"I have, Mother. If Thalon needs the help, I'd be more than willing to offer mine the rest of the way. While its on the edge of the town, its actually not too far following the path I took." Kit pointed, and the house she had mentioned was just visible over a small hill.
"Yes, just let us hurry..." She breathed, her energy clearly waning swiftly. Blinking as one about to fall asleep, she looked through heavy lidded bloodshot eyes at her children. Was this really all she had left in this world? She could not afford to lose this toehold on the Planet, she knew that this might be the last chance she had. While she would never truly be destroyed, if she was defeated again, she would likely never again be capable of a physical manisfestation.

"Very well, Mother." Kit moved then, to help support both Mother and Thalon. Once she was helping them, she began to lead the way down the path she had followed to the house.

Barely able to stand, Thalon placed the majority of both his and his burden's weight on Kit. Stumbling still, he stayed in a state of half consciousness.

Thalon's mind drifted back to the day when he had just learned of the new SOLDIER program. Flashing forward to the day when the Sixteen year old with jet black hair applied and was accepted into basic SOLDIER training. Now he was at the graduation ceremony, at the top of his marksmanship class. Laughing as he joked with his friends about how he managed to sneak up on a General of ShinRa. The Wutaian ninja fell dying from the tree, blood rolling from her chest as she turned towards him and gasped in a barely audible whisper.

"Thank you" He said as he collapsed into blackness against Kit.

Kit stumbled a little under the weight of the suddenly unconcious Thalon. "Oof... Korei, come give me a hand please. He's heavy...." Bracing herself, she continued to support Mother and Thalon while she waited for Korei.

Korei moved over to help Kit and shifted Mother to Kit as she took Thalon. She moved the unconscious man onto her back, as if he was piggy backing, and slowly began to follow Kit as she lead the way. It took alot to not fall over from the extra weight. Strength was never her's to use. It took all her skill and speed to keep herself from tripping.

"Please hurry. I'm luck to be moving, let alone standing with Thalon on me. I'm not strong like everyone else."

In some dark part of her mind she hated herself for saying that. Weakness would only get her killed. Korei only hoped that her new 'family' wouldn't use the knowledge of her 'lack of strength' against her. It would be a sad day if she had to be alone again. She honestly was tired of running form the world and her problems.

"Thank you..." Kit gave Korei a quick smile before continuing down the path towards the house, moving as fast as Mother could. It was a short trek, but for the weakened group it was long enough.

Helping Mother up to the door, Kit supported her for the moment it took to open the door, then helped her inside and to one of the chairs that was still right-side up. Once Mother was seated, Kit would hurry to right a few more pieces of furniture for Korei, Thalon and herself.

That done, she would go to help Korei and Thalon.

Korei followed Kit to the house and took the short distance inside slower so she didn't drop Thalon. She stopped near the door as she began to lean, throwen off slightly by her sudden stop in movement. Righting herself as best she could, she looked over at Mother and turned to find out where Kit had gone.

"Find me something soft for him to lay on. Sitting him up could lead to him falling over."

Korei wobbled foward slightly and closed the door with her foot. She tipped foward slight and barely had time to call out as Thalon's weight threw her off balance. The wind was knocked from her and her knees began to ache from the force of the fall. Rolling Thalon off, she lifted herself up slowly and looked over at Kit.

"Did better than I thought I would. Still hurt. Check Thalon out, I'll deal with myself."

Kit hurried over to Korei and Thalon, but wasn't in time to keep the pair form falling. She winced some.

"I'm sorry I didn't get here before you fell... I hope you aren't injured..." She then knelt next to Thalon, and began to carefully inspect him for injuries. "If either of you are hurt, all we can really do is patch up the injuries. I don't have any Cure Materia, nor do I have any Potions."

"Don't worry. I've had worst things happen to me."

Korei took a seat on the floor near where she fell and looked over at Mother as she sighed. She looked back over at Kit and ran her fingers through her hair as she tried to keep herself calm. It wasn't often that she willing stayed around others, let alone those who where like her.

"What should we do while Mother and Thalon heal? Spying on the enemy is good, but the one who goes might get caught. Scouting could lead to run-ins with the enemy. Sadly, I don't like to sit around and do nothing while I am being hunted."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 20, 2007 7:17 pm

Pausing in looking Thalon over, Kit looked at Korei.

"I honestly do not know. I've been so lost since Kadaj and Sephiroth fell at the hands of Cloud... I'd been stealing food to survive, staying away from people and towns in between thefts. Right now, I think all we can do is protect Mother while she recovers, then go from there."

Turning back to Thalon's unconcious form, she got to her feet, grabbed a hold of him, and managed to heft him to his feet. With a soft grunt, Kit dragged Thalon to the one piece of furniture that hadn't been over-turned-a ratty-looking couch up against a windowless wall; and carefully layed him down on it.

