umm... I'm not very good or creative or witty with these intro things, so I'll just try to keep it short xd
I'm 18, a fine arts student in college (freshmen), and short.
I love to dance and sing, even though I'm terrible at both and should probably not be allowed to do either in public. I am ticklish, bad at basic math, shy, dorky, in love with geeky boys, clumsy, talkative, confusing, bad at pool, and undecisive often.
Oh, and I'm just a bundle of contradictions whee
I love to write, play music, draw, and design. But I'm mostly here for drawing, cg coloring, and graphic design.

 yeah...check out that fat a**. I'm Darren. I was born in 1982 and I don't think I exist, technically. I have a decent learning curve when it comes to art, but my social skills are just about nil. So I guess I share a lot in common with most of you. I'm horribly polite and I probably won't tell you how I really feel for the sake of being diplomatic. I really try to like everyone and I find that infuriating, even if no one else does. I like sushi. Like, I really like flying fish eggs because they are sweet. I also eat smoked oysters, sardines and just about anything else that comes from the sea. I also eat bloody meat when i'm stressed out. I'm a poor artist as I just doodle with a mouse when i'm bored. The sad part is that visual art has replaced the void I used to fill with literary art. Still piss poor in either area, though. I do a lot of little things well, but nothing I do is great despite the meaning of my name.

Me:Ah...I turn 16 on friday! Yay! A..junior in highschoooolll, alright, hurrah. I go by ferret most places on the web, as it has been established that I would be a ferret, iff'n I was a critter. I believe that says quite a bit about my nature, but I will ellaborate. I am sarcastic and cynnical and sneaky and proud. Witty and curious and loyal and loud (OH GAWD IT RHYMES THAT WAS NOT ON PURPOSE) Ive got a fighters spirit and hang with the boys, but Im a hopeless romantic at heart. I do capoeria with my guy pals and we are steadily leaning torwards breakdancing. I climb trees and love Interlochen, that bangin' art camp up in the goonies of Michigan (Anyone? Eh? Eh?). Im in the AP classes, and like most geniouses, I procrastinate and paraphrase and am a terrible speller. I still putt along with all A's and B's though. So its cool. Annnnd, Im a ferret- yeah. Which is, kind of ironic, I think, because I have never so much as looked upon one, in person. I live in Hawaii, you see, and they- along with snakes and iguannas and all the other cool pets, are illegal here.
Art: I started with color pencils in about 8th grade, but shortly after I discovered the computer. I learned how to draw in real media side by side with the computer. So there was never any of that "relearning to draw...on the computer" bit for me. And I love computers. The end. Um, so photoshop was my thing, for a long time, and then I kinda hit the roof. It started taking too much effort to get that beautiful painterly pastel look I'd been oogling on DeviantArt. So I downloaded and ripped OpenCanvas, but its extremely glitchy cause Im a lazy hacker and take shortcuts. So then I got...Painter. Yes, that was next, and Im still figuring it out. Just in the past few days I dug out my colored pencils and have been drawing like mad, with the joy of remembering. Its like riding a bike, uh...more fun with a bell on it, I guess. Whatever. So yeah, I like drawing furries because they are much more colorful then people, although when it comes to realism and photos, portraits are my thing. I still enjoy drawing people, but I <3 furries 4 evr. THE END. Christ.

Colorado at Boulder this fall for journalism, and frolics in the woods. Mmm yes. I probably should have stated this earlier...but my name is Sloane and I'm 6'1. But I'm not one of those disfigured, ogre-like tall girls. Thank you very much! I play volleyball...since I figure I have to do something with my height. I hate cats and love dogs. And yaoi. Hi, I'm Jess. This is unfortunately the only recent picture I have of me:  I'm 18, I live in the UK and I'm studying for my art foundation at the moment. Hopefully I'll be going to Byam Shaw next year to do a BA in fine art next year. I used to paint and draw but recently I've started making weirdass sculpture out of things I find and buy on ebay. This is partly because I'm pretty sucky at drawing and painting, doing art full time has actually made me worse at this too. I also do a lot of textual work. Other than that I spend my time spinning poi, reading, having pseudo-intellectual conversation and getting drunk. Life is good.

