[Well, you can choose to keep your post the way it is, in which case I'll respond with my characters trying to drag you off to the Wise Ones, or you can edit. o.O ]

Confronted with this sudden wealth of information, Flarus could only offer one response.

". . . . . What?"

Then again, maybe it would be wiser for Nake to pretend that he had come along with the other delegates. His story, however truthful, was actually quite likely to confuse them and arouse suspicion, whereas the delegates were expected, welcome guests . . . .

"Look I am just being truthful and I can understand why you would be confused my life is quite complicated." Nake replied.
((It's not much, but will that do?))

[It'll do. xp ]

Flarus and Baltus were still quite confused and unable to process this information, so Flarus motioned to his companion. A few silent gestures passed between them, and Flarus turned back to Nake.

"In any case," he said, watching the man closely, "we shall take you to the Wise Ones. They will know what to do with you. Now come."

With that, he turned and set off down the trail leading towards their village, looking back to make sure that Nake followed. Baltus would follow from behind.

Three hundred nautical miles from the largest island where these things were taking place was a small freighter with the now-familiar Raven Industries logo on either side of the hull. A smaller boat was headed their way, with a few men armed strictly for self-defense and another man with loose, casual clothing on- something that was worn during an expidition than anything else.

They had heard the briefing from the CEO that the Draconians were born and raised for combat, and lived their lives on a sort of battle-stations program. One had to win their trust in order to bargain with them properly. That said, they weren't entirely sure what would happen- one always had to be prepared.

As they came ashore, the four men along with the negotiator stepped onto the beach, their boots caked with sand by the time they reached the tree line.

Someone strange was here- several someones.

And just their luck: there happened to be a pair of Guardians, the local police force, patrolling nearby. The two Draconians caught the scent of humans on the wind, and went forth to investigate.

A few minutes later, the to of them emerged on to the beach, and spotted the group of men not far away.

The weapons that the men held and the boat that they had come in did not go unnoticed.

Immediately, they set their hands on their own armaments: the first possessed a shortsword (short for a Draconian, anyway) strapped to his waist, and the second laid his clawed hand on the handle of a large battle axe upon his back.

"Who are you, and what business do you have here?!" the first, a tall indivdual covered in blue scales, called out in his native language as they started walking towards them cautiously.

The translator that had been equipped on his belt brought the finished message to his earpiece in perfect detail. Oh yes, Evan had prepared for this one. The man raised his hand, and the guards behind him lowered their weapons.

"We're here to talk. Not fight, not disturb anything, just talk. The man we work for is... interested in you. Curious, so to speak. He's constantly busy unfortunately, so he sent me in his stead. My name's David- a pleasure to meet you."

He was surprisingly amicable about this, or at least the guards figured so.

Hearing his response, the pair seemed to relax, though they still did not remove their hands from their weapons. The drew closer, carefully, until they were within ten feet of the group. Over simple sets of clothing, they wore light suits of armor, as well as their weaponry and equipment. Even for a group of men armed with guns, they looked like truly formidable opponents.

Fortunately, it seemed they were willing to cooperate.

"My name is Relt," said the blue one, inclining his head in a gesture if greeting. Then he indicated the red Draconian next to him with his arm. "And this is my Guardian companion, Tyris. It is . . . . a pleasure, to meet you as well, David."

Tyris also nodded his head, though his hand still lingered near his weapon. He spoke after his partner had finished introductions. "If we may ask, what are your intentions, honorable David? You say you are interested in 'us', but what do you mean by this?"

The man nodded and said, "Well he's interested in your culture- habits, rituals, way of life. He believes that there's much we could lean from one another. I can't really say what's in his head, but I can say that we're not here to cause any trouble. See?"

The guards took this as their cue and turned the safties on their weapons. Apparently, they weren't going to hurt them, so they left them on the beach. It wouldn't do to have them taken by someone else, but they couldn't just bring them. They'd distrust them even more than they did now.

"Is there someone important I need to speak to?"

Nake followed them silently while wondering what would happen to his friends.

Relt nodded. "If you wish to speak to the Wise Ones, follow us." With that, the pair turned and led the way into the jungle growth, heading for their village. Coincidentally, it was the same village that Flarus and Baltus were leading Nake to, and the same one where Asherah had gone . . . .

However, he team of men had arrived several miles away from their destination, earlier in the day, so it would take them a few hours of hiking, whereas Nake was much closer, and had been discovered by Baltus and Flarus later in the evening. Thus both groups would arrive at the village roughly at the same time.

The two would meet as they reached the bottom of the street that led up the hill to the House of Elders. The two pairs of Draconians hailed one another as they met.

At that point, the two Guardians noticed the silver Draconian, Nake, following behind Flarus and Baltus, and slowed.

"Who is this, Flarus?" Relt asked, confused. "I have never seen him before . . . and I have never heard of a Silver Scale in the islands . . ."

"A foreigner Brethren, apparently," responded Flarus. Recognition sparked in Relt's expression. He had heard stories that there were Draconians beyond the shores of the islands, though to his knowledge, no living Draconian in Virconia had ever seen a foreign 'Brethren' before. Flarus continued. "We found him at Hapuna Beach." He glanced at the group behind the guardians. "And what about this bunch? Delegates?"

Relt shook his head. "More foreigners. Unexpected ones. They request an audience with the Wise Ones."

Flarus laughed. "Ha! Quite the coincidence! We seek the same." He glanced up the hill at the House, and gestured up the street. "Well, in that case, shall we go?" Relt nodded, and the four of them started walking up the hill, engaging in small talk with one another as they led the way for those behind them.

The jungle was indeed dense- but not impossible to navigate. Obviously, there was a clear path from and back to the beach. They were definitely intelligent, that was for sure. In any event, when they ran into the other party, the translator made the appropriate measures to make sure every word was understood, and yet David could say nothing.

He was here for business, after all. This new development was entirely out of his hands.

Suddenly a huge hole appeared next to the path and out of it jumped Allen Followed by Terran who was using his strong Geokinetic powers to make a quickly tunnel quicky so they could follow Nake.
"We wouldn't let you leave us behind." Said Allen with a grin.

Whoops. Big mistake.

Before anyone even had the chance to blink, there was the unmistakable sound of a steel blade being drawn, and suddenly there was a sword point touching lightly against Terran's throat, and a heavy axe blade resting against the side of Allen's neck.

"Who are you?" Relt snarled, baring his fearsome white fangs at them. Obviously, Draconians didn't really appreciate surprises like this . . . .
