to know somebody, especially the ones they look up to, have order." Ceres said while they were transporting their prisoner. Of course, she didn't want the prisoner to hear anything so she warped the air currents around the man so he couldn't hear their voices carry. She could feel her control over the elements of this other reality start to gain strength. It was like her body just had to adjust to a new energy, a new frequency.
She wanted to discuss more, but that wouldn't be prudent in front of an enemy. One slip of the air currents she was forcing around and he could gain information that was useful against the team. There would be time for that. She had a feeling this road would be a long one that they were all walking.
As they neared their destination, she could see it on an island that looked as dark, sinister, and gloomy as probably some of the prisoners of the building. The earth's energy around it had a very dark feeling to it that she couldn't help shiver as she felt it. Her eyes started turning from their crystal blue to a darken black to reflect the change.
"This place is evil," She said bluntly to nobody in particular. Caution was needed here. This type of environment were the ones that had potential to make her lose her own control. At least she was aware of it. She knew that the will of the energies around her could bend her as she easy can bend them. Pressing her lips together, she lowered herself and the teammates she was carrying to the ground. With a hint of smugness, she looked at the menacing prison. She had that 'just try it' look on her face.
"I know enough to know that the quiet is not always reassuring," She said to Plasma and then nodded to the rest of her team, "Let's bring our prisoner home then."

Forellen had just arrived to the scene of the fire to see if she could help out. It seemed however that Plasma had taken care of the source of the fire. A fire bug who was out for a good time. Thank God it hadn't had a chance to really spread. "Arkham Assylum?" Forellen asked almost unnecessarily. "Oh no thank you." She said to Ceres when she offered the free ride and shifted into the form of a falcon taking off after them. A free ride was nice but she didn't want to impose. Besides she'd memorize the area better if she flew along with them then if she was a passenger.
When they got to the place Forellen had to suppress a shiver. She didn't land with the team and instead did an aerial sweep of the area using her now sharp eyes to see if she can spot anyone creeping around the grounds. A moment later she landed with the team. "I didn't see anyone around the grounds but there were a few people up on the roof. A few stocky people and one rather short round fellow in a top hat." She said shifting back and looking at the building the top hat had stood out as odd to her. Who wore a top hat in an asylum? "I don't like the feel of this place..." She said absently shivering.

There was a loud wail from inside one of the doors and Ghost whizzed out chasing down two prisoners who had terror written into everyone of there moves as Ghost grabbed the first one and threw him infront of the second one he took a seat on the two who where now lieing in a pile 1 dazed the other to scared to move.
"Welcome to the Arkham Asylum home to many bad guys and evil people that reside here." He said in his ghostly tone before picking the people up and with a woosh disapeared back into the asylum sealing them back in 2 cells whether they where there cells or not he used his green energy to recharge the magnetic lights.
He then headed to The power Generator and using his spectral energy he charged it with the equivilent of 10000 volts causing it to pur back to life(Its comic book Science at its finest smile ) causing the lights to turn on and security cameras to reactivate bringing light back to this place.
