Time for me to do a proper intro, since my first one was a bit too vague.

Age: 26

Occupation: Sandwich Artist / part-time imbecile (see website)

Favorite Bands/Artists (other than Queen): Elton John, David Bowie, The Beatles (and solo efforts), The Bee Gees (and solo efforts), Genesis (and solo efforts by Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, and Anthony Phillips), The Who, Led Zeppelin, Keane, Moby, Daft Punk, Seal, Robert Palmer, Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, The Police (and solo efforts), Eurythmics, Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, Carly Simon, Paul Simon, Earth Wind & Fire, The Spinners, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley & The Wailers, James Blunt, would you like me to stop now?

How I Got Into Queen: Well, as a young boy I often heard variations of "We Will Rock You" on television (I distinctly remember the bicycle company Huffy using the song as part of their jingle). I didn't know who the band was until after Freddie died. I was 11 at the time. The following year, I saw the Wayne's World version of the "Bo Rhap" video on VH1 and thought it was pretty cool. Later, I saw George Michael perform "Somebody to Love" at the tribute concert and got me a little more interested in the band. Throughout my teenage years, my parents would have the car radio tuned to the local classic rock station where I enjoyed listening to some of the fruits of their labor. When I was about 17, I discovered my mom's collection of 45s and found she had "We Will Rock You"/"We Are The Champions" and "Killer Queen"/"Flick Of The Wrist" in her collection. I enjoyed listening to them over and over again. In fact, I still have them! About five or six years ago, I found "The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert" on VHS in my local drugstore. I purchased it and went home to watch it. I was amazed at all the performances contained on the tape: Exteme's medley, Def Leppard's "Now I'm Here", Roger Daltry's "I Want It All", and so on. It made want to listen to the original versions! Since then, my Queen collection includes all the studio albums, all the live albums except Live Magic (I've read the reviews about how the record company butchered their performances), CD singles of "We Will Rock You"/"We Are The Champions, "You Don't Fool Me", and "Flash", a bootleg CD containing rare B-sides, a limited edition Brian May interview disc, Freddie's Solo Collection boxed set, the two Greatest Video Hits DVD sets, Classic Queen on VHS, Greatest Flix III on VHS, and the 45s I just mentioned. Of course, my collection is incomplete! rofl

YAY FOR UNINTELLIGIBLE QUEEN OUTBURSTS! 4laugh

Freya kicks some serious a**. My favourite would have to be Kuja. I love his character design.
I wonder about his preferences though >_>
I also thought that Beatrix was pretty cool.

I've been watching Wembley for a week straight ^o^
PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 7:25 pm

Vivi reminds me so much of Deaky for some reason >_>; I think when I'll replay it, I'll rename him to 'John' xd

Beatrix was pretty cool, I think it's her awesome hair (doesn't everyone in FFIX have awesome hair)? Gah, but the only downside is that the whiney, usually useless-other-than-healing heroines Square always come out with (Yuna, Garnet/Dagger...TIFA!)

Wembley! You have Wembley? gonk heart I only have the Greatest Hits I, II, III. A Night at the Opera and a home-made 'Deaky' CD xd ;;

Whooooa! I never even thought about it that way before you said it xD
I can totally see that now!
Dude, I hated Garnet. As soon as she requested to change her name to "Dagger," I decided to call her "Moron" for the rest of the game. It made the more emotional scenes kind of weird. sweatdrop
And Tifa... lord. Heroines = lame.
The Mana heroines rocked, though... damn you Square! Be consistent!

Well, I have the DVD ^^. I ordered the album(s) this morning on Amazon.
I have Greatest Hits I, A Night at the Opera, and News of the World. ^^;
Prett pathetic. I'm working on it, though. As soon as I get a job...
I REALLY want A Day At the Races and The Works. ... And Queen II.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2006 4:33 am

The reason the Mana heroines were cool is cause you get to control her decisions throughout the game (I'm assuming you're refering to Legend and Secret of Mana >w<) I really hated it when Zidane was all emo-angst-crap when he figured he started to 'love' Dagger/Garnet/Moron.

Gah~ You know that 6 year old kid with the Moogle? I think she was just as irritating. For God sake, she was talking to Garnet about LOVE and she's only 6 gonk Shouldn't she be all like, "Eww! Boys are gross!"

My collection is pathetic, only because I don't have the heart to bug my dad to order things online gonk That's why I made it a promise to at least visit London for some decent Queen stuff >w<

Oh, yes, that's true xD Don't play Sword of Mana, though. That game's ending was so shitty it ruined the game.
It had me go get every spirit leveler I could find, and then the boss... oh, Christ.
I will NEVER forgive Square for that! GAH!

yep. Angsty FF dudes lame up the game. I swear, girls will still like it without the angst! If they want angst, find a damn soap opera!
Yeah..., that character wasn't exactly well-thought out. And she was pretty articulate. I could see MAYBE 10... but whatever.

xD I beg my parents constantly. They just shoo me away. rofl