"I'm going to see if there is any food in this house... If not, I'll have to sneak out and either hunt something up, or sneak into a house and raid their pantry."

Morgana13
Morhighan listened in breifly. From what she understood, there was a gathering, and Sephiroth was...screaming internally?
She shrugged, then listened for a few more minutes, then made a decision.
"Hey, you." She addressed Sephiroth through the telepathy.
"Sorry to interupt the story, but I'm pretty sure that Jenova will be coming for me in a few days, so do you think you could help me out? I need to know where you people are, since I can't tell if my disembodied voices are good or not." She ignored the rude retorts from the voice.
Morhighan hoped he might be able to trust her, it would make finding the group a lot easier.

Sephiroth continued undisturbed with his story, regalling one of many tales involving Freyr's mispent years in Shinra's millitary, where the felitaur garnered quite the reputation for foolishness and embarasement, though as often his own as someone else's. In his mind however two voices answered the strange call.
All disembodied voices are bad of course. Sephiroth snorted. as though amazed anyone could think otherwise.

Who are you? what do you mean JENOVA's after ... Vaizel began, only to choke off his comment after hearing Sephiroth's response. Wait WHAT? You ARE a disembodied voice Seph!!
Actually I'm not. The general responded calmly. My voice, telepathic or otherwise, emenates from your body, so I'm an embodied voice. ... Now Aeris on the other hand...
Vaizel scoffed.

furry1337otaku
"Well then, have you found a secure and direct route to this place?" Jenova asked slow and coldly. She was beginning to look the part of an imperfectly returned to life creature. There was even a bit of a rancid smell beginning to escape from her, and likely if she was not soon at rest and absorbing Her cells into this body, she would probably be lost again of direct influence in the material world.

Yeah, kinda makes you wonder.... Dawn contemplated, agreeing to Vai's bait just to see if Sephiroth would rise to it. She doubted it but it would be amusing nonetheless. She chuckled as her husband was roped into storytime, only further encouraged by their rambunctions son, and was turning back to speak with Ruo again when she heard the new voice. Dawn blinked and was quiet. Er, Aeris did someone just...

Yes Dawn it appears someone else can hear and speak to us.

Welcome to the schitzophrenic club, I'm Kimberly Dawn Ahren Tuefel, the flower girl is of course the Notorious Aeris Gainsborough, the baritone is my husband Vaizel Dammerung Tuefel and the deep tenor is none other then the Infamous General himself, Sephiroth.

Dawn, you sound like a radio talk show host. Aeris muttered. In any case she asked us a question and-

We'll answer it when she tells us who she is of course. Dawn snorted. Honestly when Old Mother Space Alien is on the loose, do we really want to be telling strangers where we an all of our children are located.

Ruo felt the fatigue building and the numbness that would begin to rise on account of it creeping up her hind legs. She picked her way to her husband's side trying not to make her difficulty obvious, though when she veritablly collapsed to the ground next to him and heaved a sigh of relief she had made it far enough to sit down, a few people did notice, but by this point she really didn't care. She rolled her inhuman torso to her side and snuggled up against Freyr stretching out her legs and leaning her head against her husband's shoulder. Ruo knew she would start to run out of excuses to avoid the problem. She had been doing her stretches and exercises, but still, she hadn't ever regained her full strength after the accident. Truthfully she should have incoperated frequent trips to the Kisaragi-Hojo house into her regimine, but honestly she was more than a little afraid of the processes and shied away from involvement with the scientists, always looking for an excuse to get out of it.

After hearing his wife's response however Vaizel calmed considerably. I uh... suppose it's a pleasure to meet you!
Ect... Sephiroth murmured, Now onto the important part, what makes you think Mommy Dearest is after your blood-stained soul?
Does your voice have a name? Vaizel chimed in.
Scratch that... we don't want to know about the voice. Nor are we worried about you eating kids, I can handle things just fine. Sephiroth interupted.
You're being rude!
How is this a new development?
SEPH!!
Stop whining! I don't have to 'play nice', as Aeris would oh-so-eloquently put it.
Vaizel sighed heavily.

Freyr listened in rapt attention to the Ex-General's story, laughing and hooting at the recounting of his own mortifying experience. He did actually notice the point at which Sephiroth heard the other voice, though his tale continued fluidly as only a great multi-tasker could manage. Freyr knew the story well, and had heard Sephiroth and others relate it before. So the sudden shift in attention told in small details the chimera knew how to pick up. Nevertheless Freyr said nothing, simply noted it. As his wife sat next to him he wrapped an arm contentedly around her, noting too her discomfort. Despite her best efforts to hide it. Regret passed through him as he considered the imperfections of her body. He loved her with all his heart, but deep down he also knew that she would probably pass away long before his heart stopped beating. He decided then to take another look at Ghast's and Hojo's files. Anything to make her existance more comfortable.

