rejiji! you crazy ********! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!
why am i such an incoherent nut when i'm replying to the cotton candy submissions? i think pink makes me dumber.
I'm in love, as usual, with your design. I love the different fabric textures and the whole deconstructed look of it. Her pose is adorable! You did a really good job mixing different patterns together! And the different flowers. Is it cherry blossoms on the torso; a lotus on her hair; carnations in her purse; and sunflowers on the hemline? If that's the case, haha I love how half the flower choices are like super Asian and the other half are super American.
Seriously, you should get into fashion. You should hook up with someone that isn't that creative when it comes to coming up with a concept, but can sew like it's nobody's business and create this elite, unstoppable design team. You can be the next Dolce & Gabanna.. the next Heatherette.. the next Proenza Schouler. Omg, can't Kayo sew?! AWWWWW COUPLES DESIGN TEAM AWWWWW. Except the design teams I named above are gay guys. So Kayo needs to become a man. Oh wait! Kate and Andy Spade are hetero! Aww you guys can be the next Kate and Andy Spade <3<3<3.
I'll stop now..

Sporkii- sooooo cute! and your the only one that can make a damn squid look cute. Your over all eye for composition and flow is becoming stronger than ever, very nice.
Fetus - so glad you decided to post! hrmm wonder if your still using a mouse, if you are, your freakin nuts. Always a fan of your style and exageration, im really enjoying your colors here too.
Rejean- completely owned it up man! you really put some extra effort points in this to make this look pro, excellent job on design and rendering as well. so many things you could of pussed out on but didnt (unlike me) hats off my freind, kick a** job!
.......as for me, theres no design in this at all whatsoever, it just became an experiment with brushes and strokes, it actually looks pretty gay, but i did learn about some new techniques and brushes. so yea, just wanted to turn it in to say i did it......meh

andrelicious! thank you for your abundant use of fucshia! do u remember that mini dress made out of hot pink feathers that christina aguilera wore to some mtv awards thing? yours is like the spanish flamenco version. i like how each part of the outfit reflects that latin flavor. is the midsection covered with a sheer fabric? is that sparkles i see?!?!

so here's my crappy fall trend pick. i've always loved military looks. so i thought a neat little cropped jacket over a tube dress would look nice. i added the hat to make it a little more puck looking. i had to put her in checkered tights..which i wish i could find a pair of soooo bad. anyways..sorry for crappy bg and yes the drawing is done in ink and markers..since i never seem to get a chance on a comp. plus i just can't get away from hand drawings..and i love using markers...:3

that's cute! she looks like that street fighter chick. i like the communist thing u got going. i like the checkers, i'm just not sure if i like them with the outfit. the plaid i dig because the red and yellows go with the jacket. i think the checkers is just a personal preference tho rather than a design problem. good job!

Dre - I like the loose techs your busting here. Its nice how you got so much design into your cotton piece without packing lots on her. How do you do it man? I always feel I can gotta pack it on. How did you get that look with the brush? Cera - Sexay! Great traditional piece. I really dig the plaid with checker on the purse. I feel I just got caught checkin her out! Ion - This design is lookin phat man. Love the hair! Especially the curly cue and hair peice octamagigg razz The design of the jacket is rockin as well. Seems from the skirt on down you gave up? I feel maybe if the contra posta was pushed more and maybe her left leg was out more it would bring new energy to her. Went to Design Festa at the end of May and felt I wanted to have a booth at the next one in November. I'm trying to put together at least 2 booklets for the event along with other prints. Here is the first one I started on. Not sure about what price yet. Im thinking around 500yen each. Size might be A3. Still some stuff to add: Text about the each piece and there still one more page left(2 sides). I planning on putting Kayo's jewelry on one side and on the other I wanted to add works+links from this RRR thread. Let me know if I can add your work in here. Here are some pics from the last event.

oh. my. god. the guy with the horse head. you HAVE to do that. i don't care if you're ripping off what he does. it should be something everyone does at least once in their lifetime. do it.
ion: i like the silhouette of her torso pieces. how it's all squared off and masculine, which counters against how feminine her hair and hat is. but then it kinda breaks with the bare midriff and then goes into a completely different direction with her skirt.
i think if you had covered the midriff and gave her wide legged trousers with oxford heels, it would have been a solid masculine outfit with a feminine twist. and it would have given you a continuous line instead of having it be boxy on top and then slim on the bottom. or, the skirt with a fitted top would have been a cute, trendy outfit. but together it's not really working for me.
her stance is a bit masculine as well, which makes me feel that the trousers would have been a better fit overall. is it just me, or is her body not proportionate? her legs feel smaller, and a bit shorter than her torso. which is only emphasized by the boxiness of her top pieces.
separately, i really love the ensemble. her head and torso is a really cool combination of futuristic styles with a nice throwback to 50's glamour. and i'm digging the studs on the slip with the plaid overlay, topped off with the big buckle belt.
keep up the good work!

sporky- whuh oh! I hope I didnt hit a sensitve spot. heh heh
rejean! why you gotta show off so much lol. what is design festa? and how can I get a signed book lol. your exactly right man I just wasnt feelin it. I kinda went and started rendering s**t and had no idea what I was headed for so by the time I got to the legs I was like "f me this is lame!" heh and the pose just plain sucks thanks for putting it nicely though hehe.
sumin thanks for all the crits! I agree soooo much. this is what happens when I just go and paint with out actually coming up with a design first. all I had in my head was "shoulder pads should never come back... yeah lets do that." proportions are definetly off, again what happens when I just paint strait a head. but really theres no excuse for the stick up her a** she so obviously dosent enjoy heh. I'll try to do better next time!
Ceraphym- I'm feelin the same way sumin says. I think maybe shanging the size of the checkers or using a color instead of white for the squares would make it fit better for me. but what do I know?!
Dre I've been wanting to see more expiremental stuff from you! I'm really liking how its smoothly rendered in some spots and the gets all painterly in others. cool beans.

Rejean: Your stuff is rawking! There is some stuff in there I haven't had the honor of seeing yet. Be sure to save a book for me, I want one O__o. You're skillz are leveling like your in a hyperbolic chamber. I'm simply geeking out over all your crazy fashion that your including in your characters now. Straight up pwning everyone, and keeping your own original flavor while doing it. Great stuff man. That gathering looks like fun. The horse head is pretty awesome, they are their own muse. Great stuff! double drool!
