Snowfur walked over to were a small patch of dead grass was, and laid down on it, and feel asleep quickly.

Cari sat at the mouth of the cave. It was snowing now and the winds had picked up quite a bit. Miki and Tempest had returned but Sheik was still missing. She began to pace the enterance of the cave. He'll be ok. He's strong. He wouldn't die on me. Cari tried her best to stay calm and believe that Sheik would make it back.

"Well," Terra said, answering Kiko's question, "I'll think of something, and I'll give you the first letter and a hint as to what it is. For example, if I was thinking about a rock, I would say something along the lines of 'It starts with the letter 'r' and it is hard,' or something like that. Get it?"
"Yeah!" Kiko said, excitedly. "So who goes first?"
"Whoever wants to, and then the first person to guess it right goes next," Terra replied.
"Okay, then, how about..." Kiko thought for a moment. "I got one!" she exclaimed. "It starts with an 'L' and it is green."
Kyou looked over at his younger sister. 'Always trying to lighten the mood no matter the situation...'

Snowfur was having that same nightmare again, the one she had been having for the last few days, the one about the earthquake..When the earth shook, and her tribe waws scattered, and she was yelling for her rfather, mom, and brother, but at the same time, running from the pitch black crack that kept grwoing bigger...andd bigger..when all of a sudden! And then she woke up, shaking and sweating, but realizing she was safe in the cave, she went to stick her head in soem snow.

Echo thought for a moment. "It's a leaf!"
Loki padded over to Cari and looked out into the snow. "He's going to be fine, Cari. Sheik's capable of taking care of himself. He just hasn't had to prove it to anyone yet."
Impa padded over to Snowfur, concerned for the adult.

Ryari shifted around in her sleep, pressing up against the cold rock wall. She could feel warmth draining to the stone, and longed for Masao's presience next to her. Giving up trying to sleep, she got up and went over to where Cari was.

As Snowfur was sticking her head in the snow, she heard another fox was coming nearby, so she took her head out and said trying to sound cheerful," Oh, hi Impa, aren't you gonna play that letter guessing game with Terra and the others?"

Cari looked over to Loki. "I know he will be. He can pull through. I know he can." Cari looked out into the snow with a distant look in her eyes. She was distracted as a pretty female that she hadn't met before came to sit next to her.
"No, I don't believe we've met. I'm Cari."

Impa gave Snowfur a deadpan stare, seeing through the act. She was insightful for a kit, and knew the other was unhappy. "Later, maybe. I wanted to make sure you're okay."
Loki let the two talk, his gaze fixed on the storm outside. If you know wha's good for you kid, you're okay.
Sheik forced himself to stay awake, knowing sleep could prove fatal. He had to stay awake. For the tribe. For Cari.

"Hmmm..." Kiko said, thinking, "I don't know... Aunt Terra what happens if no one gets it?"
"Well, the person who said the clue gives us the answer and chooses something else," Terra replied. Thinking a bit, she added, "I think I give up now, too, Echo..."

Scowling disbelievingly, Impa walked back to her parents, giving up.