You never know, really, with voices. Was Morhighan's calm rejoinder to Sephiroth. I've seen a couple of interesting cases. 'JENOVA' would be after me since I'm sure 'she' knows how my body works as a power factory for 'her' cells. 'She' also could probably try to take me using her mind invading powers. 'She's' tried it before. I would be a helpful ally to her, and 'she' knows it. She took a moment to chuckle at the exchange between Vaizel and Sephiroth.
'Mother dearest' holds no interest for me, since I am supposed to assist the residents of this planet, not 'her.' This would be one of those jobs, hm? And we can speak about the voice later, if Sephiroth should so wish it. Any more questions? I'd like to get to you as soon as possible. I can sense presence and it's making me sick.
She noticed as she spoke to the others that the voice was getting easier to ignore. Apparently it could only talk to her, which was a relief. Things were looking up.

(Good lord, how nice it is to have you back! ^___^ Anyhoo, when she says she senses JENOVA she can't pinpoint a location but she is getting ill from Jenny being up and about.)

Dawn considered it all for a moment, she still wasn't quite certain she trusted this new person, especially not when there was the possibility that her children might be at stake, Sephiroth or no. "Vai, how about you go pick her up and bring her back here, I think it's easiest that way." She said finally. She trusted Vaizeph would be fine on his own, and if there were any shady business afoot, it would be only him facing the danger. And if all was legit, the new person could be united with them in the face of Jenova's reappearance.

I still think you're a little too paranoid Dawn.

"Of course you do. That's why you're the one who's dead."

After a bit of rest, Ruo streched and sighing a little sat herself up more steadily with a small sigh. Pushing her thin rimmed sunglasses up her nose, she fidgeted with the collection of files under her arm and spoke to the others. "Aren't Cloud's little playtime friends going to show up soon. We need to look over these files together and assign groups to track down the remaining 'Children of Jenova' it will be tough to find them as it is, and the more time we give them to FIND Jenova, the harder it will become."

"Oh children, do not despair" Jenova said soothingly as she made herself comfortable in the corner. "Our Brother Thalon has on him some food, as well as my cells, which must be returned to me if I am to gather my strength. I am certain Thalon shall recover with rest, so ensure he is comfortable where he lies. As for what else you can do aside from waiting, you may wish to venture into the town in order to secure us with supplies, if our inventory is so desperately depleted. Of course, as always, be subtle in your taking, for we cannot afford to come under suspicion. The Traitors are looking for us, make no doubt about it, and one false step will spell our doom. Indeed, as soon as it is possible we will need to leave this town, for they will be searching for us through establishments first." With that Jenova was quiet waiting for response from her children.

OOC: It has been far to long since I've had the opportunity to slip into and out of character, it feels so good... Even getting into Jenova's head which is real proof it's been too long.

Sephiroth finished his tale, smiling at the roars of laughter that accompanied his punchlines. Standing slowly he dusted off his leather coat meticulously, even as he continued his mental conversations.
So... if I understand this correctly, you wish for us to come and 'fetch' you away from where ever you happen to be holed up. So that Mommy Dearest cannot find you. Sephiroth mentally shook his head and sighed.

We'll come pick you up! Vaizel insisted,
Sephiroth grumbled something uninteligible, but did not protest. Turning to his audience he smirked.
"Well boys and girls... I have an errand to run, but I'm certain 'uncle' Freyr would be willing to keep you entertained!" Waving off any protests he strode dramatically from the room, his leather coat swishing impressively behind him. Just outside the door, and still in veiw of the gathered peoples he spread Vaizel's great black wings and launched himself into the sky.

Freyr watched Vaizelphiroth leave, his smile never leaving his face, but his eyes narrowed ever-so-slightly and his gaze flickered to his wife. Knowing well she understand his unspoken message. "Cloudy's freinds will be here soon... right Cloudy?" Freyr chimed in answer to his wife's comments, "I'll get started on the tracking myself, I think I might know where some ex-SOLDIERs are!" Freyr stood, arcing his back into an impressive stretch spreading his paws and extending his claws so their curved lengths rasped against the steel floors. "I'll be back in half-an-hour. I've got my cell kay?" He winked at his wife and began trotting towards the doors, humming a tune under his breath.

Exactly. There is no telling what could happen if she found out about my second persona, and I wouldn't want her to take over it. Morhigan told Sephiroth mentally.
Also, I'm in Nibelheim right now. I'll go out and wait for you.
She stood and turned towards the door. After she walked through it she made her way to the well in the center of town and easily scaled to the top of it.
Morhighan figured that Seph wouldn't be too pleased to carry her back to who knows where, and she wasn't sure if these were voices that JENOVA was using just to find her, so she decided to have a way to carry herself. She concentrated. It had been a long time since she had done this, after all. Her face spasmed in a quick pain, but it was over quickly. She sighed and looked back.
A pair of bat-like wings met her eyes.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?" Morhighan asked aloud, smirking to herself.
