Youko-chan AngelsShallFall Youko-chan ... xd We were cleaning out the books on my bookshelf, and I found a bunch of The Babysitter Club books, which is funny, because I had a shelf full of them, but never even read them... and I looked at one, and it said something like.. "Someone-Youko-forgets-the-name-of and the School Dance Phantom."
So I was like.. "HOSHIT!" And I read it... lol Some crazy person gets jealous of this girl who gets the lead role in ballet, and sends her threatening letters written in a red calligraphy pen, and steals her stuff and cuts it to shreds, and spills stuff on the floor before the girl dances so she falls and twists her ankles, and shoves her into a back-drop with wet red paint on it, and... yeah. One girl, Claudia, dubbed this person, "The Phantom of the Dance School" or something.
I was like... "HOSHITBADPHANTOMRIPOFF!! =DDDDDDDDD" Ho my gosh! I remember that book, when I read it like....AGES ago! Ha! I don't remember everything, but now that I've discovered Phantom of the Opera, it IS a bad rip off! Pssh. Writers need to be more orginal *goes to write her phanfiction* =P And why is it that The BabySitters Club books rarely have to do with babysitting? xd I have no idea.
But I was quite amused. I was like.. " lol Does that mean that she's Carlotta? Lawlz. *n00b moment*"
xd xD I wonder what Erik would say to this rip-off... Erik: D:< RAWR Shrink: Now Erik, what do we do to get rid of stress? Erik: ...punjab people =D Shrink: o_o No...we squeeze the tedd- Erik: Punjab! =D =D *punjabs Shrink* Shrink: -bear... *dies*

Couple of references (again rofl ): #1 - Sex and the City - in the episode Drama Queens, Carrie (Sarah Jessica) and her friend Charlotte go to the opera Aieta. Instead of watching the opera, Carrie looks around for men, and soon finds that her ex, Mr. (John) Big is watching her. With this, Carie nudges her friend and says she isn't feeling well, and bolts down and out of the theatre. She narrates this part of saying 'Sure, I was beign over sensitive, and a bit dramatic, but I had just seen the Phantom of the Opera...'........I freaked.
#2 - In the opening credits of a later season of VIP, a shot of the Phantom logo is visible when they introduce actress Natalie Raitano.

Ume Makoto This is more of a Phantom sightng... I went to the Alabama Theater in South Carolina tonight to see the "One" show. The reason I orignaly wanted to go was because in the add for it there was a picture of ERIK! So I wanted to go because of that XD The show was awesome, but they did this whole tribute to Broadway! They did a son from 42nd Street, HairSpray, Phantom, and Les Mis. The guy who played the phantom did a GREAT job, but his mask sucked XD. When I get home i'll post a picture :3. They had teh boat and EVERYTHING... and fog :3! And the song from Les Mis was great, I really wanna see it now! If any of you get the chance, check out the show. It was amazing! Edit: Ooops I forgot that during one of the songs in the show, they had a picture of the Paris Opera house :3 I SAW THAT ::phreaks out:: I SAW IT!!! ME, ME,ME!!! I DID!!! Anywho, my brother's friend told me about the Gremlins thing... OH And in the Sims, when you have a certain expantion pack where you can put things on doors and windows, put the floor-to-ceiling mirror on the door on each side. They walk through it!! And on the Sims creator thing, I painted half a guys face white! OH! And my brother's friend's parents when to a halloween party and his mom went as a masquerade person and his dad went as ERIK!! He said he still has the mask and I told him I'd buy it off him! *squee* Wanna see what phantomness I bought at Ebay?? Click Here!!

Got another reference: In Mariah Carey's comeback video It's Like That:
...and there's, like, six or eight of them.....all those smexy Geriks.....*Drools*...
....and a Masquerade party scene, dance sequence and all!
In another video of Mariah's, she bathes in water with rose petals in it.

Erisad There is one in Spongebob Squarepants...the one where Spongebob thinks he caught "The ugly." Patrick goes into Spongebob's pineapple to borrow bath beads when he hears loud organ music. Lo and behold, there's Spongebob with a cape and a funny mask on his face. "Go! Go away, noone would want a friend as ugly as I am!" "Sure they would, it'd make them feel better about the way they look!" xd Hah, i love that episode! I was all "OMGPHANTOMERIK!!" xd

This all has probably already been done, but I'm not up to looking through seven pages...not yet at least.
I was watching Spiderman 2, when Harry threw the knife, and it went through the mirror. I screamed 'HOLYSHITPHANTOMOFTHEOPERA!!!!' and I was promptly pelted with snack foods and condiments. T__T But its a reference...
The other one was on a show that I watch every once in a while, called Third Watch. This guy ends up getting part of his face all messed up in an accident, and I just thought about how he would look if he had half a mask on. ... He would be so sexy. Boscoooo<33
