Ah...you can look back in the thread or...here it is: And don't worry about not knowing - no one else knew either. sweatdrop Yours is Valinor.Quote: Inland Sea of Helcar Quote: Formed from a Vala's wrath- the end of an era When Morgoth destroyed the Two Lamps, Illiun and Ormal, he "cast down their pillars." The pillars were made of ice. Now, the pillar of Illiun was called Helcar, and when it was cast down it melted and formed the Sea of Helcar. Thus ended the Age of the Lamps. Quote: Yet the birthplace of that Vala's hate- the beginning of a new age One of the bays of the Sea of Helcar was Cuiviénen, which is where the elves first awoke. As is stated in the preface to The Silmarillion, which was written by Tokien, that "...the Elves...were peculiarly his [Morgoth's] enemies, and the special object of his desire and hate..." The awakening of the elves was the beginning of the Age of Stars. The name of the Sea of Helcar was taken from the pillar of Illiun, and therefore is not its own name, but belonged to something else before.

-catches answer again- Me: You shall not pass! Answer: Meep! And the answer is...
The Elf-maiden NellasQuote: Through the sighing trees I watched you and I taught you. Unfinished Tales In the years of his childhood in the kingdom of Doriath Túrin was watched over by Melian, though he saw her seldom. But there was a maiden named Nellas, who lived in the woods; and at Melian's bidding she would follow Túrin if he strayed in the forest, and often she met him there, as if it were by chance. From Nellas, Túrin learned much concerning the ways and the wild things of Doriath, and she taught him to speak the Sindarin tongue after the manner of the ancient realm, older, and more courteous, and richer in beautiful words. Quote: Under the roof of stone I spoke for you and I cried for you. When Túrin ran away after Saeros fell to his death, Thingol conducted a trial. Just as he was about to exile Túrin for his deeds, Beleg led Nellas in and she told of what she had seen, which led to Túrin's pardon. "But when the doom was pronounced, suddenly Nellas wept. 'Where can he be found?' she said. 'He has left our land, and the world is wide.'"Quote: But we shall never see each other again. They, um, never saw each other again.
Anyone else can go after me.
