The boy's smile didn't fool Axel for a moment. Diving once more as the youth began making his escape, the elder swiftly swam along the wall until he found the edge. Darting past it, he surfaced and gave chase, his long, powerful strokes taking him ever closer to the fleeing sitarist.

With the way Demyx was starting to veer in his direction, Kaleb once again headed away from shore to loop around and keep his distance for when the musician came after him again. He was only a little nervous again when his feet left the sandy bottom, but he was pretty sure he could safely paddle back to shallower water. Even if it was awkward keeping his wings in the air.
He grinned as he swam, it looked like Axel was catching up, and Demyx would be on his tail shortly.

Demyx could have easily outswam Axel, or at least used the water to push himself just out of the other's reach. But then again, what kind of game of tag would that be? Grinning to himself, the boy slowed down enough to allow the other to catch up to him. Once tagged, he'd certainly make a beeline for the little mage, but he'd at least swim slow enough to let Kaleb lead him on for a bit.

Surging ahead, the elder nabbed the boy's tail, giving it a gentle tug. "Got'cha!" he chuckled, already backpedalling to a safe distance.

Kaleb's ears perked as he heard Axel tag Demyx, and he put more effort into paddling ahead. He was already counting in his head to see just how fast Demyx would swim after him.

Tail tugged, Demyx swiftly turned and swam off after the little mage. He was good about letting the other lead him on for a bit, just to make the game a bit more fun, but eventually he had to catch up to the other. Grinning, the sitarist tagged Kaleb's leg, and dove under water to swim away from the new 'it'.

Axel tredded water not far from shore, watching the pair. It was...kinda cute, Demyx letting his friend lead him on when he could've easily tagged the poor boy. It was obvious Kaleb wasn't very comfortable in water....so maybe a different game was in order. Diving beneath the murky waters once more, the red-head swam towards his companions, hoping to go unnoticed.

Even though he had been expecting it, Demyx swam quietly enough that Kaleb was badly startled when he finally felt the touch on his leg. He was startled right out of his paddling rhythm and ended up with a mouth and nose full of water. If he were any better at swimming that wouldn't have been a problem, but in his panic he flapped his wings and ended up dropping them into the water. He could only panic worse as the sodden wings quickly hindered his swimming.

Underwater, Demyx was, at first, unaware of his friend's little dilemma. The sitarist swam a short distance away before popping back up to the surface once more. From there, he was able to hear the splashing caused by Kaleb as he paniced.
"K-kaleb? ...You okay?"
Turning, Demyx watched his friend, eyes filled with worry.

Unaware of what had happened, the red-head swam over to the pair. Pressing his body against the sandy floor, he slipped beneath Kaleb's feet and shot to the surface, securing the boy on his shoulders as he went. "Who wants to play chicken?" Axel grinned, shaking a bit of water from his dripping fur.

Kaleb was completely sure he would drown before he found himself so suddenly rescued. He could do nothing but splutter and cough as he clung to Axel's head for balance. Even after he could draw breath, he couldn't seem to speak up as he trembled and tried to keep his soaked wings from pulling him right off the redhead's shoulders.

O...kay... Well, at least Kaleb was okay. Relieved that the mage wouldn't...drown, or something, Demyx was free to join in the new game.
"I DO!!"
Now, normally one would require a partner to play chicken. However, no partner was needed if one could control the water itself. Grinning, the sitarist manipulated the ocean beneath him to rise up to match Kaleb's new height.

"..Ready partner?" Axel smiled up at the little magician, seemingly unaware of his sputtering. The elder shifted slightly to accomodate the unxpected weight of the boy's damp wings. Balance was one of the key elements in this game afterall...

"R-ready for what?" Kaleb finally asked. Feeling Axel shift slightly under him made the little mage whimper and cling a bit more. He tried to pull his wings up so he could balance better, but they were too heavy so he gave up and left them.

"Ready to play of course!"
Fully relaxed on his pillar of water, the angelic waited for the other two to be ready to play the game.
