I'm Louisa, I'm 21 and I have a 5 month old daughter. I enjoy all aspects of steampunk. I have always loved science fiction and my favorite genre is dystopian sci-fi. I enjoy HP Lovecraft, Phillip K d**k, Neil Gaiman, among others. I also love steampunk-ish movies like Castle in The Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, other Studio Ghibli films, City of Lost Children. My favorite steam character from a movie is Kronen of Hellboy. My roots are in loli fashion but I also enjoy steampunk. I watch the steamfashion lj community, I recommend it to anyone with an lj. http://community.livejournal.com/steamfashion/

Greetings and Salutations one and all
I am Sir Eugene Ainsworth, I have been into steampunk pretty much for most of my life not even knowing there was a genre called steampunk. I have up until recently been calling it sci-fi. I have been a fan of Jules Verne, as well as H.G.Wells read them when I was a child. Well it is 2am here and I have work in the morning so I will chat with you guys later. Until next time have a pleasent day.

I think in some ways I've always been a fan of steampunk. Not that I was aware there was such a thing, but I fell in love with the broad fantasy genre at age 7 when I read The Lord of the Rings. Since I jumped straight into books usually considered too advanced for someone my age, I quickly became a regular in the adult fiction / science fiction sections at my library. I tore through Jules Verne novels, HG Wells, Oscar Wilde, Arthur Conan Doyle, etc with a passion. Just in recent years have I begun to discover the steampunk culture. I look forward to meeting you folks!

Hello
My names Ben, I'm 19, and I'm from the UK near Oxford. I've been gradually getting into steampunk for a few years now but didn't actually know what it was called until a short while ago.
Since the instant i left school i went straight into an engineering college and began studying that, as finding out how things work and all things mechanical are my passion, but unfortunately ended up in electronics (whats that? i hear you cry! our computers are steam and clockwork!) as its where it seems to be going these days.
i am a survivor of the all too common goth syndrome these days, but i suppose i was probably seen as wierd to them too because i always carried a pocket watch with me.
hopefully i can change that now though, working on adding a bit of colour to my wardrobe ^_Q
(lol pretty much what i posted in bg too)

Hello! I am Lady 2jane, and a veritable newb to this whole steampunk silliness. That isn't to say I'm not interested though.. every day I find myself getting more and more sucked into this world of old Victorian theories and brass.
You can call me whatever you deem to be fit, as long as I know you're talking to me. I do not roleplay online- for some reason it bothers me. But I dont mind acting the era at times.
Thank you for letting me into this wonderful guild, even though I know next to nothing. heart

ah, I haven't introduced myself yet.
I'm Lauren, but my internet pseudonym is Lady Adokenai. I would like to change it to something more...civilian and Italian based but I can't think of anything good. (and I'd have to change my email eventually...lol.)
I think if I had a steam roleplay character, she'd be the sort to get all these grand ideas and not have the foggiest idea of how to execute them. she'd try and whatever gizmo she was working on would just...fall apart out of nowhere. that's sort of how I am anyway. XD I don't roleplay though, it's so awkward for me!
I'm a former lolita...I still love lolita but I feel like I'm getting too old to wear it. especially since I really love sweet lolita. D: I think that steam is in the same vein but in a grown up step. 3nodding So if you've got any questions on lolita, I'm here to answer questions!
I've just gotten into steampunk, so I'm not too hip on everything yet. rolleyes please be easy on me!

'Allo. I'm a friend of Tiny5th's, name of James, but on here I go by the name of Gestalt Windwake. I've been into Steampunk ever since I played a little game called Arcanum, and ever since then I've had loads of exposure to the genre in gaming of both electronic and tabletop varieties. It's completely fascinated me.
I'm also a lover of Victorian fashion in general.
As a sidenote, I have a roleplay character by this same name, and he has an Airship of his own, known as the Brass Dragon King. On the exterior it looks like just that - a gigantoid Brass Dragon. =O Hope tha's acceptable. <3

Hello there, I am Steel Dragon 77. You may call me Steel, or, if in a very Steampunkish mood, Edison. I am a tinker and clockmaker (though in real life I don't have the foggiest idea of how to put even a waterclock together!) and have been a fan of the genre of Steampunk since, well... I suppose since I first saw Disney's 20,000 Leagues. This fascination has been inflated by my discovery of Hayao Miyazaki's more steamish works and the game TES3, Morrowind (specifficaly the Dwarves and their wonderful observatory). I look forward very much to my membership in this guild. Cheerio!

Well, finally! I've been meaning to post my introduction to this fine guild ever since I've been accepted!
My name is Michael. I've been into steampunk forever but never knew what it was until I started researching it last year in college. I'm known all over on many sites as Draconix12, and on the brassgoggles forum I go by the moniker of Capt. Nicodemus Gooding. You can call me whatever you like, but I'm sure draconix would be appropriate for simplicity's sake. I look forward to getting to know all of you better and enjoying our wonderful steampunk world.

Huzzah! I have found my haven! biggrin
Good day to you, sirs and ma-damsels. I am, as you know, Jack Sorenson(not really). But you can refer to me as:
(For those who can't see the image: LaundryMan)
I found the guild from a gentleman in the Ye Olde Official Victoriana and Steampunk Suggestion Thread, which was found using Google search. He had a link to this guild, and I clicked on it. Next thing you know, here I am!
Thanks for getting me here thus far, Vanghar. And I hope I shall be known as a friend to any (and hopefully all) of you.
pirate

The name of the gentleman (as I remembered just now) is Gestalt Windwake

Hello all, I'm Kaylilly.
I suppose the start of my interest in steampunk is rooted right along side my overwhelming love of Treasure Planet, the under appreciated Disney movie. From there I'd say the Sega game Skies of Arcadia added a lot to it. [Can we tell yet I have a love of airship adventures/travels? xD] Currently I just finished reading Ilse Witch the first book of the Voyage of the Jelre Shannara series, which while more fantasy in base, still has airships and such technology in it. [And is a good read besides]
Thats about all I can think up at the moment, look forward to chatting you all up in my travels through the guild.

Hello, My name is Melissa. I live in Chicago and enjoy scavenging, antique collecting, fashion and sewing. Not necessarily in that order. My area of expertise is the 19th Century. I especially love old wooden furniture and paintings. I am also interested in learning skills such as blacksmithing and woodworking in the future. I would like to meet others that share such interests. Feel free to PM me.
