Watching Kane she would have asked him what he was doing, until she felt his fingers on her neck. Her tought was to growl but the movement was gentle. Closing her eyes slightly she tilts her head back slightly like she did before.
Instead or the purring noise he made, she kicked her left foot repeatly. Whimpering she moves closer to Kane rather enjoying the pet. She was shock at the same time that she was showing a weakness by allowing him to do this.

Kane snickered, genuinely amused for once. Well...that hadn't been exactly what he was expecting or hoping for...but it was definitely a reaction. A rather interesting one.
He wasn't sure how he felt, considering she was whimpering and moving closer to him, but he was too intrigued by all this that he didn't have time to worry about feeling uncomfortable. "Well...isn't that...interesting?" he mused aloud finally.

Kika opens her eyes looking up at him, darkening alittle she looks away from him. She couldn't help but wonder if maybe she done something wrong, but he was chuckling so she assume she didn't. Tilting her head she lifts her hand to rub at his neck "Yea seems we both react differently."
A small smile form across her lips before she let her hand fall away from his neck. She didn't understand it at all, why she was drawn to Kane. But she wasn't going to try to figure it out right now. They both seem comfortable, and that she didn't want to spoil.

'Growling' again at her touch, Kane smirked. "Seems so. Guess it's a species thing afterall, hmm?" Not to be outdone, he let his fingertips wander upwards, along her jawline and under her chin.
Canines were strange things to be sure, but that didn't mean they couldn't be amusing, right?
...err...where did that thought come from? Not from the feline portion of his brain, that was for sure. It was still screaming at him that he was insane and signing his own contract for death. Kane had been ignoring it for some time now, focusing more on his curiosity than anything else.

Kicking her foot again she let herself enjoy the feeling. Who knows when the next time someone would get her to feel like this again. Turning towards him she lays on her side. Her hair falling into her face to hide it. If she had a tail it would be thumping the ground by now.
The canine in her was screaming at her in anger. She was getting along with a feline, it wasn't suppose to happen. But at this point, she didn't care. All that seem to be in her mind was how much this petting was relaxing her.

Kane chuckled softly again. He wasn't sure why, but something about this entire situation amused him to no end. Canine and feline, together at peace? This was not normal. It was not supposed to happen under any circumstances in fact, and yet...
And yet, here they were, lounging around in the forest, completely at ease with the other's presence. Definitely odd.
Since her hair was hiding her face, Kane allowed himself a rare smile. His was an odd life to be sure. A loner by choice...and yet, willingly spending time socializing here with a female Pae'il in the forest? He couldn't think of a greater contradiction at the moment. And yet, for some reason, it still didn't bother him. He was...dare he say it...enjoying himself. Plus, lying like that, she looked kinda' c--
Oh hell no, he didn't just think that! No, no, no, no, NO! Bad, bad brain...wandering like that. What in Telrunya was WRONG with him? Maybe he really should get out of here soon. Something was affecting his brain, apparently. Probably some odd, canine...disease-thing...
Clearing his throat, he looked around at the forest surrounding them. "So, uh...what now? I suppose I'm going to have to get something to eat soon. It's getting late." Feeling suddenly antsy, he needed to get away and that was as good an excuse as any.

Kika glance up at him smiling alittle before she sat up "Your right, you should go get soem food. I should go find Kal'daka and see what she been up to." standing she brush herself off before she turns holding her hands out towards him.
She felt kindof sad that they had to part ways, she didn't want to. It was the first time since she return that she felt like someone understood her. Giving a light chuckle she push the thoughts from her head about Kane. He was a feline, and she was a canine. It was simple as that, the two would never be anything but that.

Although he would never have done so under normal circumstances, Kane took her hand, bounding lightly to his feet and stepping away quickly. The feline part of his mind was happy. About time. 'Run! Leave now! Run! Run far away!'
"Yeah, sounds like a good idea. You don't think she's gotten in trouble or anything do you?"
'Why are you asking that? You don't care! RUN! NOW!'
Resisting the urge to growl at the voice in his head, Kane figured that make his sanity look even more questionable than it already was. He'd really have to find a way to shut that voice up one of these days. Somehow.