Hi, I'm Zebee ~ I'm 18 and am currently at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign to study painting. I love all kinds of art. Recently I've been working on a lot of paintings, but usually I work in coloured pencil, pencil, marker, or digital mediums. Other things I am into include playing piano, listening to music by Tori Amos, Ani Difranco... etc. etc., watching movies, designing clothes, and reading~ I hope to recieve a lot of help from this guild and to give help to all of you as well ! smile

 Yelloo. The name's Nonee, I'm 19 and a freshman art major (for about a week longer). I love comic books (like Hellboy, Top Ten, Fables, Y:The Last Man etc.) They got me drawing seriously, and here I am a couple years later minus a whole lot of suck. (Still much more to lose... stare ) Classic art wise I like German Expressionists, Art Nouveau, and Surrealists, Dali in particular. I also like reading in general, either fantasy/sci-fi or old stuff. Mark Twain is all 31 flavors of awesome. I'll listen to just about anything musically speaking, with the general exception of the mainstream in any given genre. (Except rock, I'll admit that.) I hope to get a lot of help here, especially with a webcomic I've got planned this summer. Will do my best to critique back! 3nodding

 *random webcam picture* I am nineteen years old and go to Lamar University. I am a "Visual Design" major. I got into Art Fags with CG stuff, but I like to do traditional media, just on larger-than-my-scanner-paper. I will have a digital camera in my hands soon, though. o: I also like to play the piano but I am lazy. :33 I used to write music and funnily enough my music went further in a contest than any art that I did. XD But music is too strenuous, so I've not been inclined to do much with it. D< Favourite book is Pride and Prejudice. Second favourite book is um...half of my Star Wars books. I listen to random music (predominantly Beatles) with Queen, random anime, and random songs that strike my fancy. Like "Brother Louie." That's my current 'I want to listen to that song all the time'...song. I am about to go to Florida and draw a lot because I won't have internet. XD

hihi (: my name is norah. i am fourteen years old, and i like to write {poetry, mostly} i don't really know what to say? i wrote my first poem in third grade. it was about spring and from what i know it is still up in my teacher's classroom. i've been entered into contests for my writing, and the computer i'm writing this with was one of my prizes!
i like a lot of super music: regina spektor, neutral milk hotel, mirah, metric, splatterhouse, dragonforce, preschool tea party massacre, daughters, the locust, bethany sharayah, and black eyes are my favorite.
i also take part in musical theatre and drama. being on stage is one of my main passions in life. i wish i wasn't so lazy, then maybe i'd pursue a career in the field.

'kayso, i totally just realized i hadn't posted hurr~
me. um. i was born in 1987, and currently, i'm studying for my associate's degree in graphic arts. i'll graduate this December. heart
i love to draw. doodle, sketch, whatever... although i'm not too great at it. i know a lot about illustrator, and photoshop too, but there's still so much to learn for the latter. i also know a bit of dreamweaver, quark, and flash, but they're a bit boring. hah.
i'm not so hot when it comes to anime. anime is just such a hard style to appreciate anymore, with all the little noob anime wannabes all over gaia. t____t
more to come later, i suppose.

This is meh:
My name is Kristina, but I'll answer to almost any name xD I'm 14 years young, but seriously wish I was older so I could have a decent conversation with my own kind without the phrase "HAHA SEX LOL" in it.
I'm a freshman aka frosh at Southridge High School and hating it. I'd really rather be at that nice private school, Catlin Gable.
In my freetime I enjoy drawing, video games, like most teenagers the computer, anime/manga, and going to plays. I recently had a wonderful time seeing the broadway play Wicked, especially since the girl who plays Elphaba comes from my home <3
I am obsessive over anime/manga, but do not confuse me with the mauling fangirls weirdos. I do not like FMA, I do not like Inuyasha, I do not like Bleach, and all those annoyingly repetitive animes. I like original series. Like Azumanga Daioh, Ninja Nonsense, Kannazuki No Miko, Card Captor Sakura, Angel Dust, etc...
Same with video games. I like originality, like Katamari Damacy and Loco Roco. Not your half-assed first person shooter.
Other stuff about meh:
I also love fashion, even though by the way I dress you normally wouldn't guess that I did.
I've also been studying Japanese for 2 years with a private tutor. I plan on becoming a translator when I'm older, and being an artist as a side job, just for fun.
I'm not very athletic, although I do play DDR occasionally and will be starting up kendou soon.
Sorry that I wrote a fricken essay on myself, but... xD
By the way, my favorite color is not blue, but red.

Despite my avatar and my actions in and around Gaia, I am a girl. And after looking at everyone else, I feel like a freshman again, and that makes me kind of sad. This sadness is deepened with the knowledge that I know several juniors that are older than me, which makes me feel depressingly inferior in the high school food chain despite the fact that I am supposed to be a senior. I'm 16 years old.
In other words, I'm kind of young. ***** plz.
The extent of my artistic training is three years of high school art courses and several hours trying to draw large-eyed anime fools that are meant to be cute/pritty/ohsokaway. I've kinda branched into a more cartoony/western-animation-styled style, but it still looks hopelessly anime...y. ...Yeah. I'm working on it. In the meantime... I like to draw dogs. =D
I'm Korean, so people automatically assume that, because I am Asian, I have leet drawing skills and stellar grades. I force-feed people the lie that my parents locked me up for five years with nothing but pencil, paper, and erasers in a blank room, and that is how I came into posession of what they call superior drawing ability. As a service to my people, I told everyone that such a routine is mandatory for all Asians.
I also consider myself rather long-winded when I start writing nonsense stuff.
