Freakiest scene from Volcano is when the sulfuric acid burns that one lady in the tunnel or when the firefighters get melted alive. Or when the subway worker melts.

Not sure. It's about "when the Earths core stopped spinning" and the Earth goes into literal "convulsions" due to the lack of a stable magnetic field. I think the Golden Gate bridge get's melted due to a solar ray hitting Earth.

Yeah. Lot of people die, ther'e conflict with the crew and the people on the surface, and the magnetic storms get worse, destroying Rome i think.