A worried look formed across Kika's face now that she thought about it. Kal'daka had been gone for a long time. Whimpering she sniff the air for any traces of blood. She was hoping the wolf pup went home to the cave. Looking back at Kane she bites her bottom lip "Think you could help me as I make my way back towards the cave? Just in case she is still out here?"

NO! Not a chance! I'm getting the hell outta'...
"Sure, no problem," Kane shrugged nonchalantly, eyes closed. He'd never admit it, but he was somewhat curious about this cave she mentioned. He knew about the houses that most Pae'il lived in, but that wasn't for Pae'il like him. He didn't really have a permanent home, since he simply traveled about the forest at will, following the prey and making bed for the night wherever he ended up. A place that was a balance between the two was an intriguing possibility that he couldn't pass up exploring.
"Silly canines...can't even keep track of each other," he commented lightly, shooting Kika a look to see how she responded. He really didn't like it when she whimpered like that...at least not with the worry practically radiating off of her in waves. She needed to calm down a bit. "Anyway, what direction is this cave of yours? Point the way."

Kika try to smile for him, but her fear for Kal'daka was far to great. Looking away she frowns again as she takes Kane's hand into her. Giving it a small squeeze she leads them towards Loki Nei Forest.
Her home was at the edge of the Aura Nin Mountain, hidden by some of the taller brushes that grew along the rock. Her biggest hope was that Kal'daka would be at home like she should be.

Kane resisted the urge to flinch or pull his hand away...though it was difficult still. Instead, he focused on trying to catch Kal'daka's scent on the air. His ears twitched constantly at each sound, mentally testing to see if it could be made by a wandering wolf. No luck so far.
The feline matched Kika's pace easily, though he sensed she could move plenty fast herself when she wanted to. Hell, he'd seen that first-hand earlier. The thought made him smirk a bit. She was a strange one, this Kika. Strange and confusing...though not altogether a bad thing.
As they neared the base of the mountain, Kane's eyes glanced about. He wasn't quite as familiar with this portion of the forest. It was more sparse here in places and he'd tended to bounce between Loka Nei and Dragnid anyway. "Interesting place," he commented idlly.

Kika glance around also trying to find her sister scent. Looking over at Kane she smiles slightly "Thanks this is I guess you can say my terrority. But don't worry I don't mind if you come hunt here. Just as long as you save some food." turning back she pushes some of the bushes away from her cave glancing inside.
Seeing that Kal'daka hadn't return home yet she whimpers as she push her hand through her hair. She was getting very worried now, it wasn't like Kal'daka to run off without telling her. Barking a few times she plops down on the ground almost near tears.
She wasn't really sure where to check now.

The allowance of another predator in your territory was a bold step and not one to be taken lightly...at least in Kane's world. He could only assume it was the same for wolves as for felines...
He was actually momentarily stunned, though one wouldn't have thought it possible. The stinging scent of salt on the air and in his nostrils quickly brought him out of his stupor. His eyes darted towards Kika again and he cringed internally. Not again...now what was he supposed to do?
"Hey! Stop that! There's no time for this crying s**t!" Okay, so Kane may not have had much in the way of tact...but he meant well. Sorta. Crossing his arms, the feral demon shot Kika a look. "You think crying is going to find her? Not hardly. Slows us down if nothing else."
He rolled his eyes tiredly, stepping closer to the feral angel. So alike, and yet so different, he mused not for the last time. "Listen..." He dropped down, crouching on the tips of his toes, elbows resting on his knees as he balanced lightly and easily, leaning in closely to peer at her face. "Stop that crap right now or we'll never find her. You're over-reacting anyway. I'm sure that crazy canine is just fine and you're starting all this for nothing. Now, get on your feet and lets go find her."
Tilting his head in an odd fashion while raising one eyebrow, he leaned in closer still, almost nose-to-nose with Kika...but not quite. "You wanna' find her or not?"

Glancing up at Kane Kika nods wiping at her eyes quickly. Closing her eyes only for a moment she smiles then leans forward to brush a simple kiss to Kane's cheek "Thank you Kane." standing she push her hand through her hair.
Looking around she calms herself down as she looks for any signs that her sister was here. It was only then did she actually see the footprint a fete away from them.
